WHITNEY King, 32, from Montana, lost her dad to ALS-Lou Gehrig's, a rare progressive disease at the age of 11. From his terminal diagnosis when she was six years old, Whitney began to gain weight, using food as a comfort. By the end of high school, she weighed 230lbs. After meeting her husband, the couple had a miscarriage, causing Whitney to gain more weight. She told Truly: "My relationship with food when I was overweight was not good, I was an emotional eater." Continuing she said: "I had thoughts [that] I'm not good enough, I'm not worthy enough. When I first met my husband, I thought 'why would he even want to be with me?'" At her heaviest, Whitney weighed 269lbs. Then in 2014, the couple managed to have their first child. Thinking of her dad, Whitney didn’t want her son to grow up without a parent as she had done. "Going through the pregnancy with my oldest son made me have that light bulb go off to where I was like, 'I need to lose the weight'." When her baby was two months old Whitney decided to put her health and the future of her family first: "I thought I can't be selfish, I can't leave you. I know how traumatic that was without a parent." Through a combination of home workouts and careful portion control, Whitney lost a total of 130lbs. She has three stepkids and three biological children, always working around them to make her weight loss last. Now she wants to inspire other mothers and show that it’s possible to lose weight naturally. When she was starting her fitness journey she would post "in a lot of fit fitness groups on Facebook, I'd post my progress pictures and I would get tons of messages from women asking for help asking what I ate, asking what exercises I did," she explained. Two years ago she decided to turn her passion into a business and started coaching women on the same path as her. In this episode of Brand New Me Whitney compares her size now to the wedding dress she once wore, with plans to renew her vows with her husband. "On my wedding day, like I felt miserable, uncomfortable," she said. "It should be a happy day and you feel confident and loved. And I did feel loved, but I didn't love myself." Whitney finally goes dress shopping for the big day ahead, to get the gown she desires to show off her new look and life.

Not to minimize her hard work, but I'm sure she had a tummy tuck and boob job at least, you don't lose that much weight without sagging and extra skin.

So happy to see a video that showcases a person changing their health for the better! I am over seeing videos around people with boobs the size of bowling balls ruining their back, or Brazilian butt lifts that could cause them strokes/heart attacks due to the intense fat injections……

Her husband is my hero. He didn't stand in her way and he encouraged her. A lot of dudes (of a certain age) would have a problem with their wives losing weight. They feel as if their wives are looking to find someone new or trying to look attractive to someone else. When really it's about improving her health and life.

That’s what’s wrong with most stupid women.
When they loose weight they start getting the attention they never thought they will get.
And now, in there small minds they think they are now better than everyone and far better than the situation they were in. Which was perfect for them.
      And then they loose control.
      So sorry to ur uncle.
He deserved better and still deserves better.

When I weighed over 200 lbs (which I still weigh over 200 lbs), I just found out that I ate too much junk food and when I started getting more concerned about my weight, I was trying to get some healthier options and eating some healthy snacks at school and having Subway or Chipotle for lunch most of the time and whenever I would get In N Out, I would order protein style burgers for myself but as much as I love fast food, I am trying to lay off McDonald’s, Del Taco, Taco Bell, Burger King, Carl’s Jr, and other restaurants besides Subway, Chipotle, and In N Out

Alot of the foods that will cause you to gain weight significantly over time spike your blood sugar immediately. Chipotle sounds good but its actually just rice and beans(which have some fiber) and other oily, spicy ingredients.
EAT ALOT OF VEGETABLES with the food you already like eating but make sure you can keep track of the calories
Don't eat any fried foods or consume candy or Sodas.
Don't eat anything that you can't keep track of in a diet tracking app. Use food calories tracking app or Lifesum or something similar.
For now, keep track of calories! Weigh yourself once a week. Your weight fluctuates by 5 pounds due to water and digestion stuff.
The simpler food with ALOT of vegetables is better for you! Fiber and vitamins from vegetables and fruits: This will help you lose weight, and MAINTAIN your weight. If you can keep track of the foods you eat, then sure eat it, but keep in mind you might crave food later at night before bed. Protein is important to stave off hunger cravings.
Losing weight is a mental challenge mostly.
Have patience and faith. If you know what you are doing is correct according to healthy guidebooks with cheat days, then keep doing it.
Also, You shouldn't be losing more than 10 pounds per month, at the most.
