Good video. Do you remove the old filter before running vinegar through the system? Seems like the filter might reduce the effects of the vinegar wash.
I tried this on a water dispenser that was dispensing so slow that it became worthless to use. It was a steady, but small stream of water coming out. However, when I disconnected the line from the pressure wall valve and put it in the Vinegar bottle, I couldn't get any water to come out of the dispenser. I could feel the pump working and trying to draw the vinegar though the line, but after 10 minutes, still no water at all would come out of the dispenser. Any thoughts?

Hi! Thank you for making this video. I have a question about a different topic. We have the same refrigerator as you do in the video. Ours works fine when we use the drinking water line, but when the ice maker starts drawing water and making ice, ice pools at the bottom of the freezer. Do you happen to know why that is? Thank you so much again.
Sometimes the ice gets stuck in the shute. On the freezer door. I normally look through there and take out as much ice as I can. Then put some hot water in a cup to pour into the shute. Make sure to have a pitcher or big cup on the door of the freezer to collect whatever you are pouring through the shute.
Thank you for this video, my water taste fine but my ice taste bad I replaced the filter, do you think i should clean the pipes for the ice to taste good again ?
Isn’t it necessary to clean the waterline behind the wall too, not just the waterline to refrigerator or is that the job of the filter? I’m asking because I have not retrieved water from the refrigerator in years(note: I have a new refrigerator and the waterline was replaced).
Better check whether you have a filter inside the fridge. May need to remove the filter and install the bypass device supplied with the refrigerator before you start.
Can you clarify how long to let the vinegar sit in the fridge water line before flushing it out? You say 5 minutes but then you say 15 minutes for the ice dispenser chute and water dispenser hose.
Hey Brandon - may have been asked on your socials, but what kind of footstopper cork (or whatever) do you use on all your appliances to have them slide around on your floor like magic? Lots of your appliances when you're doing cleaning videos just seem to glide - and I want in on it! Cheers.
We never run vinegar through all the incoming water pipes in the house that has been running for decades, why would a water feed in fridge be different? I could understand cleaning the water outlets where it can sit and build up some mold and grime.
My water dispenser on this fridge sprays out so far forward that it misses the tray entirely and runs down the front of the door. I constantly have mineral build up from the water stream. It would be awesome if you made a video showing how to remove that front dispenser control panel on this unit (or any tips on removing it.) I’d like to get access to that water line so I can extend and redirect it towards the water/ice tray. I’ve tried depressing the two clips under the touch panel like you would with most other whirlpool dispensers, but there is still something holding the panel in and using any kind of force to pull on the panel is going to break that something.
What causes an old lettuce smell on ice and in fridge? I think I kind of taste it in the water, but it really smells strong in the ice and a strong. I do not have lettuce in my fridge. I also cleaned out the whole thing and it smells even stronger now like lettuce.
