Have you done a video introducing the practical considerations for getting started in vanlife? Like, how do you deal with licensing, mail, and all that? Which mobile phone service do you use?
Ok, so I am a 58 year old retired Midwife in New Hampshire USA. I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure at 44. I have outlived the Drs projections by living a good life and using my time to learn and expand myself in my mind since my body will likely be staying put right here at home. I try to be an encouragement to others because it makes me feel good to lift others. My favorite part of your Chanel is I love to nature journal and you have a magnificent eye that lets me see things that spark my curiosity and send me on learning binges about Mushrooms and areas of the map out your way as well as animals I didn’t know much about because I am in a very different but similar are of the earth. That being said, I was also an educator as a midwife, and taught my own children at home. Teaching 4 children to read was the best insight to how our brains work and how we are each so individual. Educating women about their miraculous bodies and their abilities taught me the power and beauty of nature and the benefit of letting it lead us and direct us. Now, you know the person behind this comment a bit more…THIS WAS AWESOME! Excellent, excellent work Amanda! If I were 18 and could go back and do it again, this video was so helpful and so thought out. I loved the information, but along with the deep and experiential information the back drop of a simple day on the beach with everything you needed including a fabulous companion who you thanked….just amazing my dear! I love who you are and how you are and just want you to know the impact of your simplicity. You are a very rich woman!
Hi Anji I’m here in the mountains too (Vt) . Obviously this comment was directed to Amanda but I just wanted to say Thankyou. Your sharing was really beautiful to read and encouraging. I’m a single Mom and navigating some extremely challenging health issues. Finding this channel tonight and your comment was inspiring, calming and encouraging. ❤️Keep defying the odds Anji! Here’s to indulging our curiosity and learning new passions.

Hi Anji, I am 63 and am disabled. I am a 4 yr. Survivor of cancer. I can't walk like I use to before cancer. I would love to travel and see the beauty. So I enjoy these friends who can do it. I GET TO SEE THRU THEIR EYES. Put Chrust first and let Him be your 🤴 👑 🦁.
It is so nice to be able to spend our days and nights together with our dogs. I am retired, so I know how great it is. My dog is very clingy. She follows me from room to room. Hates when I go to store. I am getting camper shell for truck so we can get out under stars together. Congrats. Beauty video.
Love this type of video where it's basically 50/50... Half of the time you're talking and explaining things and the other half we get to see the beautiful visuals of nature, the ocean, Frank and yourself enjoying it all. For those of us who can't be in that part of the world, the visuals are greatly appreciated! 👍❤️
Goodness Amanda you getting so good with your filming I had to watch it full screen. what a cinematic delight and the expressions on franks face just cracked me up , you put those in just perfect with what you were talking about each time.. Thank you, the last few videos have been outstanding in my view.

Y’all are right on time with this video!!! After 2 years of part time van life, I just this morning went full time. I’m at the laundry mat now waiting in the van to start my full time adventure! You are such a beautiful inspiration. Thank you so much for being You! Big hugs to you and Frank✨

What a beautiful spot. So peaceful. Frank was in stick heaven. So many to choose from. Your moving into a nomad life has enabled you to live on your own terms. I can't imagine a better way to live.
Congratulations on your 3000 days living free of the burden of paying someone else's mortgage. This was a beautiful film. Your photography has an artist's eye, and you got superb shots just by the light of your roaring fire. Your shot of the northern hemisphere night sky was stunning, free from clouds and light pollution. If your circumstances change long in the future, a house with an (insulated) tin/metal roof will keep you in touch with what's going on outside. Nothing more lovely than snuggling down while the rain is coming down heavy. My love to you and Frank for continuing to enjoy your journey together x
Beautiful & inspiring video, tidelinetoalpine 🌲 Once you’ve fed your ears with the enchanting sounds of Mother Earth 🌎 the soundscape becomes as vital as water, shelter, food . . .
You’re so down to earth and real. I can’t stand all these insta-perfect van-vloggers. I’ve never been prissy and those types of videos drive me crazy. I really enjoy you and your videos.
Hey Amanda, my elderly dog was hobbling too,I put her on treats that contained condroiton and glucosamine(that worked so well,I bought the supplements, glucosamine and condroiton), it changed her life, she stopped dragging one of her legs, and stopped hobbling.I don't know if this will help Frank, but it's definitely worth a try. Peace and light 🌷🌷🌷
One of the biggest compromises we make living in the city is sacrificing that natural soundscape, and it makes our days in the backcountry so precious! Plus one of the reasons I enjoy your videos so much is that natural soundscape - it is so relaxing, I can put on headphones and just immerse myself in the sounds you've recorded. I love the sound of rain on our tent - despite what it means for our hiking or exploration - but I haven't got used to the sound of it on our car when we sleep in it. At home we have skylights and we do enjoy listening to the rain on those - it conjures up fond backcountry memories, and that's so valuable to our wellbeing.
Love this video. No background music to take away from the soothing sounds of the water. And you’re right, the van is the least important aspect of the lifestyle. Over 8 years! I’m very impressed!
Congratulations on 3000! You and Frank were at what appears to be the most beautiful place in the world. Thanks for your scenic, artistic, creative videos.

I have been stealth sleeping in my minivan and living at my work and with hobbies for socialization for the past 7 years and saved bunch of money . I would say , there's no perfect lifestyle as such or perfect place . There's always pros and cons for whatever lifestyle we choose. Now, I got addicted to the freedom of spending time at various places ( States ) and also make money through gigs. I am 44 now and I'll be checking such remote places when I turn 56.

Indeed!!! It’s so easy to mindlessly spend money so people focus on trying to make more when it’s actually easy to spend less and therefore need less IF you’re willing to be mindful about each decision.
Watching your videos since you left to start your journey has definitely changed your your mental state. You are full of smiles and peace. It is refreshing to see you so happy & at Peace. First time seeing your channel, am all about living cheap while enjoying life. I learned years ago that the social norms of owning a house or paying rent were a trap that steals our freedom. Maybe someday we will cross paths and share some coffee, while swapping adventure stories, lol. Will start following you regularly and help grow your channel.
Love your Lifestyle so much, ...you and Frank ❤❤❤ .... I've never had that much room in my home on wheels, I need to find a van like yours 👍 You're amazing and I love your Channel ...give sweet Frank a hug from this old lady in Wisconsin 🙂❤✌

This was a delight!👍 congratulations on a round 3000 days, can’t begin to imagine THAT accomplishment. You’ve got some serious stay power. These videos just keep getting better and better and better. Feed and soothe my weary soul ❤️
I just watched this again. What a great perspective on the why of choosing an alternative way to live. Your videos get better and better. How is that even possible. Each one is my favorite 😊😊😊
Oh Amanda, I want to live the van life also! I just am so scared! I am 51 and disabled! But I can get around pretty good, I just get so tired very easily! But I am alone and so want to see the U.S. before it is to late! I love watching you and Frank enjoy your lives! Y’all both look happy and content! I also have depression and I do believe traveling will help that! Vancouver is gorgeous! This beach y’all were on was amazing! How could that not help someone with depression! Anyways, thank you for sharing your life with us! God bless you and Frank!!!! Your friend in North Mississippi! You are ALWAYS welcome here my friend!!!! 🙏🤗😎😆
Thank you Amanda and Frank for posting your van life experiences , sometimes simpler is better and you have demonstrated the pros and cons involved in making van life work. I have yours and Franks stickers on my toolbox at work to remind me there is a more than the 9-5 grind in life. I look forward to your relaxing videos , with all the chaos going on in the world it is a breath of fresh air. Cheers Ken😊

Amazing accomplishment 👏
Your right, that’s a great beach ❤😊
Fantastic share. So much mindfulness goes into each thing you do to live your beautiful life. ☮💜🐾
Indeed!!! It’s so easy to mindlessly spend money so people focus on trying to make more when it’s actually easy to spend less and therefore need less IF you’re willing to be mindful about each decision.
Congrats on 3000 gotta love nature

2 years on the road and I totally love the outback sounds. Totally understand not wanting to spend to much time around noise that isn't nature. Enjoyed your video , safe travels
How do you afford your expenses? I really want to live on the road but I don't know how to fund it
@@yogamom1898 I've picked up odd jobs along the way but have been doing FIFO on the mines now since October 2021. I've been saving so can do another long stint without having to work. I also made jewellery to sell at markets
The most chillest and wisest puppycute exactly at 4:20 🤗
Thanks Amanda for sharing an inspiring and enriching existence on the pacific coast. I drove small parcel courier around Vancouver but the closest i travelled to the majority of vancouver island was delivering 50 lbs of cannabis retail products to Bowen island dispensary lol.
An old friend of mine lives in Ladysmith i've visited for a weekend years ago. if your aware of the arm wrestling gym there drop in and say hello to Lisa and Chris at smash mouth gym. one fantastic entertainer with a guitar my old friend Chris :)
It's wonderful days for those who can taste sea salt. Greetings and salutations to you and Senior Frank
After watching so many videos about vanlife, this is the first time the NUGGET of wisdom "It's not about the van, it's about everything else" was emphasized and mentioned. Congrats on 3000!
Loved "be excellent to each other"
Hi AMANDA, I am new here today. I love watching van lifers and hikers. My hubby is from 🇨🇦 🍁 Canada. We live in the states. We have been married 20 yrs. Now. I also watch story tellers.... big foot and other stuff. Nice to be here. My Christ be your 🤴 👑 🦁 king.
Thank you for taking the time to make this......
I've never had that much room in my home on wheels, I need to find a van like yours 👍
You're amazing and I love your Channel ...give sweet Frank a hug from this old lady in Wisconsin 🙂❤✌
Oh my JOSH. What absolute incredible beauty.
My first time catching your channel & instantly hooked. So much admiration for your lifestyle.
That place is beautiful 😍. Frank looks happy with the giant stick. How cute 🥰
