14 bucks a bundle? Dang 😳 You were smart to take the wood 👍 even if it takes up a lot of space! I love how you are so handy and take care of yourself, Frank, and Truck!
A good deterrent for a wild crab, have some shrimp cocktail sauce handy and when a wild crab challenges you, throw a liberal amount of shrimp sauce at it, that will do’s the trick.
I want it known I do not sincerely care about 'vanlife'. I'm here because I think Amanda and Frank are interesting people and I enjoy their adventures together and the videos they make on this journey across the cosmos.
I would definitely love to hear how you do your navigating to campsites! Been loving your vlog. I do an eight week solo trip in my VW van most years and several years ago a spent a ton of time on Vancouver Island and eventually ended up on Haida Gwaii. Truly lovely. You probably know this already, but Schoen Lake is great. A few small campsites and a great place to launch my inflatable kayak. Best Wishes!
We are grateful for you and Frank too! Glad you caught a little solar and fixed the fuel line. You are living the life many of us can only dream of - thank you for being you! Beautiful images of the crashing waves - the power of the ocean is awesome!
Thank God your encounter with wildlife was with a crab....my imagination was running away with me. I love Frank's face...hes so sweet..Happy Easter to you Both. Stay safe.🐇🐣🐰💗✝️🐾🌲🌊🌤
Each beach is more beautiful than the beach in the video before it! The waves were immense and the trail to the beaches, unbelievable! Thank You for this moment of beauty!!
It's funny how Frank blended right in with that wood when he was laying there. His coat matched it perfectly. What a beautiful spot that is. I hope that glue worked for you. I use it for crafting and it takes 24 hours to dry. Beautiful video.
Hi Amanda just a helpful tip.Keep a good sized flat screwdriver out to use to pry open the lid on the green box. Better than to risk a broken point on your big knife. Have a nice day.Tom at the NB-NS border here in the Maritimes.
Thank you for looking out for my knife. This one already had a broken tip and my screwdriver was temporarily lost, I’ve found it now 🙌🏼. I have many knives in this van, so many that when I cross the border I feel the need to inform them I have many knives 😆
Contact MSR and see if they will give you a replacement water filter. They shouldn't break. Those things are expensive. Lovely forest and beach. I enjoy your videos so much.
Thanks for sharing and all the work that goes into that! It's such a treat to be able to experience the wild beauty vicariously. Sorry you fell -- glad you're okay!
It is so nice and calming to catch up to you and Frank, Amanda. I enjoy your worldview and joy of living. Frank is so chill and knows what he wants and what his limits are. You too. Your firemaking skills are so great and I really appreciate how you know good kindling when you see it, even if you have to get creative about storage. Keep taking care of yourself and Frank and I’ll see you next time. Oh, I almost forgot about the ferocious crab…I imagined a wolverine or some such. Fun segment. I remember in one of your earliest videos you saw a bear and were so chill about the whole thing, casually saying “I’ve seen four or five bears…” and kept on.
Tools are always good to learn about, yes please! I understand you not wanting to give away all your favorite spots, most of my favorites are too well known now. You and Frank are fabulous, I love all that you share with us!
The rainbow over the ocean was spectacular....sucks that you suffered bruises to get it though. Thanks Amanda for all you do....and taking us along. I'm glad it was just a crab that was aggressive.....and not something much larger! Stay wise and have fun. 🌱🌱 Wendy
We are largely a nation established on the Coast line with miles upon miles of beaches and mega dunes of beach sand, including an eighty mile stretch of pure beach sand between the ocean blue and the pindan red landscape, however your coastline is another type of magic altogether, absolutely magnificent. The mind boggles at the amount of drift wood, all that available possible resource. Awesome stuff Amanda, happy Easter and all the best regards from here on the West Coast side of Australia 🌏🐨🖖🙏🤟🌻
🙌🙌🙌 Okkkk now . . . u got me Amanda. That was best clickbait evvvver . . . hope it pays out, hehe. My other comment was pre video release during the set reminder phase, haha. Ohhhh our Frankee . . . I thought we would see him having a cra-cra discussion w/h that hanging boat float in the tree, haha. Sorry to hear about the ouchies . . . esp. if u did not have stuff to help with pain plus ice is critical in first 2 days and no fridge soooo guess that was a hard no. I am SO messed up with the timeline --- I just am glad you stayed so much longer. I think sharing the tools used to find such is a great idea...make 'em work for it baby, haha.
That beach was so rugged and beautiful. What a rainbow, just stunning. Sorry you fell. Frank was adorable finding a ball. Its nice to see how happy you are checking new places out.
Beautiful video Amanda! The photos of Frank are so adorable and your laughter, smiles and joy as you are hiking to that new, unexplored beach is contagious. Happy Easter 🌷💜🌷💜🌷🐾🐾 Blessings and much Aloha
What a beautiful beach; I actually like that kind of beach even more than just open sand… all the trees, rocks, nooks-and-crannies make it really interesting. The crab was adorable!!! Hugs to you and Frank! xx
love you girl ! your an inspiration to most of us out here watchin you 😘🙃so keep up the great work ...love your content...always look forward to your adventures and frank is a bonus ...
I don't blame you just closing the exact locations and how to get to them. It must have taken you a lot of time and effort to find those magical places.
Thank you so much for your amazing videos, the beauty of our island and how you film it makes me emotional. Please continue to have your awesome adventures and take care of yourself and Frank. You are much braver than I am.
👀😮 Uhh the 'initial reaction was as such ... Then I was like "welllll she survived & posted so" ....🙌 Sooo exciting . . . I am SO hoping it was WOLVES & not a cra-cra cougar with the munchies. Can hardly wait ..... hugs to 'our' Frankeee dahling. Be well & *GET GOSH DARN COZY WOULD YA* !!
I could see “bewilderment” on Franks face as he is surrounded by so many beautiful logs and they are all too big for him to chew on. I think Frank is like my “Nick”. He is a reincarnation of someone you loved who passed over early in life. What is the Canadian Govt’s Daily Recommended amount of wood logs for extremely intelligent dogs?? Like Frank. I think Frank forages a sufficient amount of wood. LOL!!
There were many parts of this I really enjoyed. I do my first run at "vanlife" experience soon - without refrigeration. Learning from you some of my options. Loved seeing Frank enjoy the most out of life - beach walking, trail walking. Love the sounds of the places you visit, and seeing you clamber onto the van roof. Even your comment on plastics - sticking around getting smaller and smaller. Thank you!!
Please replace with the smaller diameter (oil pressure gauge type) with rubber hose for couplers. It will start and run better with that correct sized hose.
Avoid using the green fuel line as it is inferior. Only buy diesel heaters that come with the clear fuel lines as they don't degrade and are a harder material. I'm sure you'll get it sorted👍
Wow…. Those waves are cool! Hiiii Frank ❤️. 🤣 I had a little crab do the Finding Nemo pincer up … lol… scared the crap outta me too. I would love to know the tools you use to find the off beaten path places.
Such a beautiful place to spend some quiet time with Frank. We are a cattle dog family and think your boy is amazing. I usually don’t like click-bait but that was the best! 😀
You know what would have been funny? After the crab encounter, we'd be like "Phew!". Because that title "AGGRESSIVE Wildife Encounter!!!" scared us into thinking something terrible happened, but then we realized it was just a little crab. But then, at 20:43 just as we became totally assured you had reached safety, a bear jumped out of the woods and knocked you down. You didn't get hurt or anything, because the bear then ran off into the woods and you got up off the ground and Frank is sitting there, staring at you, wondering what the hell just happened because it happened in a split second but as you stood up and brushed the mud off your knees and elbows you looked at Frank and said, "Thanks, Frank." That would have been funny!!!
Amanda, why not have a back up water treatment system like a sawyer squeeze with CNOC holding bag/ bladder. No many types available now as well as tablets as another mean to treat your collected H2O during your great adventures. Just a suggestion.
I have two sawyers and purifying drops as back up but the Guardian filter is far superior in efficiency and purifying power. Plus it’s $500 and I have a spare unused filter worth half that so fixing it is preferable.
Ok. Right on. I love your life. Keep doing what makes you happy. I am going up Island in a month or so and would love to pick your brain as to best place to park and talk about San Joseph Bay beach.
So glad you are happy and content. You are such a good mama for Frank. And, yes please tell us how you navigate yourself around. I’m an urban nomad and have no clue how to find wonderful places off grid.
It's amazing how good it feels to see the beauty of nature! I love your positive and cheerful perspective and problems sound like a minor challenge. Thank you for sharing! It may not seem like much to some, but it does a heart 💜 good. If you come across some bones maybe cook/boil them up good for a few hours on the fire pit and see if Frank would enjoy some broth? It's great for joints. Gelatin in a broth has the same benefits. 🐾
Fantastic adventure! Thanks for sharing it all. I love learning about the western Canadian coastal areas you explore...so amazing and I'd never imagine the amount of driftwood that piles up on the beaches.
I love how the crab pulled in his pinchers as soon as you asked him why he was so aggressive. So adorable.
I don't know who's happier when Frank finds a stick and chews it him or me. It always makes me smile
Only you could find the most adorable crab in the history of ever AND find the end of a rainbow. Gorgeous video, thank you!
My fave parts of video too! 🌊🦀🌈
Frank should do stick reviews like the wine connoisseurs . " It was a delicious full bodied stick and I rather enjoyed it " 🤣
“And it fully tantalized my taste buds in a most delightful way”
14 bucks a bundle? Dang 😳 You were smart to take the wood 👍 even if it takes up a lot of space! I love how you are so handy and take care of yourself, Frank, and Truck!
Frank caught that wood like an absolute bossanova.
A good deterrent for a wild crab, have some shrimp cocktail sauce handy and when a wild crab challenges you, throw a liberal amount of shrimp sauce at it, that will do’s the trick.
🤣 I’ll add it to my holster
You and that little crab made me laugh Amanda :) I was waiting to see a bear or another "wild animal" :))) so adorable. Thank s for sharing.
Wow, you really know alot about mechanics. It's impressive. Your so smart about all the intricate stuff. Luv to u and Frank....be safe❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
I want it known I do not sincerely care about 'vanlife'.
I'm here because I think Amanda and Frank are interesting people and I enjoy their adventures together and the videos they make on this journey across the cosmos.
Thank you!!! Some videos don’t even include my van so happy times 🙌🏼
That was the cutest aggressor I have ever seen!!!
Your discovery of that beach and the rainbow is the definition of Serendipity!✌️
Mr. Crabby probably doesn't encounter people very often if ever. Hilarious!
I enjoyed the twist 😀 and happy y'all are safe! Frank is so darn cute! You guys are a joy to watch. Cheers
It was a close call 😅
Absolutely loved that beach Amanda. The 1st glimpse you showed thru the trees took my breath away. Stunning to me💞
I would definitely love to hear how you do your navigating to campsites! Been loving your vlog. I do an eight week solo trip in my VW van most years and several years ago a

“Papers, papers, papers … slingshot …” lol!
Grampa’s know best! One Grampa gave me the slingshot and the other gave me bolt cutters 😂 and the pellet gun came from my uncle #supportivefamily
We are grateful for you and Frank too! Glad you caught a little solar and fixed the fuel line. You are living the life many of us can only dream of - thank you for being you! Beautiful images of the crashing waves - the power of the ocean is awesome!
"You scared the crab out of me"...Hahahaaahaaa.
Vancouver area British Columbia tourist board should hire you to do commercials. You're a natural

Each beach is more beautiful than the beach in the video before it! The waves were immense and the trail to the beaches, unbelievable! Thank You for this moment of beauty!!
I love your content and scenery. Thank you
I would love some info about finding amazing places like that beach! I mostly use google earth but it takes hours with limited success.
Beautiful scenery. You and Frank are quite a team.
It's funny how Frank blended right in with that wood when he was laying there. His coat matched it perfectly. What a beautiful spot that is. I hope that glue worked for you. I use it for crafting and it takes 24 hours to dry. Beautiful video.
Always appreciate the simple calm that you share. Thank you.
Mr Frank's coat matches the beached logs💞💖 A lovely Sunday video to watch to wind down, TFS Amanda.
Amanda thank you for another great video. The double rainbow 🌈 was beautiful. And the crab 🦀 was so cute. Cutie Frank😍
Much love from Phoenix
🌵🐎🦎
This video with all the beautiful shots of the waves was intense. I love going along with you and Frank.

I would love to know the apps/tools to navigate to these gorgeous locations! Thanks for always making my heart smile when I watch your videos!
I stumbled across your channel by accident Amanda...and I'm soooo happy I did!!
Good morning Amanda and Frank hope yu both are having great Easter 🐣 🐰 awesome video
Another great video Amanda!
Contact MSR and see if they will give you a replacement water filter. They shouldn't break. Those things are expensive. Lovely forest and beach. I enjoy your videos so much.
Sponsorship would be even better as a tester and quality control expert!!!! Recycled materials are the answer!!!
Thanks for sharing and all the work that goes into that! It's such a treat to be able to experience the wild beauty vicariously. Sorry you fell -- glad you're okay!

The rainbow over the ocean was spectacular....sucks that you suffered bruises to get it though. Thanks Amanda for all you do....and taking us along. I'm glad it was just a crab that was aggressive.....and not something much larger! Stay wise and have fun. 🌱🌱

I love how you enjoy solitude.
Tygon fuel line is the longest lasting fuel line I've ever found. Very flexible and resistant to petroleum degradation.
Yes please share your navigation tools. That beach looked like Frank Heaven with all the logs. LOL
When I saw your camp on the beach video, my first thought was; "Aren't you afraid of a bear visit?"
Yes please enlighten us on the software you use and a small tutorial on how it works . Thank you this was a great video.
Amazing as ever Amanda ! Happy you are feeling better.... carry on :-)

Those waves were amazing!!
You had me on tenterhooks all the way through! Waiting for a bear or something... but that mean ole crab was aggressive! What a beautiful beach!
Thanks for sharing your explorations! I would very much like a video discussing how you find places to go.
I do believe your thrill level of being outdoors is taking you to next limit . Can't wait for your live. ♥️

Yes would love to know how you find these places. Please
