Ryobi 40v Chainsaw Not Oiling?

Does your Ryobi 40v Electric Chainsaw not put out oil to your chain or bar? I will show you a couple of things to check out and how to fix this issue.

Thanks for the video, I was able to fix my bar/chain oiler! It wasn't the worm gear, in my case, though I will buy one to have on hand. Rather, the hose from the oil pump to the port by the bar was not connected. Pretty puzzling, since I've never disassembled the saw before, and the hose was very secure once I put it on, no idea how it could come off in a mostly sealed compartment...

Thanks for sharing. Took my Ryobi RY40508 part yesterday due to not oiling and found the nylon nut had the same issue on the threads. Admittedly I was doing cross cuts on a RedOak law back in January 🤷🏼‍♂️
Do you recommend a certain type of chain oil? I’ve seen where people say Ryobi Battery saws need a thinner oil.

mine CONTINOUSLY drips oil from reservoir. when you set it down when down oil will leak all over untie the tank is dry.
