Went and looked at HD's this weekend and GM/Chevy better step up their seat game. They are by far the worst of all the big 3. They need to bring back the bigger and more comfortable seats, not all of us are 5-8 150
I second that request!! Also, do it with the 2500 with max trailering package & maxed out with options. Would be good to see the payload & towing numbers on a heavily optioned rig.
Nice video and nice truck that is missing a couple important things lol. 20s is a must have option for me but a lot of people don’t like them and those 18s will give you a little shorter overall gearing since they are about 1” shorter compared to the 20s. But my must have options for any HD Chevy are: 1) cab lights at $55 2) HD Front Springs/Camper Package at $45 3) Z71 off-road and protection package at price varies by trim but it gives Z71, bed liner, the good Z71 floor mats and rear wheelhouse liners. After those three options it would depend on the trim level. But for LT I would definitely get the All Star Package. It gives you a lot including parking sensors and 360 cameras.
I just do not like the clearance lights. They don’t look bad but not my style. I own a 2024 and I ordered without, and glad I did. Just my preference and other who like them I still think your truck is bad ass. No hate here just not a fan
I have a ‘21 LTZ 1500. I was disappointed with the dim interior lighting and ended up adding a couple of LED spots to my overhead console. Just wondering if has Chevy addressed this shortcoming on newer trucks. Also, I was disappointed that I had to turn on the bed lights from the cab instead of using a switch in the bed, so I modified this as well. Hopefully Chevy woke up on this simple topic. Why would they force customers to go all the way to the cab to turn the bed lights on and off?
LTZ or SLT is the best value pkg for GM.....you can get most of the comfort/tech features while being priced a lot better than top trims....you can also get stripped version as well still get 4WD auto, pwr seats, digital steering, Full power mirrors, and LED lights and full use of DIC cluster....find it better for resale than loading up a lower trim and you're already spending 70k whats a few more yeah the seats are small and firm but its an easy fix
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
The black out emblems seem to have become quite the gimmick, the irony is that they are replacing emblems that are just a different color so it costs GM the same and yet this way they can jack up the price and I see dealer orders bringing them in that way to tack on more even with lower trim trucks.
@@philblock I agree, its a real piss off that the LT and above trim refresh interior have eliminated the 12v socket, if it was really obsolete then the work truck that has them wouldn't either, nor would Ford and Ram still have it. There are a lot of accessories people own and still can buy that require that 12v power supply.
Hopefully , these obscenely high priced trucks will come down $20,000 plus when Cat and all the other companies come out with their much cheaper trucks.
Waxed frames in this day & age of advanced materials & technological advances!!🤦🏽♂️ I'd gladly pay $300-400 as an option for a galvanised & powdercoated frame!! Come GM, be better!!!

$20k in options aint it. Bought a 2025 Custom with the convenience package and tow package for under $54k. Love the l8t and allison.
Loved the video, loads of Information!
Love the LTZ with the trail boss package in the lakeshore blue wondering if you could do a video on it

Ltz is the cheat code for price and features

My truck is a white 2023 Chevy 2500 LT. Kinda bo-bo compared to that LTZ, but not complaining 😎

High idle can be added after sale. It's just a software update.

How do you fix the seats?
@@campsite21 replace them
What about a 8ft bed.

Does the Chevy have a 12v power outlet?
No those are obsolete just like cd players and cassette tapes
@JoshuaOverman no they aren't. I plug in an inverter and my trailer camera screen.

Clearance lights are not a good idea. If you keep your truck long term, they will eventually leak water into the cab and cause a lot of problems.
Actually, g m says six foot eleven on that bed
its 82"....ive measured mine
Those wheels are ugly.. love the truck overall....
Those wheels are pretty much the base ltz. Wheels, you have other options. Some of them aren't that expensive of an upgrade and look a lot better.
The 20” wheels that come on the 2500 custom. Look the best. Even on the LT and LTZ
