Great tone!!! Nice song too !
Amazing recto tones in here
I need a Bogner collection!!!!
And there it is again...... the lead break from "I'll be Over You"
Love it Michael.
Damn, I might buy a TONEX now! GREAT demo, Bro!
You will not regret it, no fancy effects beside hall, noise-gate and compressor so latency is looooow!
i liked the preset names. sounded great, too.
The bass sound of the demo is gorgeous
THANKS! It's a Dingwall NG-2 bass, which is a life changer as far as bass tone go for me. ToneX Ampeg SVT-CL capture called "The Fridge" is the bass amp, and some 1176 compression and some SSL EQ.
I was gonna say the same, then I saw your comment. Is the Dingwall NG-2 a VST?
Dude, these sound fantastic in your video!!! I just heard these in a different video and they didn’t sound great. 🤘
Thanks!
Wow!!!! Thank you SO much!!!!!
Cool 😎👍
Hi thanks a lot for the great demo. There has been some discussion lately regarding gain input. In the tonex software do you have the input levet on 0 db? Cheers
Hello Mr. Michael, you continue to be at the top. What impresses us all is the mix master you are doing everywhere, except from your incredible playing. I think we would all like you to make a short video with some simple tips and tricks on how we can do a "simple" mix master ourselves, either on our own tracks or simply on some backing tracks. Especially the guitars and what plugins you are using in 2024.
Thank you for everything and sorry for my bad English.
Hi Stratos. Thank you for listening, and thank you for the kind and thoughtful words! That's a great idea, I'll will try to make some videos like this.
@@BigHairyGuitars I have written to you twice in your videos and you have responded both times. What can I say about you? I thank you immensely and happily continue to follow your videos (and occasionally comment with an idea or two haha)
That first preset was killer! I too am a fan of the Rectifier unboosted. I feel like all start to sound the same when you hit em with a tubescreamer/808
I'm checking out the free trial on this pack... wow - these sound and feel great! These are the kind of Boogie tones I've been trying to find on Tonex not to mention dial into modelers. Actually thought the old blue Vox ToneLab og did a better Dual Rec than a lot of modern offerings haha.
A free trial ???hmmm now I'm interested
Free trial? I don't see any on IK's website?! 🤔 And I can't find it in ToneX itself...can you help me out?
After a awhile it does the white noise thing, but you can still get a taste.
Very nice, thank you
Just like I used to run my Dual Rectifier..not maxed out to mushville with gain..if you have good picking technique like Michael you don’t need to!
Have you done a video on that guitar? It’s a beauty. What pickups are in that thing?
I'll be doing a video on my Shabat's soon. Lollar Imperial High Wind.
@@BigHairyGuitars Thank you, sir.
Have you tried Tone-X with something like a Laney LFR or a Fender FR12? Just wondering how close that kind of match-up might get to playing one of those “real” amps? I’m not really a recording guy. I just think it would be fun to play through a really great amp that I probably will never pay a bunch of money to own.
Why not plug into a power amp and a real guitar cab? It’s absolutely awesome.
Real amp or real cab ?
Nice. But there's no possibility to trial the Mesa collection, right?
They *might* have 1 demo patch. But they don't have a trail period for the whole collection.
Can somebody build the ToneX Pedal in to a one unit rackspace? Put the display in front and the knobs. It should work. Wouldn't that be great?
It's perfect for that, because many of us rack lovers have all the fx (and the power amp) sitting in a rack.
Dig it !!! ToneX is a great tool and you are getting incredible tones out of it !!!!
04:30 sick
@Michael Nielsen will you have this for us Kemper folks? Hmmm?
I believe that he, like many others, has set aside our dear toaster.
😒@@gonrazortapes
I own an original 2 Channel Triple Rectifier.
The recto models sound good, but they really missed the mark on the Mark IIC+ model (pun intended).
They did mention to me that all of these examples are original original Mesa builds. AND that they have a little less modern bite and cut than the more modern versions. Maybe they'll do a v2 with different versions of the Mark IIC+. It's definitely the more singing soulful MKII rather than the Metallica MKII
That intro is not quite what i think of when i hear Dual Rectifier...
I think 95 - 99
The pop punk kids were all into Recto’s in the 90’s…but yeah, my personal tastes associate it with metal.
Yep, a Dual Rectifier and a PRS was "the rig" in the mid nineties.
Incubus, Foo Fighters, Pennywise, New Found Glory, many hardcore bands...
@@djabthrash 🤣
it is expensive.... I will wait for the UAD Boogie pedal. It will be around USD 400,-- but you will have extensive possibilities. I hope.....
It's $39 right now. In case you didn't see the launch sale.
Dude...DOGMAN!!!!
LORD! HOW DID I FORGET THAT! 🙀. DOH!
@@BigHairyGuitars I know, Michael…shocked and horrified. Rookie mistake…rectify, pun intended, immediately🤪🤘🎶
King's x album ?
All sound pretty muffled/lacking highs for my tastes.
I only saw 99 euro….
I'm with you. At 99, I'd wait for a sale.
