Hi, my name is Michael Nielsen. I'm a composer/producer. I write music for movie trailers, video game soundtracks, commercials, movies and tv shows. Nailed not just the sounds but the playing too. The Pantera and Megadeth- Holy wars sections sounded especially great.
Does the cab section for each use fluid IR's?
Hi, Thanks so much. No, I wasn't utilizing the fluid IR's. I try to make the presets so they're usable with the TH-U Essentials pack, so the price of entry is really low and easy for people to get the sounds.
@@BigHairyGuitars Hi Guys, thanks for answering this. Okay so it's not Fluid IR's, but did you use Overlouds new Fluid Capturing technology? "Also called "schematic-assisted capturing" Overloud themselves said: "Made In Rock packs are the first TH-U editions created with the Fluid Capturing technology, for an unprecedented realism of the models. All the new models that will be added to the TH-U ecosystem from now on will be created with Fluid Capturing.". Thanks!
@@frozenmist8873 I don't know for sure, but it's my impression that the "fluid" is "fluid". Same thing. It would work great if I was profilng a classic amp such as a JCM800, and I'm trying to represent a JCM800. But, since I'm trying to represent a recorded tone, sometimes my JCM800 was also getting a touch of API and Neve EQ tone shaping. So that isn't accounted for in the fluid tone stack. It sort of breaks the whole thing. For my stuff, I prefer using the parametric EQ rather than being locked into a particular tone stack.

FYI... the product link in the description goes to BHS Iconic 1, not 4. Sounds great man. I'd get it just for that Skolnick tone alone on Practice... That's his best tone and leads imo. I think he recorded some of the leads live with the band, which is impressive.
Other ones are awesome so will definitely be getting this one as well 🎸🎸
Man, that Somewhere in Time tone sounds so anemic and wimpy on it's own but in the mix it was killer!
Ha, I notice that all the time. Like when you listen to Vinnie Paul's drums isolated or Dimes isolated tracks. The tones are not really impressive to me. The whole mix, however, sounds great. Lol
