We don't really know his motivation. It's either stop orange Hitler, or just go out with the biggest bang ever. I think it's likely to be the latter. I say this due to his interest in history and in particular assassinations. It seems he want to create a momentous historical event and secure his place in the history books. Trump coming to his backyard was just his opportunity. It could have been Biden if he'd been there that day. This is just my assessment, but I think they will eventually say his motivations were 'non political'. Not that they wouldn't have political impact, which they already have had.

Why did they make that call? What did their son do that was so unusual to make them worried.. but not worried enough to know the details and give the cops the specific target? Where is the 911 call the parents made? I think one or both parents may have been in on it and the phone call and "documented" sale of the rifle is all cover.

Sadly because his responses were so oddly incomplete, I feel far far than certain a single thing he says is the truth. His answers to things that would be in the first day's research is like he either skimmed the report due to gross negligence or is actively trying to hide things.

I feel like our nation is in shambles when, this far after the incident, the FBI director still "has" so many unknowns of basic info related to the case. The way I prepare for a minimum wage job interview seems to be more in depth/detailed than anyone that comes before congress. While an ongoing investigation provides some leeway.. the questions that yield no answers makes me wonder just how lackadaisical and/or incompetent our 'premier' investigators and leaders actually are. It's either bold face lies, or utter ineptitude.
