@@divya4238 I've just read about that, didn't know earlier... But it wasn't him who pushed the man, there were three of them and they were all homeless and drunk and who knows what else... No one could tell for sure what really happened. And that kind of life he was leading later on in life was all just a consequence of severe trauma from that night... I'm not defending him, just saying, there is a lot to look into. I don't think he is a murderer type.
Imagine escaping from someone who attempted to murder you, then later finding out that said individual had killed, dismembered, and even ate many men, then having to be in his presence again knowing what he planned to do to you. This man is brave beyond words, and a true hero. Whether he planned to be a hero or not, the amount of life’s he saved is staggering. It’s sad to see the path he’s went down later in life, I can only hope he’s doing well now.
@AndtherewasJoy13 What I do know is; after appearing in court he became an alcoholic and drug addict, he was later convicted of sexual assault and after his release from prison he became homeless, in 2011 he thrown a man to his death off a Milwaukee bridge and spent a year-and-a-half in prison, and he currently remains homeless in Milwaukee still suffering with alcoholism and drug addiction. His attorney said that he was never able to piece his life back together after Dahmer. It’s sad, but unfortunately Dahmer did succeed at taking his life, even if he didn’t realise that at the time.
@@Revolt-Theory I'm very sad to hear this. Tracy Edwards looked loveless, indifferent, pathetic evil in the eyes, JD, and showed "it" it didn't have any power in God's children. If only all of us would do this. In a better world 🌍, Tracy Edwards would have been treated for his alcohol and drugs addiction no matter how long it took. God is good! Always will be. I pray Tracy Edwards is freed from the clutches of useless alcohol & drug addiction, in Jesus name......
@@Revolt-Theory you have to feel for the guy, but for me, there is no excuse to go down that path after surviving a serial killer. He mentioned praying during the ordeal, so his faith alone should have guided him down better path to be a blessing to others
Tracys demeanor shows an intelligent man who exhibits telling signs of PTSD. The fact that he turned to drugs, became homeless, turned to crime whereas he was not like this before he had to fight Dahmer off. The attorneys & Netflix could do something to help this man. He's a hero who saved many people from future horrors.
This same Tracey Edwards went to jail later in life for aiding a man in throwing another man off a bridge to his death. Must not have been too grateful for his life being spared.
They also made Tracey go back up to the apartment to ask Dahmer to take the cuffs off. He actually went back up there because he always obeyed the law he said. He got to the door and Jeff told him to come in but he got so scared he ran back downstairs! It was only bc of him that JD was caught! The police were horrible!
I know. I noticed when the lawyer said "so you got to the apartment " he physically almost gasped at the memory. Not that this was his worst memory but its unlocked the worst ones. I was a victim of child r@pe for many years and I remember this gasping feeling at some memories. Your breath literally leaves you. @@WazeirmoNot all of the victims were gay and that is why Dahmer had to drug them. Mr Edwards was not gay for example. Jeffrey Dahmer is not the only serial killer who has drugged and then sexually assaulted straight men.
This guy’s testimony is by far the most important. He SURVIVED Dahmer, led to his arrest, and most importantly, he spent 15 to 30 minutes with Dahmer (now I’m being told more like four hours) while he was at his most dangerous apparently showing behavioral traits that virtually nobody (who was alive) might’ve seen before or after.
i feel like dahmer was lying about not threatening or wanting to hurt people. It cant be a coincidence that the survivors reported him being violent but everything else was pills and strangling
Google his name and you will find out about him...............I've just read about Tracy and it's really very sad how he ended up. You can see he was a well educated, properly spoken young man who was raised well etc. This has entirely traumatised his life. I'm going to see if I can track him down and offer him some financial support to help him get his life back on track.
I'm crying. This man deserves all of life's blessings. The courage to sit there in the presence of the man who said he would kill you and eat your heart.. Unimaginable..

Actually the movie is incorrect the only reason the police went back to the apartment was because they didn't have a key for the hand cuffs that serial killer put on him. Lucky still I get why he didn't want to go back because back then police were horrible to gay people and being gay and black at that time must of been tough. Not only is he brave, but also extremely intelligent. He knew how to deal with Dahmer, he knew he had to "play friends" with him so as to survive. His panic, fear and lack of control would only entice Dahmer. This guy is a hero.
Its called Fawning, and how many survivors make it. Its a factor in our fight, flight, freeze reponse to survive. Fawning is befriending and complying with the abuser or predator to placate them. Its also how many survive long term domestic abuse. Its not the same as Stockholm Syndrome, where people are so charmed by the perpetrator they actually like the person and help them out, but the perpetrator is in control and faking people out. I have fawned to survive as well. It makes you feel sick about yourself ot really messes with your head, but it does work. And oddly comes natural in a way like instincts kick in thats the best thing to do. Does not work for all of course, sadly.
The tiny white man had a tiny knife and it took this dude hours and a free pass before walking out the door. Brave is for the 16 year old and her mother in the Kahlil Floyd and Jessica Quick case. or soldiers and police running into gunfire. I can praise this guys survival instinct for sure. But heroes don't go to a random persons apartment to drink and do drugs on the offer of posing nude for $100.
Also, the guy who granny Dahmer sat with until the morning because she suspected something was wrong. Jeff had drugged the guy and the granny wouldn't leave
It wasn’t accurate! According to this man, he met Dahmer out in public, not at a gay club. This man stated he wasn’t a homosexual. Not that it mattered if he was, but according to the movies portrayal, it wasn’t accurate. He isn’t lucky at all! Though he saved his own life, he still had to live with the trauma of nearly being murdered!

I met the serial killer Dennis Nilsen when he lived in Willesden Green, London.....he seemed like a weird person... I then found a pair fresh of lungs windpipe and trachia in a plastic bag on the pavement at night a short walk from his house, plus bags of decomposed organs....I was a student at University College London with experience in pathology.... I reported the matter to the Metropolitan Police London and said the remains "must be examined by an expert" (a forensic pathologist). Two policemen arrived at night, I said I knew what I was talking about, and my mother also confirmed this to the police. The two policemen took my name and address, said we should leave...so we left them with the bags. It later turned out....after a Scotland Yard inquiry (UK Police HQ) ....that the two policemen took the bags and dumped them without asking for any analysis. @@ccopty Tragically, that is what attorneys do - a sad commentary on human nature. It is their job to twist words or phrases to their own advantage with no apparent regard to the witness even when the witness is the victim. It is why children are rarely used as witnesses when the child is the victim. I testified in a hearing where I heard the four previous witnesses have their words twisted by the opposing attorney to sound the opposite of what they meant. When I testified, I was very careful to word my answers so there was no way the opposing attorney to twist what I said; she was not happy about it! Poor baby. (The person for whom I was testifying won with the judge saying my testimony determined his ruling.) In this case, the victim did an excellent job of answering in a way that his words could not be twisted to suggest a different meaning. That is not always an easy task. @@veronikahk1826Let's be honest.... You know the name Jeff Dahmer... Tell me the names of any of his victims... They Don't cover the victims, they cover the killer. But I agree with the original comment.
Yes… I talked about it with my sister today because of the murder in my country that happened a few days ago. When you hear that sth horrible happened, this information isn’t so moving at that time, it doesn’t hit you like pretty much at all, but when you actually see the same accident (for example because someone recorded it) or you hear what happened from a victim’s mouth it just becomes real for some reason and really touches your heart. And I cought myself at it several times…

alot of people would have been "frozen" in fear, unable to move/run, that Netflix (limited series) movie of him right now, is really telling, and the best one I have seen of him in 32 years. I’m not a very emotional man, but this man had me teary eyed. What a brave man the PTSD is all over his face he saved countless lives I hope he bounced back from the drugs and homelessness. I’d definitely support him in anyway I can.
I wish he would have bounced back. Unfortunately his life spiraled out of control after this. As of 2012 he was a homeless drug addict who was conficted to prison for his part in the murder of another homeless man. There are claims that he also molested a 14 year old girl but I'm not sure if that is true.......
To think this man never received any therapy for what he went through is heartbreaking. He saved so many lives and yet he was burdened with this pain. It was only inevitable that he turned out the way he did
@@lionessprincessbear2174 he became a tadbit demented, he was charged for killing a man by pushing him off the bridge. It was a case of self-defense but he still went to jail for other charges. This guy had absolute spot-on intuition about how to treat such a disturbed individual in that situation, giving no signs of aggression, being friendly and comforting and being a supportive presence while he was going through his incredibly disturbed episodes saved his life. I feel incredibly bad for him having to go through that experience and really hope he has found peace since that terrible ordeal.
Sadly, he hasn’t been doing well from what I’ve seen. I’m sure it’s all a result from the PTSD he got from this terrifying ordeal. Netflix really should support him.
This is actually nuts. How can one have a normal life after this? The stress and phobia he must have experienced after such a horrible event must be unbearable. How is one supposed to sleep after this? Heartbreaking. Dahmer was killed rightfully. The guy who killed the monster I salute.

But no person shall be put to death on the testimony of one witness. Moreover, you shall accept no ransom for the life of a murderer, who is guilty of death, but he shall be put to death. If you are a muslim: If you killed a believer deliberately, then there are three rights which are connected to that: the rights of Allaah, the rights of the victim and the rights of the victim’s next of kin. With regard to the rights of the victim’s next of kin, which is the third right, you cannot be absolved of this until you hand yourself over to them. Therefore you have to hand yourself over to the victim’s next of kin, and tell them that you are the one who killed him, then they have the choice. If they want to they can exact vengeance upon you, if the conditions of qasaas are met; or if they want to they may take the diyah (blood money) from you; or if they want to they can forgive you. Dahmer was murdering an average of one person a week at this point. Edwards prevented this monster from claiming more lives.
Then ironically, Tracy Edwards went and murdered someone years later. Crazy.
He was later arrested for pushing a man off the bridge who died
@@divya4238 I've just read about that, didn't know earlier... But it wasn't him who pushed the man, there were three of them and they were all homeless and drunk and who knows what else... No one could tell for sure what really happened. And that kind of life he was leading later on in life was all just a consequence of severe trauma from that night... I'm not defending him, just saying, there is a lot to look into. I don't think he is a murderer type.
Yes he said God help me
Imagine escaping from someone who attempted to murder you, then later finding out that said individual had killed, dismembered, and even ate many men, then having to be in his presence again knowing what he planned to do to you. This man is brave beyond words, and a true hero. Whether he planned to be a hero or not, the amount of life’s he saved is staggering. It’s sad to see the path he’s went down later in life, I can only hope he’s doing well now.
I couldn't do it man. I'd be having a panic attack up there.
What ever happened to Tracy Edwards?

Poor baby. (The person for whom I was testifying won with the judge saying my testimony determined his ruling.)
In this case, the victim did an excellent job of answering in a way that his words could not be twisted to suggest a different meaning. That is not always an easy task. It was clear he was thinking to carefully word his answers to say what he meant and in a way they could not be challenged.

@@madiroberson7964This show is good, also on A&E crime I believe, just watched it.
I truly feel for him. I get overwhelmed and annoyed when I'm asked a lot of questions so I couldn't imagine having to testify after surviving such a horrific event.
Me too
That’s difference between men and women. Men push through and deal with it,, women shut down. The strongest will survive

alot of people would have been "frozen" in fear, unable to move/run, that Netflix (limited series) movie of him right now, is really telling, and the best one I have seen of him in 32 years. I watch one a couple of years back at the theaters, and it was horrible, not worth the price, should have been on Lifetime channel.
Super sick and devilish. Some folks should not be walking this earth
I was kidnapped & SA by someone who said things like that to me. And I was pregnant through that whole ordeal. I'm lucky to be alive. I escaped after 6 days of torture. People like Dahmer are extremely evil. U can see the devil in their soulless eyes when they are in that state. I was frozen in fear but still forced to communicate and try to understand my attacker. So exhausting is an understatement. This was 9 yrs ago for me this Thanksgiving weekend and my son survived and was born that summer

What a man. It was so difficult to speak about it. But he did. And his voice is so smoooth and honest.
He was arrested for sexual misconduct with a 14 year old before this. No sympathy from me

To think this man never received any therapy for what he went through is heartbreaking. He saved so many lives and yet he was burdened with this pain. It was only inevitable that he turned out the way he did
How did he ‘turn out’?????
@@lionessprincessbear2174 he became a tadbit demented, he was charged for killing a man by pushing him off the bridge. It was a case of self-defense but he still went to jail for other charges. He got help and was diagnosed with C-PTSD and extreme levels of paranoia and anxiety. Which I totally understand because of what he went through.
@@lionessprincessbear2174 In & Out of jail. Alcohol & Drug abuse. Ended up killing someone at some bridge. I think he disappeared too. He looked a mess.
He also figured in a case against a 14 yr old btw, molestation or assault, i dunno tho if hes locked up or became homeless yet again
That is heartbreaking

You can tell he feels empathetic for Tracey and proud of him that he was able to get away.

@@moonsical3278 Yep. I read that he's pretty much been homeless ever since.

This is actually nuts. How can one have a normal life after this? The stress and phobia he must have experienced after such a horrible event must be unbearable. How is one supposed to sleep after this? Heartbreaking. Dahmer was killed rightfully. The guy who killed the monster I salute.

No one deserves to die and as much evil people can and have inflicted such as Dahmer it's no one's call to judge whether they deserve anything but God.
@@Living_Soul54 what Religion are you seen as you are talking about God.
Because if you are Christian:
in Exodus 21:20 it says "He shall be avenged" (inferring that murders should be put to death)
in Leviticus 24:17 - “Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death.
in Exodus 21:12 - “Whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death
in Numbers 35:30 - 31 - “If anyone kills a person, the murderer shall be put to death on the evidence of witnesses. But no person shall be put to death on the testimony of one witness. Moreover, you shall accept no ransom for the life of a murderer, who is guilty of death, but he shall be put to death.
If you are a muslim:
If you killed a believer deliberately, then there are three rights which are connected to that: the rights of Allaah, the rights of the victim and the rights of the victim’s next of kin.
So in Islam, Christianity and Judaism the death penalty is enforceable for murder...so which God are you referring to and I guess you are not a religious follower or you would not make such a statement.
Ps the books of the Jewish Torah are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.
This is the hero that finally took down sick and twisted Jeffrey Dahmer. *RESPECT!*
“After becoming the hero who helped put Dahmer behind bars, Edwards had a few run-ins with the police for drug possession, theft, property damage, failure to pay child support, and bail jumping. In 2012, Edwards was sentenced to one and a half years in prison and two years of extended supervision after pleading guilty to aiding a felon”
“Edwards was arrested for homicide in July 2011 after he was seen standing on a Milwaukee bridge with two other homeless men, Timothy Carr and Jonny Jordan. “A witness at a gas station across the street saw Edwards and Carr push Jordan some 20 feet into the river below and called the cops,” the outlet reported. “By the time cops arrived, Jordan had drowned.”
