Thank you! I bought my Bernina 720 a few months ago and have been piecing and free motion quilting a quilt. Now I have to do the label and could not find the rotate button. Thank you! I will be back, for sure! This was very helpful!
THANK YOU!!! I’ve felt so overwhelmed about even trying anything with my embroidery module on my 790. I really appreciate the step by step instructions and now I feel less afraid to try!
Thank you for this video. I needed to make a label for a Quilt of Valor I made for my cousin. I've had my machine for a year and haven't used it much...fear of failure? I watched this video and VOILA!!! Success!!!!
Thank you so much for showing me how it's done. I was stuck by fear and lack of understanding. I have an older Bernina but your instructions were still spot on!!!
Great demo Beth. I have a 770QE but don’t have the embroidery module. That has always scared me 😳. You’ve made creating with embroidery look so simple that I may just have to invest in the module. I too L.O.V.E my Bernina.
Can you give us a video on labels from the very beginning? Connecting the module forward and showing what you press on the screen. Love this video! I am going to try to make one today!
Getting ready to dive into making a label after staring at my 770 qe embroidery module for over a year. Can you detail the stabilizer you are using in this video? That's still very confusing.
I think I used a cut away but you have to remember that the quilt will be washed probably at some point so you could use a water soluble or even a tear away but don’t press the label with steam if you do.. it will shrink and wrinkle…❤️
Thank you! Great video. Does the second stabilizer help the bobbin thread from coming up? I’m having trouble with mine bobbin thread showing when the top thread is a different color.
I am about to make a label for a bag I have made for my friend for Christmas, and I would like to know what's the best needle and thread I should use. I have a Bernina 790plus . Many thanks Lorna.
If your label is going to be small use a small needle…. I almost always use polyester 40 wt embroidery thread…. And a 60 to 100 wt poly thread in the bobbin… if your label is really small, and you have software, designs by juju has really small fonts… download in bx format…❤️
I just bought a BERNINA 770 QE plus yesterday. I did not get the embroidery module, but seeing this video, I am thinking of getting one. Which foot do you use when embroidering?
I have an 880 plus still . I havent' traded it in for 770 as everyone is doing. Can I do this on my 880?? I have to make a quilt label for a quilt for my daughter. Thank you!
I love how you pieced your quilt. I am new at this and would like to make myself a lap quilt as I have neuropathy in my legs and they are always cold….would you by any chance have the pattern you followed? And would you be willing to share it with a “newbie”. Thank you for a great explanation on making a “signature” for your quilt. I probably will not be making anything as professional and beautiful as you have done but we all have to start somewhere don’t we?
Hi Mickey…. Here is the video number 1 , and you can find video2 on my channel… the pattern is in the description box…❤️ ua-cam.com/video/J103-U3b5tk/v-deo.html
The stitch needs the thickness to form and tension to work properly… it can be two layers of the same stabilizer, one thick one thin, just so the thread has something to get a good hold on…❤️
Thanks for the video. I’ve been having issues going from 1 layer to the next when ready to stitch. I would have liked to see how you went from layer 1 to layer 2, etc when ready to stitch. All in all though, very helpful.
@@FiddlestixAndStitches I don’t think I articulated my concern correctly, sorry. After all the designs are loaded, you have stitched the 1st line (Winter’s) did the 2nd line (Grandeur) stitch, and line up on it’s own, or did you have to press another button for line 2 to stitch? Thanks.
Hello micki … to turn off the thread cutter you must un-highlight the scissor button on your screen… to completely turn it off you do that plus in settings you must turn it off…❤️
Hi Beth, Thank you for this video. I received my Bernina 770 QE Plus earlier this month. I've been watching all kinds of videos on how to use it. Yes, I have my Mastery Classes starting July 6th. I made my first project using the 770 and looking to make a label for it. I followed your steps and once the embroidery started I noticed that my multicolor top thread wasn't showing as much it seemed like the white bobbin thread was being pulled up. Is this a tension issue? Or do I need different weight thread for the bobbin? Both top and bobbin threads are 40WT. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. PS... I like you spend more time making handbags.
Sure..... I keep them in a small glass jar with the lid on until full and then turn them in at my local veterinary office and they dispose of them properly....
I use old film canisters but will run out one day LOl do you have a method for identifying needles you have taken out of machine? The colours on the needles is excellent for type but not size?
Beth, I see you have your small table attached to your machine at the same time your embroidery module is attached. Is this necessary? I can't get my module on when I have my small table attached. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you!
With a purchased digitized design, 10 to 20% is about all you can do…. But designs within the machine.. especially fonts you can go a lot further… just remember, the smaller you go the finer the thread you need to use…❤️

I appreciate all the little frustrations that we all have, and your calm manner of dealing with them. Thank you for this very informative post.
Excellent job of showing us how to make a quilt label on our 770’s ! The way you went step by step explaining it was just what I needed! Thank you!

Thank you again Beth! Just want you to know that you have made a difference in my sewing life♥️
What a beautiful thing to hear…. You make me feel so good!❤️
You are an excellent instructor, thank you for making my day a better one.
I 💖your videos so much. I’m learning so much with you. Thanks so much for your experience and thanks for sharing 🌷you are amazing. Hugs from Berlin🌷🌷🌷
Much appreciated - very helpful - as a new owner of a 770 qe embroidery unit.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. The step by step was exactly what I needed. I’ve already made 2 labels.
Thank you for this very nice inspiration. :-)
A very good video Beth. My first time making a quilt label and your instructions were awesome!
Just beautiful
Thank you, Beth! I'm still not comfortable using my embroidery module. This really helps!
Fabulous video, thank you so very much!!! Excellent step-by-step that helped tremendously. I would love to learn more about stabilizers too!
Amazing, I love it! You are so smart!
Your label is beautiful. Thank you.

Hi Beth. Can you please explain what you have in the screw on the hoop. Looks like it makes it more manageable? Thanks
it is an open ended screwdriver that came with my 97D foot....
Excellent thank you. I have one of those. It will help. Is that what it was designed for?
I just bought a BERNINA 770 QE plus yesterday. I did not get the embroidery module, but seeing this video, I am thinking of getting one. Which foot do you use when embroidering?
I like foot 15 …❤️
What tools are you using to tighten the screw?
It is the little screwdriver that came with my 97D patchwork foot… it is open on the end and rubbery so it fits over the hoop screw and works great!
Helpful video. I’m going to try a label today. If I want a smaller label is there a problem with making the font smaller than 50-60%?
What happens if my machine doesn’t show a cookie sheet? I have the 770 QE
Tap the plus icon and it will show up…❤️
Where did you get all the wonderful decals/stars on your sewing machine?
Walmart… in the school supplies dept…❤️
Thank you I’ll check out that source

Did you ever figure out how to edit the text? Also, how do I turn off the thread cutter?
Hello micki … to turn off the thread cutter you must un-highlight the scissor button on your screen… to completely turn it off you do that plus in settings you must turn it off…❤️
Did you leave all of the cutaway covering the whole back of the label or trim it? thanks
Yes I did…. I trimmed the whole label to the size I wanted and then stitched it to my quilt…❤️

@@FiddlestixAndStitches Thank you..!
Why were you working on top of yr quilt?
My quilt is just laying on my table… I’m not sewing anything on top of my quilt… the label is all on the back….❤️
What brand of thread do you use for
your top and bobbin?
I use thread art thread for embroidery and aurifil for quilting…❤️
Thank You! Do you use a thread stand? I'm having trouble with thread breakage.
No I don’t… but I do use the foam spool pad and a thread net if needed…
Do you typically make a quilt label this large....or are yours smaller?
They can be made smaller but I actually like a larger label…
@@FiddlestixAndStitches I followed your directions and it worked perfectly....I kinda liked the bigger size too. Was surprised!

Yes.. you should always have the slide on table in place when embroidering.. especially with big hoops..❤️
@@FiddlestixAndStitches Thank you for your reply - I need to figure this out now!
Put the table on after you attach the module.
I do have some embroidery questions. How can I communicate with you?
