I love this lesson, not only does it teach you how to do a label it also teaches you to place designs in a row. So much easier than how I tried to do it. Thank you so much for the instructions. You are a great teacher.
You an excellent presenter! The information was excellent; your instructional style was excellent and, you speak slowly and show every detail. I learned so much and I thank you for sharing this lesson!!
Great to have seen this video. I have a 590 and have been learning about it by trial and error. Very clear instructions and well presented. Thanks. Look forward to more!
This is an amazing lesson - I would love to see more from you. I’ve recently moved from an 830 to a 770 - and the description of trays was so very helpful!
Thank you sooo much! I love the fusied label and your easy, calm showing of the machine icons was soooo helpful! Thank you for sharing! I shared as well!
Very clever! There is a sewing tool called a “bodkin” which is a “point turner” with a very small ball shaped tip so you don’t have to worry about a pointy tip poking through the corners.
Thank you for teaching in such a nice manner! I finally feel like I found the directions I need to make a nice label. Now, would would you do another lesson on embroidering on a thick towel please?

You can make a fusible label without an embroidery module on your B 570 QE. To do so: Since you don’t have the embroidery module, you can use lettering built into your machine. It will be smaller but will work just as well. Create your label on the intended fabric (e.g. muslin) first, before you cut it out. Cut out the label as a rectangle, allowing a quarter inch (~ 5mm) seam allowance all around. Cut a rectangle of fusible woven interfacing (e.g. OEST Woven Fusible) of the same size as the cut label. Sew the two rectangles together: Fusible side of the interfacing against the ‘right side’ of the label Using a quarter inch seam allowance Stitch all around the label, leaving no gap. Using scissors, slit the interfacing in the middle along several inches to allow to flip the label right side out. Roll the seam allowances to properly shape the label to the edges. DO NOT PRESS the label yet as you would fuse it your ironing board. Place the label with fusible backing on the project and fuse as instructed in the video.
Thanks so much. I’ve wanted to do this since I got my machine 570 we w/embroidery module. This will help so much. Where do you get the frame you used around the label?
Recently bout 770 QE & have no clue how to do embroidery. You showed me a lot of things I didn’t know. Can’t take lessons yet due to shutdown. Question how did you get the outline that you sewed around? Only showed it was in a folder on the video.
Annie- we are glad you enjoyed Sylvain's presentation. There is no stitching at the end. Once the label is turned right side out, the fusible side of the lining is exposed and upon fusing the label to the back of a quilt it is secure without requiring any additional stitching.
I’ve seen these thread cutters to the right side a few times now. Does anyone know where I can buy one so I can stick it to my 770 QE plus? Or maybe an order number for Europe?
This cutter was added as part of the design on the 4 and 5 series machines- which came after the 7 series machines. I do not think the part is compatible with the 7 series- but I will share your feedback with our design team.

Very helpful. Thank you for sharing your expertise. Where did the outline box come from? Did you design and save that from a software program?

Thanks you 🙏
I haven't made any labels yet. I have the Bernina 570 QEE. You downloaded the fusible frame from a USB. Where did the frame come from?
Sylvain digitized the frame but check out the related blog post to get more detailed information and the file.
Merci beaucoup Sylvain pour ces instructions détaillées. Offrez-vous des cours à Ottawa ou Montréal? Merci!

Thanks for great instructions. Can you please show me How we can make a label on a 570 without the embroidery module.
You can make a fusible label without an embroidery module on your B 570 QE.
To do so:
Since you don’t have the embroidery module, you can use lettering built into your machine. It will be smaller but will work just as well. Create your label on the intended fabric (e.g. muslin) first, before you cut it out.
Cut out the label as a rectangle, allowing a quarter inch (~ 5mm) seam allowance all around.

Sew the two rectangles together:
Fusible side of the interfacing against the ‘right side’ of the label

Using scissors, slit the interfacing in the middle along several inches to allow to flip the label right side out.
Roll the seam allowances to properly shape the label to the edges. DO NOT PRESS the label yet as you would fuse it your ironing board.
Place the label with fusible backing on the project and fuse as instructed in the video.

Hi Ann, the straight stitch line used for the label contour can be downloaded from the Weallsew blog post: weallsew.com/fusible-quilt-label/
Recently bout 770 QE & have no clue how to do embroidery. You showed me a lot of things I didn’t know. Can’t take lessons yet due to shutdown. Question how did you get the outline that you sewed around? Only showed it was in a folder on the video.
Hi Anne! The box was created in BERNINA software. You could also do this step at the sewing machine.
Thank you for this viedo. At the end when you are going to stitch the fusible in, what do I select. I can not tell that part ?
Annie- we are glad you enjoyed Sylvain's presentation. There is no stitching at the end. Once the label is turned right side out, the fusible side of the lining is exposed and upon fusing the label to the back of a quilt it is secure without requiring any additional stitching.

How did you make the rectangular box used to sew down the fusible? Was it done with software?
Hi Anne! The box was created in BERNINA software. You could also do this step at the sewing machine.
How do you get the square Bo’s on the ups stick or where do you get it?
Here is a link to the blog that has the embroidery file for the box as a download. weallsew.com/fusible-quilt-label/
Which stabilizer did you use?
Ultra Clean and Tear by OESD- feel free to check out the linked tutorial for more details.
@@BerninaInternational thank you. If that was mentioned in the tutorial, I sure did miss it.
