Making Rope Coasters With Embroidery!
I am using rope purchased at Menards, it is 100% cotton 1/4 inch rope... I used an 80/12 organ needle and just cotton thread in the bobbin and top to make the coaster...
for the embroidery I used 60 wt thread in my bobbin and 40 wt embroidery thread on top... I used medium to heavy wt tear away stabilizer in my hoop...
here is the link to the design I used... I broke the design apart, resized and adjusted density so that I could put them on a set of coasters....

Thank you for the nicely done project bag video! I also love you notebook cover. You have a lovely, sweet. Oice that is nice to listen to!
@@Stitcher_in_MD thank you hon…. You made my day! ❤️
I wasn't specifically looking for this rendition of sewing in a D-ring, but I watched it because it was fascinating & you do beautiful work. * now I realize why leather bags can be so expensive - it's the beauty AND the craftsmanship.
Hi, thank you for your tutorials. They are so informative. Will I be able to do the edge to edge quilting on my B570QEE? I know you use your 770. Thank you!
@@darleneboone7649 I’m not sure but if you have a module for embroidery I know you can… it will be a smaller hoop and take more hooping but … give it a try! ❤️
Thank you! Terrific instruction. And you're just lovely.
@@joannestamper8411 thank you sooooo much! ❤️
I would love to see your cross stitching. I am also interested in Ribbon Embroidery. I am stuck on figuring out what size ribbons to use. Just discovered your channel and plan to watch your wonderful videos.
@@MS-my6oi thank you soooooo much! In ribbon embroidery you will use multiple sizes in each project so any size you purchase will not be wasted….❤️
I love your tutorial. I am inspire to make my first project bag soon.
Are you posting any new vidoes?
@@kathyscurlock6447 yup… I will soon ..❤️
Thank you! It. Worked on my 880 Plus!
I would like to see your face when you’re talking 😊
Thank you for sharing the method you use for embroidery downloads. I have been storing mine on USB sticks and notebooks. I will now find out how to store them in the cloud for safety.
I absolutely loved watching your tutorial. You're so careful to show every detail of sewing and sharing helpful tips along the way. I especially love how patient and kind you must surely be in person. This is the first video of yours that I've watched, so I'll subscribe and look forward to watching more of your tutorials. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise in sewing. ❤
Such beautiful words… thank you so much… I am humbled that God allows me to do this…❤️
❤ Awww. Yes, ma'am. ❤
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
You are welcome welcome welcome!❤️
@@FiddlestixAndStitches 😄
Just found this channel. Thanks for all the help. I have the 790 Plus. Hadn’t tried the edge to edge. Making sense now. Have you ever tried Kimberbell Clear Blue Tiles?
why not cut the fabric purse out instead of the paper?
Definitely could do that… things like fussy cutting would probly require the pattern but also I love laying my pattern pieces out on my vinyl so I can see what I’ve got before cutting… but cutting the fabric is good too…❤️
This is an outstanding piecing video, thank you so much.
The bag is so beautiful. Do you sell the bags you make and if so, were.
I have a busy little Etsy shop…. www.etsy.com/shop/fiddlestixnstitches
Beth, were do you buy the wool for the Pumpkin Garland project. My quilt shop does not stock wool.
Thank you! I bought my Bernina 720 a few months ago and have been piecing and free motion quilting a quilt. Now I have to do the label and could not find the rotate button. Thank you! I will be back, for sure! This was very helpful!
For hand sewing what size needle do you use? I noticed that you sew the back binding on by hand. Also, the cameo shot of your little Pug is adorable.
I use a sharp… but I use a larger size…almost like an embroidery needle… I also need a larger eye so I can thread it…. Old eyes…lol!
I don't think that's hammer mode. It's supposed to make rapid stabbing motions into the fabric and will stop if it meets too much resistance. Like hammering.
Here is the hammer mode description directly from Bernina… BERNINA Hammer Mode As described above, the needle penetration in the fabric creates friction, which demands the motor to produce more power. The motor needs more current to produce this power, and obviously the higher the friction the higher the current. When too much friction is applied to the needle, i.e. sewing over multiple layers of heavy dense fabric (but before the absolute limit is reached), rather than the motor just attempting to constantly push the needle through the fabric, the motor gets a signal from the electronics to start to pulsate, giving an appearance of a hammer mode. The needle then appears to behave like a miniature jack hammer, attempting to punch through the fabric in rapid firing stabs. This feature allows the machine to reach a higher penetration power without more electrical power. This means an additional burst of power without overloading the motor
I'm about to try my first binding so I really appreciate this presentation and tutorial especially the corners. The camera work is top notch also. Thank you for sharing.
I’m sorry I can’t hear you at all I really did want to watch your video but your speech volume is almost none. The sound of your stapler is just fine. Maybe you can speak up or into your microphone
What size needle did you use to sew on the binding? I love the Pug Christmas Quilt for Shirley what a wonderful gift.
75/11 I think… and I hand sewed the binding on the back❤️
These bars are so good. Thanks for the recipe.
❤Thank you very much for the tutorial and the work ethic. The end result is stunning. ❤
Make sure you give your old kitchen aid mixers a tune up, new gaskets and a thorough application of grease. Those gears need attention because they will break. Kits are available. Easy peasy after I did mine it sounded so much more quiet and happy!
I am going to make these bars. I have a Kitchen Aid mixer, too. I have had mine for 45 years. Happy Memorial Day to you and yours
I'll have to try that recipe.
I made this needle holder last night using vinyl. I decided to change thread to a variable but I wasn't happy with the results. Some of the letters don't show up. So, I will use a solid thread on the next needle holder.
Lol, I use a pickle fork the get the zipper head on the teeth
Thank you enjoyed your tutorial 😊
Thank you for this very nice inspiration. :-)
How much is the yarn?
I don’t sell it…. You would need to visit the website…. But I can tell you it’s very reasonable and she always gives you a discount…❤️
You do good work
Thank you - I've learned quite a bit from this video.
Thank you!!
Incessant sound of water running in the background was very distracting. Did appreciate the tutorial.
It was a fish tank…. I couldn’t go it either and it’s in another room now far far away….❤️🐠
Is there a software program to make a Large notebook in the hoop? I bought the program for the small notebook but there was not on for the larger notebook.
There is… there are many many and all of them cute! Google search in the hoop large composition notebook cover….
What Brillance Program do you use in the computer?
I use Embrilliance Essentials…. I love this software! ❤️
Thanks!
thank you so very very much!!!
You do the best videos and I get so excited when I see you have a new one up!!!!
I love your videos ❤
Thank you…. Your kind words mean so much to me…❤️
Beautiful bag, thank you for sharing.
Hi Beth…the makeup bag is just beautiful! Love the fabric and vinyl combo you used. The video was so relaxing to watch. ❤❤❤
Thank you Gigi for always being so supportive…. You are a beautiful soul! ❤️
@@FiddlestixAndStitches Thank you, Beth. Though we have never met; I’ve always considered you a dear friend. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the video. I also cut my fabric pieces on the SNC. So much easier than by hand.
Thank you for making this video! This fell out today, and I panicked. Glad to know it's not just me and that it was an easy fix!
You are very very welcome! Happy sewing…❤️
How do you store the clipped threads? Do you have empty spools?
I keep them in jars with lids…❤️
What happens if my machine doesn’t show a cookie sheet? I have the 770 QE
Tap the plus icon and it will show up…❤️
Thank you great tutorial ♥️
I hope you got better at filming. Most of the zipper was not caught on video.
I think you would be happier watching an actual studio filmed tutorial… Bernina has many on UA-cam…. Check out Bernina USA or weallsew .com
