The latest DM3 firmware update adds inserts now, so it’s even easier to do this… and has a kill switch and multiple modes for the USB driver too so you can do some waves inserts and still do Spotify / BGM on “another soundcard”… smart…! (I know you will know this but, for others interested etc!) Now, if they’d only add Dugan……
Hi Drew. Because the DM3 doesn't have Dugan Auto Mix, I've been wondering if I could use Wave's Dan Gugan Sound on SuperRack Performer as an auto mix solution. Everyone loves the DM3 but is a little sad it doesn't have Dugan Auto Mix. If Performer and the Waves Dugan Sound plugin was a solution, it would make for a popular video.
Question for soundman estimates for a live performance with monitors When a guitar player arrives with an acoustic guitar that has a pickup to connect to a DI box And the guitar also has volume and EQ buttons What is the right thing to ask the guitar player? Will all the buttons be on the middle? Volume button at 50%? Will the IQ buttons be flat? One of my concerns is that after I have stabilized GAIN, the guitar player may during a performance change the position of the buttons (for reasons of his own) without me having control over it, but this will affect the color of the sound, and even cause feedback Thanks Miki
I usually ask the guitar player to keep everything at 12 O clock. Make him play normally like he would in a show. That becomes my starting point. I make adjustments accordingly after that. In most cases this works else ask him to adjust his volume up or down.

I’ve done this, great solution until/if they add Dugan to the DM3.
