Very informative, thanks! I'd like to see more on the X32 Rack, and how these settings translate to using it with the official X32 app and/or Mixing Station.
Thank you very much for these explanations, hyper helpful, I hadn't spent enough time on the monitor section. After seen it, I obviously have no choice but to apply several of your tips during my last performance :) This enabled me to concentrate more on active listening. Only now, with the notion of delay that could be applied to the monitor bus to be in phase (which I never did before), you've enabled me to highlight a comb filter problem on my FOH. I'm now (excessively) studying the subject of “one source to several loudspeakers”, and I hope you'll have the opportunity to tackle it in one of your videos with ideas for avoiding this issue.
Question for on stage talkbacks…when using a cue mix, how do you get your talkbacks to always be live in your ears? Like a shout box but without having to take your in ears out. Thanks! Another great video!
On this platform (XM32) what I do to accomplish this is: use XLRs to connect from your monitor outputs to 2 (unused) channels. Those channels get assigned to a TALK/CUE bus. Assign your stage talkback mics to this same TALK/CUE bus. That way you can solo mixes/channels while still being able to hear your talkbacks simultaneously
Hi there Drew i was wondering if you could show, how i set up a x32, s32, broadcast, and a translator system, if that is even possible, i need this for my church. Thank you for your videos, they are helping a lot.
Hi Drew! Thank you for your tutorials, you have given me a lot of very useful knowledge on how to use the X32. In fact thanks to you I have just invested in this mixer. I have an X32 Producer and I recently bought a StageBox S16 for it because I needed more in's and out's. For production purposes I need 16 Out's, unfortunately available on the Routing-XLR site there are only 8 to choose from. How do I make it so I can have the full 16 Out's XLR with Delay settings? Thanks Drew!
very good, one thing I didn't understand or search for in the video: is the SOLO applied to the headphone outputs by default, to the MASTER (PA) or headphone+PA? on my mixer at home I can actually set this
Two questions I have, 1. Recomended headphones, as the set I tried using, I just could not get loud enough to be useful during service with main PA running (we run loud services), and 2. I noticed the compressor is kicking in quite a bit on vocals, do you have a video on setting that? I always thought that a compressor should be set to rarely come on during normal use (ie, just when they happen to get really loud, which isn't sustained), and adjust the gain for that.
I might help a little bit on question number 1: You can get headphones with active noise cancelling, or on extreme situations (i've done that), using a pair of headphones with noise cancelling + a pair of in-ear phones (with good passive cancelling) running the sound. You can also check headphones commonly used by DJs as those need to be loud and survive all kinds of scenarios
Hello, I asked you some time ago how to calibrate the faders to 0. When I do it through the console's graphical interface, the fader ends up marking approximately -5db.
Our Sanctuary is really short and wide. (It wasn't intended to be, but plans changed back in the 90's when it was built) we are basically stuck with a mono system no matter what. We have it all working, but how would you set up this system? The insert FX being stereo have made some weird things happen.
I have recently bought a x-18 air but I am the guitar player in the band as well as having to mix, so I need the FoH mix in my stage monitor is there a simply way to get a duplicate FoH mix on one of the monitor sends?
How do you control reverb to the Main Outputs, without effecting the Reverb to the bus sends on the XR 18? If you turn down the effect returns, the effect goes away on the bus’s.
I can't tell you how many people I have recommended to watch your videos! Awesome stuff!

Another super helpful video. I have learned so much on this channel. Thanks Drew!
Great explanation again, as always. I Have the X32 now for a couple of months and your videos so far help me most! Thanks!

Perfect timing again!
I intend to start using IEMs at FOH and this is super helpful. I had no idea there are so many possibilities for setting up solos and monitoring
Thanks for your tutorial. Clear and concise. 🙏
Great video as always Drew
You really know your stuff 😊

Solo in place would be amazing on that console.
Great videos. What's the difference between monitor Source "LR" and "LR AFL"? When would you use one or the other?
Someone needs to make a channel like this for like a Digico S21/31

Is there any way to listen to Solo through outputs other than Monitor OUT?
Would have to be Behringer/Midas best selling entry level console. I have the rack plus the Midas m32 console... I know they're great!
1:51 I'm looking at what he's pointing to. Does it automatically default to PFL?
Sir,
Expect videos with soundcraft si impact console also, since here in my region so many uses this console
Hey drew
