    Would really like to hear more than 20 seconds of the before and after audio. Especially since the title says mix transformation.

      We would have loved to have longer examples but didn't want to get flagged. You can find more before and after footage on their youtube channel if you look them up by church name. Hope that helps!

    Hey are you guys AV installation guys or Audio Engineers? I am a new audio engineer and while I understand everything you are saying conceptually. I didn’t go to school to run cables and “set up” venues. I mix the sound and understand the board and how to tune everything but I think the pastor also thinks I install equipment. I can set it all up yes I know how much running cables and all that it’s really blurring the lines between AV and audio engineer when they’re both different schools/certifications so I just really wanna know your thoughts!

    Churches on a budget can purchase a 32-channel LV1 console for between $3900 and $5900.
    It is also possible to obtain the performance of a Waves Proton server for just $200 instead of $850, if required.

      I'm assuming you're talking about DIY servers. I love the idea behind this but the truth is most churches would rather pay a little more so that they have the support they need from waves. I haven't used a DIY server but have been told they won't support it. Is that the case?

    • @anthony_basta
      @anthony_basta 2 місяці тому

      @@churchfrontmatt Most of the churches you come into contact with have the means to pay for Waves servers, and it's normal for them to buy them directly. ☺
      However, for small and medium-sized churches that don't have these means but want to get the best system possible, DIY servers can be a suitable solution. For example, I helped a friend create two servers more powerful than the Titan-R for $990 each, instead of $4,499. The main server is so reliable and powerful that he no longer even uses the second one, which was intended as a backup. He's been using it for over 6 months. 😄

      @@churchfrontmatt La plupart des églises avec lesquelles vous êtes en contact ont les moyens de payer les serveurs de Waves, et il est normal qu'elles les achètent directement. Cependant, moi je travaille beaucoup comme intégrateur dans les églises en afrique et pour les petites et moyennes églises qui n'ont pas ces moyens mais qui souhaitent obtenir le meilleur système possible, les serveurs DIY peuvent être une solution adéquate. 😊
      Par exemple, j'ai aidé un ami à créer deux serveurs plus puissants que le Titan-R pour un coût de 990 $ chacun, au lieu de 4 499 $. Le serveur principal est si fiable et puissant qu'il n'utilise même plus le deuxième, qui devait servir de secours.😅

      @@anthony_basta Was that for a church? Where is it located? In all honesty churchfront will most likely continue to sell waves certified equipment because of waves support, but it would make a cool video to see that in action!

      @@churchfrontmatt Yes, I know several churches and professionals in Paris who use Waves DIY servers. I understand that if you already have contracts with Waves, it may not be wise to let everyone know that it's possible to save thousands of dollars. 😅

    We have a SQ6 and I have been looking at some kind of waves setup to go along with it. But we are in a small room, and I’m a bit worried about delays for the sound to go through a lot of systems before it hits the speakers and wedges. How much extra delay does a system like this add?

    • @churchfrontmatt
      @churchfrontmatt 2 місяці тому

      The delay using a waves soundgrid solution like this is absolutely negligible. Unless you're using extremely high latency plugins you won't notice any delay.

    Hi, im from Vietnam and i have a question. what kind the mics u used for room mics? and hard pan for those mics? should i low cut about 300-350hz above for those mics?

    • @Churchfront
      @Churchfront  Місяць тому

      We used a simple pair of Rode M5 condenser microphones. Yes they are panned hard left and right and we did roll off the low end to keep the "mud" out of them.

    Just a question, why are you locking churches with limited budgets into proprietary protocols?
    You could have given this church the same set up for cheaper or similar pricing by using a Mac and super rack performer with Dante.
    Now they are locked into using only waves plugins with limited processing power and in the future if they want to expand or revamp their system they will either have to scrap what they have and purchase all new plugins & equipment or continue to be bound with only waves proprietary gear.
    Waves, is great and has great plugins but as soon as these churches realize what is available to them, they will soon realize what you have limited them from.
    Using performer and a MacBook Pro or Mini, they can use both waves and 3rd party plugins like black salt, get way more processing for money, and be able to use that system with any console in the future.

    • @Churchfront
      @Churchfront  2 місяці тому +1

      Because in our experience waves software plays best with waves hardware. Soundgrid accomplishes 95% of what dante does and if they really need dante in the future they could get a waves dante bridge.
      Yes they could run superrack performer but you'd still need to have a dedicated computer for that and you wouldn't have the convenience of audio I/O being on soundgrid vs just USB.

    • @PUGLIA_JO
      @PUGLIA_JO 2 місяці тому

      @@Churchfront waves software doesn’t run any better or worse on or off waves hardware. It depends on the processing power your gear has. Waves charges a lot of $ for less power. We got around this years ago with Dante and a DAW. It was only this last year when they released performer to catch up to what others were doing to bypass their “proprietary protocol” for live low latency performance.
      You don’t need their Dante bridge. The separate computer replaces the waves hardware for processing but also allows you to utilize either a third party DAW or performer to run third party plugins. It also allows you to utilize that computer for more than just processing plugins.
      Audinates Dante virtual sound card will allow you to route from your board via Dante straight into performer or any other DAW without a proprietary Waves Gear.
      Just throwing that out there, comes from experience dealing with waves, Dante and figuring out solutions to problems that the companies didn’t want to address because of their bottom line.

    • @PUGLIA_JO
      @PUGLIA_JO 2 місяці тому

      @@Churchfront P.S. I am not just talking about what they need but meeting those needs while at the same time setting churches up for the future without spending any more money.
      Networking is the future, Dante and other protocols that run on networks will allow these churches to expand audio and video anywhere they want.
      All at the same price point you are already charging.
      Example.
      **Waves vs Dante expansion port:
      -waves is proprietary and can only route to waves software or a daw.
      -Dante will allow you to route audio anywhere and to anything. **Proton duo vs a Mac.
      Both can process audio around the same price point. But with the Mac you can do anything with it beyond processing plugins.

    The challenge of these videos, is we are hearing from the person who did the work. All this self praise gets a bit tiresome. Wonder what an independent reviewer would say about the work done. Sounds more like advertising to me !. Over time one gets wiser....
