Only 2 games I cried after I finished them. And after started again and again and each time I was able to discover some hidden content without any manuals. This game changed my life.
I want to see the trophy list. Chances are people will be getting the 108th Star of destiny and the plat trophy at the same time, won't be too bad to do as long as you have a guide, but for new gamers without tips it'll be a rollercoaster ride. Took me like 3 playthroughs to find MukuMuku.
I actually consider suikoden 2 the best rpg of all time. So happy to see it getting some love

This is my favorite JRPG series of all time. I did not expect this to be remastered at all.
Suikoden 1 & 2 are the only games I've ever played from start to finish at least 4 times, can't wait to play them again!

I'd prefer to see a full on remakes. These remakes could take the combat and gameplay of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Zones of Final Fantasy XIV and Tales of Arise. Art Style of Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Demon's Souls.

The background in the scene with riou and jowy jumping off the cliff looks breathtaking and the overworld map looks great as well.

Suikoden 2 is the best game of all time for me. Glad to see it resurfaced again. Hopefully they remaster or even remake 3,4 and 5 but I doubt the latter.

2 took everything 1 did and made it 100x better. 1 is still an amazing game though.
I can’t believe they actually did this! Suikoden 1 and 2 are some of the best JRPGs I’ve ever played, the stories and characters, I think about it and how great it was even after all these years.
Let's hope this sells well and Konami decides to port the other Suikoden games

Total goosebumps and crying right now! I can't count how many times I've finished Suikoden 1 and 2, my fave RPG of all time. Most people will say FF7 or other RPGs but Suikoden 1 and 2 are my absolute favorites! So nostalgic!

Take note Square Enix, this is how remastered 16bit games should look like.

Masa marvelous sanggup nge remake Harvest moon BTN tapi Konami pemalas, cuma modal bikin gamenya dari 144p ke 2K-4K doangan, ga dibikin 3D modelnya dan keseluruhannya, klo ga remake aja, memang pemalas Konami sekarang ga kayak dulu😢
As someone who just got interested in trying out these game this could not have come at a better time. Also, that crisp pixel-art with nice HD post-processing and hand-drawn portrait art looks fantastic. Even the font looks quite nice. Staying true to old school roots, while shinying it up and not losing that original aesthetic - looks VERY promising :)
Dude you'll love this series. Suikoden 1 and 2 is the best. And suikoden 1 saved data can be carried to suikoden 2.
The fonts look terrible to myself, too sharp I hope theres options to have a different one, and a lot of the artwork in general just looks too sharp too me so its offputting, I hope fans backport the updated scripts into the OG games.

I wish we had more games that were like this where you build up your forces. These games were so far ahead of their time. I still my original disks for these. I can't wait for the remastered so incan introduced my girlfriend to some of the best rpgs out there. Just wish xenogears would get this chance too.

i used to play and finished suikoden 2(6 times), suikoden 3(3 times), suikoden 4(1 time), suikoden 5(1 time), i would say suikoden 3 is the best in term of battle system and skill, it look super cool and more realistic than 4 and 5. Suikoden 2 is great too, if they plan to remake suikoden 2 or make suikoden 6, i would recommend them to make them similar to suikoden 3, and do not listen to propaganda who said suikoden 2 and 5 are better than suikoden 3.

@@zelkielthelibrarian2466 Or having a Holy Rune equipped on one of your party members. That said, being able to run without Stallion or a Holy Rune is great. It also means that they've probably fixed other issues as well, like the translation quality of the games.
@@zelkielthelibrarian2466 I know that, or as the other commentor said, equipping a Holy Rune on another character. But having a party member that only has a Holy Rune equipped for the one rune slot they have isn't really something I want in my party. I'd usually put it on Kai, because at least he has a unite attack with Tir that ends random battles right away. It's better if they can just naturally run without the Holy Rune like in Suikoden 2.
If Suikoden is getting a remaster, this is a prelude to a new next gen Suikoden. This, paired with Suikoden IP renewal by Konami and signing up a famous Suikoden VA.

They should improve the character sprites. They look heavy pixelated and it's a serious problem when you play on a 50" 4K TV.
Suikoden 1+2 are two of my absolute favourite games of all time. Seeing them remastered is a dream come true. Even if they just ported it to modern systems would have been enough for me, but Konami really did it right this time.
I was hoping for just a port for the longest just to have them on the newer consoles and now this is coming so it's safe to say day one Buy for me. Just downloaded them to my Vita as well so I think I will wait until this hits to give them another go

This remaster doesn't look cheap like chrono cross. They even redesigned most visuals and battle effects. Its like a remake. Goosebumps

Now this was a remaster that was sorely needed. I'm so so so so so happy!!!!! I've been wanting to play Suikoden II for years after beating Suikoden III and not really delving into the later ones, but this will finally solve that. Best decision ever!
Suikoden II for me, even surpasses the Final Fantasy games for my favorite JRPG of all time. I can't believe how such a masterfully done epic was done in the 90's. Almost cried seeing this.

I had a goosebumps everywhere. I even bought the original soundtrack of Suikoden 1 and 2 from Konami from Japan.
Listening to the soundtrack alone gave me a goosebumps. And now I heard that Konami will Remastered these two legendary childhood game, cannot wait to play for it.

I rented Suikoden 1 on PS1 waaay back in the 90’s on a whim and was absolutely blown away with the stars of destiny/base building mechanic. Nobody’s done it better since. Cant wait for this.

and yes i know octopath traveler exists but wish that more devs would want to try using this style more.
This is amazing. Panzar Dragoon Saga NEEDS a remaster as well. I own an original copy and don’t care if the value goes down… the world needs to experience these rare games.

@@amnos180188 That's the complete opposite. I wouldn't bother using him. He becomes unusable midway through the game and only becomes usable after you collect all 108 by endgame. lol

check out "eiyuden chronicle" from my understanding it's from the same team that did suikoden and is supposed to be similar. guess we'll have to wait and see if it holds up though
