I think, the Leader of Sindar will be the strongest person in Suikoden universe and possibly the final boss (or hidden boss) of the game series (if it still on going) Because he's traveling from timeline to timeline, from one era to others
I have given up that we will ever get a proper Suikoden sequel. Without the creators that gave the games 1,2,3 and 5 (I'm kinda mixed with the 4) their unique feel we will never get one.

@@RainingFlow19 The problem is that many people haven't played Suikoden 3 or 5 as they are so hard to get hard of especially in the UK and Europe, maybe he didn't pick up 4 and thats why he didn't know of any after 2. While 4 is decent it isn't a patch on 1+2 that actually have many of returning characters from 1. Well tactics unfortunately I've had it around 15 years and not got round to playing it oops lol

Ever since the release if suikoden 2 (which is my all time favorite rpg game.. no one can beat this game.) I've been a massive fan. I hope konami can release more suikoden games..

Yeah suikoden2 is my favorite. But I haven't played it in 20 years and don't know really if it was just cuz I was a kid and I'm remembering it through rose tinted glasses. It's the only game that made me tear up though. I really felt the story, it was amazing. Would love a new suikoden game. They did so many little things right. Not slow like final fantasy games where just starting a battle takes 10 seconds of animations.
@@bennysusanto5524 Maybe the game came out very late and nowadys it´s hard to get and also very expensive and it´s also the only title that is not available digital on PSN. It´s stuck on PS2. Many consider it either better or 2nd best after Suikoden II.
I like how Konami just role reversal Luc and Sasarai's character in 2 of the games. in Suikoden 1 and 2, Luc's the good guy by helping the MC to win the war and in Suikoden 3 he's the main final boss. as for Sasarai, in Suikoden 2 he's the bad guy for joining Luca's army or was it Joey's army? and in Suikoden 3 he's the good guy trying to stop his big brother Luc by joining the MC's castle.

Slight correction to the Rune of Punishment's past owners: husband/father of Rikie and Rakgi respectively; pirate Steele (Suikoden Tactics) and the unknown owner who brought it to Obel. It was clearly mentioned in Suikoden IV when the protagonist was asked to meet Rikie and Rakgi in the Obel Ruins.
The man at Obel ruins passed the rune to the Queen of Obel. Then The Queen of Obel passed the rune to Graham Cray. Then Graham to his son when he loses his arm, then the boy passed the rune to Rikie's husband. Then the husband passed the rune to Steele. Then Steele passed the rune to Brandeau, then Glen and finally Lazlo, that is the order.
I didn't know remember the Eightfold Rune, the Circle Rune or the Rune of Change, so that was interesting. Jeane should also have one, since she appears in every damn Suikoden game and appears unaged (not buying the "every woman in her family looks the same" bs). Also Viki's rune allows her to travel space AND time, which sounds a bit broken to me if it was just a normal rune. It must be a True one. It's too powerful, even if Viki can't really control it very well.
Must admit I always assumed that Viki had a true rune as no where else in the game is teleportation and especially when you add time to it, it makes sense. I assumed Jeane had a powerful rune but unsure if it was a true rune or not. Definately didn't buy it that every woman in her family looked the same, unless you want to put that down to dodgy writing lol

@@Sakura_Matou Idk about Viki, but jeane and lorelai has somekind of connection on sindar, I personally believe that jeanne under the grace of rune of change, which hold by sindar leader, she also has the same habit as them, keep moving around, but for jeane it is kinda weird, since sindar keep moving south, but she is heading north, and for lorelai there is conversation between her and the royal prince frey on lake ceras castle at night, that she telling him, that she is a sindar, but then she told him that she is joking in weird tone...

Viki is from Ancient Sindar(from her cloth?) , so probably she is also has connection to Rune of Change (Maybe). Also Viki timeline in game (personal opinion)= Suikoden 5 (She does not recognize lolerai if she from 1 or 2 she will know lolerai, her word when the first time meet "is that place still around" because new armes invade falena maybe she come from 6 or more) >4 (she know Jeane but Jeane seem not recognize her) > 1 > 2 > 3(she know Apple). BTW suikoden game timeline = 4>5>1>2>3.
Milady, at least we have got back mass effect, even if i wish they would continue the last story I am so happy it is back 😉 and there will be eiyjuden Chronicles wich is from the makers of suikoden, which looks awesome. So there is hope, don't cry never ever 😃
@@jannyegaxherd9376 Thank you for your kind words, sir. Yeah, I'm definitely grateful for Mass Effect Andromeda even if I wish upon the same thing, that they'd continue the last story. And honestly, it feels so horrible to see how the series ended Shepard in Mass Effect 3. I remember crying over it, haha. And yeah, I learned about Eiyuden Chronicles a few months back, and I couldn't be happier. I saw all their contents on Kickstarter and it looks very promising. Back them up a little and hope the production goes well and smoothly. Can't wait to be able to play it, hopefully they released it not only on consoles :)
@@G_Lady I believe they will continue with that name if people don't talk it down because it is not called directly "Suikoden". It is like with castlevania, the makers cannot call it castlevania anymore so they call it bloodstained. But in the end they continued for the love of the fans of those series. As far as I heared it will be released for console and also on pc, but don't know if there will be physical copies. And yepp milady, talking about Charakters, I am with you, there's some that are unique like Shephard and Peebee on mass effect or Luc and Nash on Suikoden. Or Seb on The Evil Within 2. We still don't know the possessors of true Change & circle rune. Nor the secrets of the Sindars. Mysteries and past lives of Jeane, Yuber, Viki, Zerase, or Leknaat. This is an incomplete game and we've been at this petition for over a decade now, I demand a new release and continuation of Suikoden games in Ps4 or Ps5 to come! We have seen nothing on Ps3😢
Some things are best left a mystery anyway, as explaining them at this stage would likely just be underwhelming. Better to drop hints, but keep it mysterious.
ive always been interested in the remaining true runes. as well as the 3 runes that still havent been fully talked about (circle 8fold and change.) not only this but there has been one factor that ive always been interested in. all runes are born from the 27 true runes. with each passing suikoden game there has been several new runes added in. there are also runes that are character Unique (only 1 character thru the series has them, im not going thru all of them.) but then in the shops they have many additional runes. lots of status changing runes like boost, killer, magic, multi strike, crazed, wall, knight, as well as the prosperity and fortune, etc etc etc. there are also runes that are "weapon" unique. like runes that 1h swords can use, runes that axe users can use. runes that bow users can use. boomerang. etc etc. then other runes still that are more inserted just for the specific game play. like sound, window, and holy for run speed. i havent even mentioned the battle "animal" runes like boar and falcon and viper that are unique attacks. none the less. with all these weird runes, what are their true runes? we still have 9 unaccounted Trues so there are still many things that can be created. i even wonder what the ressurection rune came from. some people think its the night rune or moon rune or possibly even the soul eater since its the "life and death" rune (the darkness rune came from it obviously.) for sure tho one thing i didnt like is how they handled the pre suikoden 1 games.....all these runes that are in suikoden 4 and 5 that are pre time line dont exist in suikoden 1. obviously cuz they improved as they created them in their order but chronologically its still annoying. suikoden 1 and 2 are definately in need of a remake just on this reason alone.
If you play through to the end of Suikoden 3, you can play as Yuber and can use his Eight-Devil rune. Not sure why the author of this video said it was not featured...
Rouge Dragon yes. a bonus feature in suikoden 3. if you completed the 104 stars just before the final battle, the extra 4 stars will be revealed and their point of view will be the bonus chapter, one of which is yuber. :)
So, in order for Riou to get true rune and became immortal, he had to kill Jowy? Riou won't be alive the next time we see him. He prefer to travel the world with his families instead.
I think Clive's gun is one of the True Rune because Elza said that it had a soul and chose its wielder. Maybe a True Rune that mirrors Protection and Assasination. My theory, it is True Skill Rune because to be an assassin, one has so many skills
I always wondered what would happen if all 27 true runes were brought together. I imagine it could bring ultimate destruction to the world if they all clashed and that would be fun to experience.

i believe Rune of Punishment is among the strongest true runes.. together with Sun Rune, Dragon Rune, Rune of Change, Night Rune, (Complete) Gate Rune (if fused again together both parts..), Circle Rune, Life and Death, Rune of Beginning (also if complete, if its separate parts back fused again..) and Sovereign (as it has the power to cancel some other kinds of powers of\from other runes..).. not that the others aren't strong, specially True Fire, Beast, Eightfold, Moon etc.. but those others mentioned before (these) are, or must be, the shit.

That is mistranslation name the true name is Godspeed rune. Holy rune is similar to resurrection rune and holy rune is not confirmed by game maker but im sure they add holy rune if the game still continued...
In Suikoden III, you can choose to give the True Fire Rune to Hugo, Geddoe or Chris. If you give it to Hugo, then Geddoe keeps the True Lightning and Chris gets the True Water. If you give it to Chris, then Geddoe keeps the True Lightning and Hugo gets the True Water. If you give it to Geddoe, then Hugo gets the True Lightning and Chris gets the True Water. Anyway, Geddoe can never get True Water and Chris can never get True Lightning. Only Hugo can potentially get any of the three. The cannon story wants Hugo to get Fire, Geddoe to keep Lightning and Chris to get Water though.

In Suikoden 1? Yuber n Pesmerga were a story which I wanted to be mainlined as well as Clive's story as well. You left out the true runes make theirv owners sort of immortal immune to aging over time.

It's a shame we'll never get resolution to the Rune Saga of Suikoden. Even if we do get any new games in the future, however unlikely, Konami has all but abandoned that timeline for some inexplicable reason in exchange for the multiverse of sub par spin offs. RIP Suikoden.
If in the 27 true runes amount there are some which are separated between itself (or themselves), but if they were not separated from the beginning, and otherwise were kept fused to each other, how many true runes would be there then?...

Hopefully a lot of people purchase the Remake of Suikoden 1 & 2; maybe it'll give Konami a kick in the @ss to make Suikoden 6. We have 18 out of 27 discovered so far; still 9 more to go and most likely 2 games more worth of content. Hopefully we get some of our beloved characters back like Viktor, Flik, and McDohl. Gremio would be a nice addition as well; same as Riou, Jowy, and Nanami. It'd be cool to see the Scarlet Moon King make a reappearance as we have no idea what happened to him after the first game.
As hyped as I am for Eiyuden Chronicle, I wish they could just finish out this universe. There are runes we know about and haven’t seen and runes we don’t know at all. There’s an entire continent we know about but have no idea what’s going on over there. Part of my wishes that Sony buys Konami and rabbit and bear so they can call it suikoden 6 the eiyuden chronicle.

@@manoharalisa5829 neclord and sierra appears only in suikoden 1 and 2. The time length is about 10 years only. Who knows they long lives until 100 years old. Jeanne and Viki appears in every suikoden series. The time length from suikoden 4 (the oldest) to suikoden 3 is more than 100 years. 😁🤣

I wish Suikoden series would be continued. Such a great concept and world. Suikoden 3 and 4 are on the weak side, but the others especially 2 and 5 are brilliant.
3 Had the potential to be great, but splitting the story between the three characters the way they did made it much harder to get invested and immersed in any one of them, and really hurt the game overall IMO. Should've just had you pick 1 of them at the start and stay with them.
@@planescaped Agreed. It would have given the game more replay value by incentivizing you to play the other character's routes to get more of the story, and effectively reduced the overwhelming amount of back tracking.

@@silentecho92able Multiple characters with intertwined stories wasn't a new thing when Suikoden 3 did it as you pointed out. Seiken Densetsu 3 had done it on the SNES/Super Famicom and one of the best early implementations was Rudra no Hihou also on the SNES/Super Famicom. With all the love and attention being given to RPGs from the 90s I'm surprised Square-Enix hasn't brought Rudra to America in an official capacity. They just gave Live A Live a Western release and it has some of the multiple character aspects. Each character's story is separate in Live A Live until they all meet up, unlike Suikoden 3, Rudra, Seiken Densetsu 3 where all the stories are intertwined and you can see the same events, but from different characters' perspectives.

The two most dangerous true tunes for the living is the rune of punishment where it kills the host & then the soul eater where it kills people & devours their souls that are involved with the runes bearer... But lazlo didnt turn to dust weird that he didn't but he never woke up so I say he dead...
Doesn't the Eight Fold Rune make an appearance in suikoden 1 when yuber summons the massive army of demons? And also, he does regularly teleport. I suppose neither of those really constitutes an appearance of the rune, but they certainly were displays of the rune's power.
Actually there's one theory that stated that Hikusaak is a hero himself in the like of Tir/Riou. He rise up againts an empire, with 108 warriors, gain a true rune (circle rue), won, and created a new empire (Harmonia). But then the curse of the rune came and he became what we know now.
I had a concept or two to throw out. Hear me out. In 1 the imprisoned elf had the true rune that gave him unmatched speed. In 2/3 Jeane had a charm or something like that rune, even if wrong she definitely has one. But in 5 there was the young woman who you took to the Sindar Ruin after Jeane went there I believe she was related to resurrection but this is just my thought on it. Pesmerge from 1 who actively hunted Yuber is another factor to think on, and if you include Viki and her time travel and age since she knows of people and things she shouldn't. So in my opinion I believe there should at least be three more true runes, 5 if we stretch. Now some of them could maybe be a child rune butin regard to Viki, Jeane and the speedster that shouldn't be the case.
The speedster is stallion who is an elf archer. I just put his speed down to some natural speed he had, but just decided that the game just wanted to give him a rune as a demonstration of his ability. Bit like the monsters you can recruit like the griffin etc, Definately agree re Viki, Yuber and Pesmerge and unsure on Jeane. Really hope for more games and/or remakes though lol

It a rune unique to them but yet to be proven/stated that they're a True Rune. But it would be super cool if it is revealed that they're the bearer of True Runes. Both of them are in all eras.
Viki the teleport girl don't have a true rune, but a teleport rune that can travel time, and for Jeane, I think she have a True Charm Rune? because some of the True Runes bearer are Immortal like Soul Eater and Gate Rune.. just my opinion...
Viki has a Blinking Rune and Jeane has a Charm Rune, both of which are considered to be normal rune. It has been hinted that Jeane is nonhuman while Viki is traveling through time.
Riley Crane (an avid Suikoden fan) had some thoughts on this. A good read. :) Of the 78 card deck of the Chinese Tarot, 22 of them are known as the Triumphs, Major Arcana, or Higher Arcana. They are allegorical representations of aspects of our world typically used to predict one’s destiny and in a way alter fate. In the case of the World of the 27 True Runes the 5 elements are added to these Major Arcana. Every Major Arcana also has two sides, a divinatory and reverse meaning which so far fits with what we know of True Runes. Every Suikoden story follows the unending struggle between Dharma and Chaos as the True Runes conflict with each other. Let’s start at the beginning. 00 - THE FOOL - The Rune of Beginning (Bright Shield & Black Sword) The source of all Shield Runes and possibly equipment defense/offense and “Experience” itself (Some would argue Sword Runes like Sword of Cyclone and Sword of Rage are descended from Black Sword, but none of those five possess Flash Judgment or Twinkling Blade so it makes more sense that the Five Elemental Swords are properties of the Five Elemental True Runes. I think we have yet to see a true child of the Black Sword) The Fool, in China, is seen as comic, but he is also a kind and honorable person. It signifies Potential, Self-Knowledge, and Pure Adventure, but it can also represent Impulse, Poor Judgment, and Hard Life Lessons. The “Initial Birth of Chaos” and the “Power to Judge War” are referred to by Leknaat during different endings of Suikoden II. The Fool is without a number either appearing at the beginning or end of the deck depending on the edition making it the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. If we interpret “judge” as forming a conclusion, this fits perfectly with beginning and ending conflicts of Chaos and Dharma. 01 - THE MAGICIAN - True Magic Rune The possible source of Wizard/Magical Runes, Boundary & Barrier Runes, Alert Runes, and Magic Rune Pieces The Magician represents the ability to achieve goals through talent, strategy, or available tools. In the reverse it is representative of Ineptitude, Delay, and using one’s talents for Destructive Ends. Apart from the innate power present in each rune, the Magic and Magic Defense Statistics for each individual will determine its effect when casting and receiving attack spells. This True Rune could be responsible for not only magic enhancing/deflecting runes, but also the existence of the Magic & Magic Defense Stats themselves. 02 - THE HIGH PRIESTESS - Rune of Sight, the All-Seeing Eye The possible source of Window Runes, Bucket Runes, and Window Sets The High Priestess deals with Secrets, and Occult Wisdom; in the negative it represents Shortsightedness and Ignorance. This one in particular is special because it deals with an aspect of Suikoden that breaks the 4th wall. The characters inside of the World of the 27 True Runes cannot see the “Windows” that these sets refer to, only the player can. A True Rune such as this could grant its bearer the ability to see beyond superficial knowledge and monitor the world as the player does. 03 - THE EMPRESS - Rune of the Gate (Front Gate & Back Gate) The source of Blue/Pale Gate Runes, and possibly Conqueror [Black] Runes (You could argue that the Rune of the Gate should be The Chariot, but that place belongs to the parent of divine transportation runes. You could also argue that the Blinking Rune should be considered a child, but once again that rune fits more closely with divine transportation than with entering and exiting the World of Emptiness) Creativity, Progress, and Generative Forces may seem like an odd pairing with Runes that summon monsters from the World of Emptiness, but it also brings a loved one back from the past; The Empress is typically depicted alongside a Phoenix which famously rises from the ashes in a similar manner. The reverse meaning of the life-giving mother is one of Feminine Manipulation. The “Watcher of the Balance” keenly guides the fate of nations to prosperity while the other half creates conflict through the corruption of mind control. 04 - THE EMPEROR - The Sovereign Rune The possible source of Turtle, Parent Turtle, and Champion Runes This is one that is an easy fit. The Empress’ counterpart represents Worldly Power, Authority, and Indomitable Spirit, but also Immaturity, Tyranny, and War-Making Tendencies. The True Rune of Absolute Rule also transforms into a Golden Dragon which has long been a representation of Chinese Emperors’ authority. 05 - THE HEAVENLY MASTER (Hierophant, Pope) - The Dragon Rune The possible source of Chameleon, Angry Dragon, Fire Lizard, Fire Dragon, and Spreading Flame Runes The Pope is a Dragon? No. If we were to reference the European Tarot it could be linked to the epic tale of King Arthur wherein the Sword of Power, Excalibur, was part of “The Dragon” which was the source of Merlin’s power linking the health of the King to the Health of the Land. However, we are basing this on the Chinese Tarot wherein the Heavenly Master is Master Chang Tao Ling the first great teacher of Taoism. “The power that tears the sky apart” depends on strong willpower and clarity of thought to summon and control Dragons. It can tap into the power of the elements (such as fire, ice, and lightning breath) and link the heaven and earth. The Heavenly Master represents Clarity, Ritual Behavior, and Mercy; on the negative side it embodies Outdated Thinking, Vulnerability, and Foolish Generosity. 06 - THE LOVERS - Rune of Unity The possible source of Charm, Phero, Nymph, Friendship, Kindness, Hate, and Red Rose Runes If there is such a thing as Karma in the World of the 27 True Runes this is the source of it. The Lovers represent Love, Beauty, and Perfection, and in the reverse Distrust, Separation, and Uncertainty. Since Viki’s Blinking Rune replaces what would normally be an airship or teleport pad in an RPG it has more to do with transport than with accessing other dimensions; it is for that reason that I would put it in this category instead of with the Gate. 08 - STRENGTH (justice) - True Skill Rune The possible source for Slash (Flash), Isshin, Titan, Ogre, Pixie, Full Moon, Mallet, Trick, Mischief, Twin Ring, Medicine, Spider-Slay Runes, Skill Rune Pieces, Skill/Technique itself Justice and Strength are reversed in different editions of Tarot. In a way they are interchangeable, and both True Runes dealing with them will depend on Skill/Technique. The Skill statistic determines your accuracy and counterattack. These [mostly] command runes are all associated with specific skills without effects or association with animal-style martial arts. 09 - THE HERMIT - Rune of Solitude The possible source of Firefly, Great Firefly, and Skunk Rune, and perhaps Gravity itself This category would encompass attraction runes that have no Karmic tie. The Hermit represents Isolation, Prudence, and Counsel, and in the reverse Regression, Dullness, and Poor Advice. This could also be the source of Gravity for the world which we can assume is round due to the existence of a horizon. 10 - WHEEL of FORTUNE - Rune of Chance The possible source of Fortune, Prosperity, Hunter Runes, Technique Runes, Fortune Rune Pieces, and Luck itself The Wheel of Fortune unites the four aspects of heaven, Seiryu the Dragon, Genbu the Tortoise, Suzaku the Phoenix, and Byakko the Tiger. It represents Good and Bad Luck, Culmination, and Inevitability. This Rune is what makes Chinchirorin possible. 11 - JUSTICE (strength) - True Combat Rune The possible source of Counter, Killer, Knight, Steel, Strike-Back, Multi-Strike, Double-Beat, Double-Edged, Crazed, Exertion, Wall, Boost, and Warrior Runes, and Defense Rune Pieces, and [Physical] Defense, [Physical] Strength itself Justice, Virtue, and Honor are represented by this card; Bias, Bigotry, and Intolerance in the reverse. 16 - THE TOWER - Rune of Change The possible source of Journeyman Crystals, Spark Rune I have heard many people argue for a True Rune of Time, there is no need, I believe the Rune of Change to be that Rune because, what is time really other than a property of distance and decay, or “Change that affects us all”. The Sindar people were cursed to constantly run their course in one area and move onward until they reached the Eternal City. This card deals with aspects like Complete and Sudden Change, Abandoning Past Relationships, and Severing Friendships. 17 - THE STARS - The Night Rune The source of the Star Rune, and possible Sleep, Comet, and Resurrection Runes You could argue that Resurrection Runes care an aspect of Soul Eater being the other side, but considering where they are found and what they are used for, the Night Rune seems much more likely. 18 - THE MOON - The Moon Rune, Blue Moon The possible source of Drain, Magic Drain, Dryad, Wrath, Poison, Ripple, and Venom Runes All the runes that sap strength and corrupt the body. Nothing to do with nanami being alive nor does it hurt the completion (more or less a bonus character to recruit). Nanami's life or death is connected to making a response quick before the message box disappears. In order to determine if she is alive, the doctor will call flik or maybe viktor( dont remeber who) after nanami is declared dead by doc

@@RainingFlow19 The problem is that many people haven't played Suikoden 3 or 5 as they are so hard to get hard of especially in the UK and Europe, maybe he didn't pick up 4 and thats why he didn't know of any after 2. While 4 is decent it isn't a patch on 1+2 that actually have many of returning characters from 1. Well tactics unfortunately I've had it around 15 years and not got round to playing it oops lol

Yeah suikoden2 is my favorite. But I haven't played it in 20 years and don't know really if it was just cuz I was a kid and I'm remembering it through rose tinted glasses. It's the only game that made me tear up though. I really felt the story, it was amazing. Would love a new suikoden game. They did so many little things right. Not slow like final fantasy games where just starting a battle takes 10 seconds of animations.
Ppl should start a petition to get Sukioden back to be remade and also making a 6. Maybe They don't understand how much ppl want this game back.

I like how Konami just role reversal Luc and Sasarai's character in 2 of the games. in Suikoden 1 and 2, Luc's the good guy by helping the MC to win the war and in Suikoden 3 he's the main final boss.
as for Sasarai, in Suikoden 2 he's the bad guy for joining Luca's army or was it Joey's army? and in Suikoden 3 he's the good guy trying to stop his big brother Luc by joining the MC's castle.

Slight correction to the Rune of Punishment's past owners: husband/father of Rikie and Rakgi respectively; pirate Steele (Suikoden Tactics) and the unknown owner who brought it to Obel.
It was clearly mentioned in Suikoden IV when the protagonist was asked to meet Rikie and Rakgi in the Obel Ruins.
The man at Obel ruins passed the rune to the Queen of Obel. Then The Queen of Obel passed the rune to Graham Cray.
Then Graham to his son when he loses his arm, then the boy passed the rune to Rikie's husband.
Then the husband passed the rune to Steele.
Then Steele passed the rune to Brandeau, then Glen and finally Lazlo, that is the order.

I didn't know remember the Eightfold Rune, the Circle Rune or the Rune of Change, so that was interesting.
Jeane should also have one, since she appears in every damn Suikoden game and appears unaged (not buying the "every woman in her family looks the same" bs). Also Viki's rune allows her to travel space AND time, which sounds a bit broken to me if it was just a normal rune. It must be a True one. It's too powerful, even if Viki can't really control it very well.
Must admit I always assumed that Viki had a true rune as no where else in the game is teleportation and especially when you add time to it, it makes sense. I assumed Jeane had a powerful rune but unsure if it was a true rune or not. Definately didn't buy it that every woman in her family looked the same, unless you want to put that down to dodgy writing lol
Jeanne is an conundrum. She isn't just a single person, they are Armenians that use the "change" rune to depict one single Jeanne.

Viki is from Ancient Sindar(from her cloth?) , so probably she is also has connection to Rune of Change (Maybe).
Also Viki timeline in game (personal opinion)= Suikoden 5 (She does not recognize lolerai if she from 1 or 2 she will know lolerai, her word when the first time meet "is that place still around" because new armes invade falena maybe she come from 6 or more) >4 (she know Jeane but Jeane seem not recognize her) > 1 > 2 > 3(she know Apple).
BTW suikoden game timeline = 4>5>1>2>3.

And honestly, it feels so horrible to see how the series ended Shepard in Mass Effect 3. I remember crying over it, haha.
And yeah, I learned about Eiyuden Chronicles a few months back, and I couldn't be happier. I saw all their contents on Kickstarter and it looks very promising. Back them up a little and hope the production goes well and smoothly. Can't wait to be able to play it, hopefully they released it not only on consoles :)

It is like with castlevania, the makers cannot call it castlevania anymore so they call it bloodstained. But in the end they continued for the love of the fans of those series. As far as I heared it will be released for console and also on pc, but don't know if there will be physical copies.

We still don't know the possessors of true Change & circle rune. Nor the secrets of the Sindars. Mysteries and past lives of Jeane, Yuber, Viki, Zerase, or Leknaat. This is an incomplete game and we've been at this petition for over a decade now, I demand a new release and continuation of Suikoden games in Ps4 or Ps5 to come! We have seen nothing on Ps3😢

ive always been interested in the remaining true runes. as well as the 3 runes that still havent been fully talked about (circle 8fold and change.) not only this but there has been one factor that ive always been interested in. all runes are born from the 27 true runes. with each passing suikoden game there has been several new runes added in. there are also runes that are character Unique (only 1 character thru the series has them, im not going thru all of them.) but then in the shops they have many additional runes. lots of status changing runes like boost, killer, magic, multi strike, crazed, wall, knight, as well as the prosperity and fortune, etc etc etc. there are also runes that are "weapon" unique. like runes that 1h swords can use, runes that axe users can use. runes that bow users can use. boomerang. etc etc. then other runes still that are more inserted just for the specific game play. like sound, window, and holy for run speed. i havent even mentioned the battle "animal" runes like boar and falcon and viper that are unique attacks. none the less. with all these weird runes, what are their true runes? we still have 9 unaccounted Trues so there are still many things that can be created. i even wonder what the ressurection rune came from. some people think its the night rune or moon rune or possibly even the soul eater since its the "life and death" rune (the darkness rune came from it obviously.) for sure tho one thing i didnt like is how they handled the pre suikoden 1 games.....all these runes that are in suikoden 4 and 5 that are pre time line dont exist in suikoden 1. obviously cuz they improved as they created them in their order but chronologically its still annoying. suikoden 1 and 2 are definately in need of a remake just on this reason alone.

i believe Rune of Punishment is among the strongest true runes.. together with Sun Rune, Dragon Rune, Rune of Change, Night Rune, (Complete) Gate Rune (if fused again together both parts..), Circle Rune, Life and Death, Rune of Beginning (also if complete, if its separate parts back fused again..) and Sovereign (as it has the power to cancel some other kinds of powers of\from other runes..).. not that the others aren't strong, specially True Fire, Beast, Eightfold, Moon etc.. but those others mentioned before (these) are, or must be, the shit.
You forgot that the Rune of Punishment has 2 forms where the rune will take the life-force of the host in it forgiveness stage

Did Hugo really get a chance to hold the true lightning rune? I'm pretty sure it was always Geddoe's rune in the first place.
In Suikoden III, you can choose to give the True Fire Rune to Hugo, Geddoe or Chris.
If you give it to Hugo, then Geddoe keeps the True Lightning and Chris gets the True Water.
If you give it to Chris, then Geddoe keeps the True Lightning and Hugo gets the True Water.
If you give it to Geddoe, then Hugo gets the True Lightning and Chris gets the True Water.
Anyway, Geddoe can never get True Water and Chris can never get True Lightning. Only Hugo can potentially get any of the three.
The cannon story wants Hugo to get Fire, Geddoe to keep Lightning and Chris to get Water though.

In Suikoden 1? Yuber n Pesmerga were a story which I wanted to be mainlined as well as Clive's story as well. You left out the true runes make theirv owners sort of immortal immune to aging over time.

It's a shame we'll never get resolution to the Rune Saga of Suikoden. Even if we do get any new games in the future, however unlikely, Konami has all but abandoned that timeline for some inexplicable reason in exchange for the multiverse of sub par spin offs. RIP Suikoden.

Hopefully a lot of people purchase the Remake of Suikoden 1 & 2; maybe it'll give Konami a kick in the @ss to make Suikoden 6.
We have 18 out of 27 discovered so far; still 9 more to go and most likely 2 games more worth of content.

The suikoden original maker is not partt of namco now and they made a new game for now and resemblace theur suikoden.
As hyped as I am for Eiyuden Chronicle, I wish they could just finish out this universe. There are runes we know about and haven’t seen and runes we don’t know at all. There’s an entire continent we know about but have no idea what’s going on over there. Part of my wishes that Sony buys Konami and rabbit and bear so they can call it suikoden 6 the eiyuden chronicle.

I wish Suikoden series would be continued. Such a great concept and world. Suikoden 3 and 4 are on the weak side, but the others especially 2 and 5 are brilliant.

3 Had the potential to be great, but splitting the story between the three characters the way they did made it much harder to get invested and immersed in any one of them, and really hurt the game overall IMO.
Should've just had you pick 1 of them at the start and stay with them.
@@planescaped Agreed. It would have given the game more replay value by incentivizing you to play the other character's routes to get more of the story, and effectively reduced the overwhelming amount of back tracking.

@@silentecho92able Multiple characters with intertwined stories wasn't a new thing when Suikoden 3 did it as you pointed out. Seiken Densetsu 3 had done it on the SNES/Super Famicom and one of the best early implementations was Rudra no Hihou also on the SNES/Super Famicom. With all the love and attention being given to RPGs from the 90s I'm surprised Square-Enix hasn't brought Rudra to America in an official capacity. They just gave Live A Live a Western release and it has some of the multiple character aspects. Each character's story is separate in Live A Live until they all meet up, unlike Suikoden 3, Rudra, Seiken Densetsu 3 where all the stories are intertwined and you can see the same events, but from different characters' perspectives.

The two most dangerous true tunes for the living is the rune of punishment where it kills the host & then the soul eater where it kills people & devours their souls that are involved with the runes bearer... Doesn't the Eight Fold Rune make an appearance in suikoden 1 when yuber summons the massive army of demons? And also, he does regularly teleport. I suppose neither of those really constitutes an appearance of the rune, but they certainly were displays of the rune's power.

Cracked Theory: Hikusaak would have been the protagonist of one of the games, or at least one of his clones.
Actually there's one theory that stated that Hikusaak is a hero himself in the like of Tir/Riou. He rise up againts an empire, with 108 warriors, gain a true rune (circle rue), won, and created a new empire (Harmonia). But then the curse of the rune came and he became what we know now.

I had a concept or two to throw out.
Hear me out.
In 1 the imprisoned elf had the true rune that gave him unmatched speed.
In 2/3 Jeane had a charm or something like that rune, even if wrong she definitely has one.
But in 5 there was the young woman who you took to the Sindar Ruin after Jeane went there I believe she was related to resurrection but this is just my thought on it.
Pesmerge from 1 who actively hunted Yuber is another factor to think on, and if you include Viki and her time travel and age since she knows of people and things she shouldn't.
So in my opinion I believe there should at least be three more true runes, 5 if we stretch. Now some of them could maybe be a child rune butin regard to Viki, Jeane and the speedster that shouldn't be the case.
The speedster is stallion who is an elf archer. I just put his speed down to some natural speed he had, but just decided that the game just wanted to give him a rune as a demonstration of his ability. Bit like the monsters you can recruit like the griffin etc, Definately agree re Viki, Yuber and Pesmerge and unsure on Jeane. Really hope for more games and/or remakes though lol

It a rune unique to them but yet to be proven/stated that they're a True Rune. But it would be super cool if it is revealed that they're the bearer of True Runes. Both of them are in all eras.
Those were never stated to be true runes. The video uses the lore and facts given in the game, it doesn't use theories.
The night rune was destroyed according to the sword because it could talk and the sword itself post to been reborn from that rune...
I believe Zerase is the original bearer of Night rune.. because she know everything about sun rune and night rune.

Viki has a Blinking Rune and Jeane has a Charm Rune, both of which are considered to be normal rune. It has been hinted that Jeane is nonhuman while Viki is traveling through time.
Michael Salvahan never considered Jeane to be a non human. But what race though ?

Of the 78 card deck of the Chinese Tarot, 22 of them are known as the Triumphs, Major Arcana, or Higher Arcana. They are allegorical representations of aspects of our world typically used to predict one’s destiny and in a way alter fate. In the case of the World of the 27 True Runes the 5 elements are added to these Major Arcana. Every Major Arcana also has two sides, a divinatory and reverse meaning which so far fits with what we know of True Runes. Every Suikoden story follows the unending struggle between Dharma and Chaos as the True Runes conflict with each other. Let’s start at the beginning.
00 - THE FOOL - The Rune of Beginning (Bright Shield & Black Sword)
The source of all Shield Runes and possibly equipment defense/offense and “Experience” itself
(Some would argue Sword Runes like Sword of Cyclone and Sword of Rage are descended from Black Sword, but none of those five possess Flash Judgment or Twinkling Blade so it makes more sense that the Five Elemental Swords are properties of the Five Elemental True Runes. I think we have yet to see a true child of the Black Sword)
The Fool, in China, is seen as comic, but he is also a kind and honorable person. It signifies Potential, Self-Knowledge, and Pure Adventure, but it can also represent Impulse, Poor Judgment, and Hard Life Lessons. The “Initial Birth of Chaos” and the “Power to Judge War” are referred to by Leknaat during different endings of Suikoden II. The Fool is without a number either appearing at the beginning or end of the deck depending on the edition making it the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. If we interpret “judge” as forming a conclusion, this fits perfectly with beginning and ending conflicts of Chaos and Dharma.
01 - THE MAGICIAN - True Magic Rune
The possible source of Wizard/Magical Runes, Boundary & Barrier Runes, Alert Runes, and Magic Rune Pieces
The Magician represents the ability to achieve goals through talent, strategy, or available tools. In the reverse it is representative of Ineptitude, Delay, and using one’s talents for Destructive Ends. Apart from the innate power present in each rune, the Magic and Magic Defense Statistics for each individual will determine its effect when casting and receiving attack spells. This True Rune could be responsible for not only magic enhancing/deflecting runes, but also the existence of the Magic & Magic Defense Stats themselves.
02 - THE HIGH PRIESTESS - Rune of Sight, the All-Seeing Eye
The possible source of Window Runes, Bucket Runes, and Window Sets
The High Priestess deals with Secrets, and Occult Wisdom; in the negative it represents Shortsightedness and Ignorance. This one in particular is special because it deals with an aspect of Suikoden that breaks the 4th wall. The characters inside of the World of the 27 True Runes cannot see the “Windows” that these sets refer to, only the player can. A True Rune such as this could grant its bearer the ability to see beyond superficial knowledge and monitor the world as the player does.
03 - THE EMPRESS - Rune of the Gate (Front Gate & Back Gate)
The source of Blue/Pale Gate Runes, and possibly Conqueror [Black] Runes
(You could argue that the Rune of the Gate should be The Chariot, but that place belongs to the parent of divine transportation runes. You could also argue that the Blinking Rune should be considered a child, but once again that rune fits more closely with divine transportation than with entering and exiting the World of Emptiness)
Creativity, Progress, and Generative Forces may seem like an odd pairing with Runes that summon monsters from the World of Emptiness, but it also brings a loved one back from the past; The Empress is typically depicted alongside a Phoenix which famously rises from the ashes in a similar manner. The reverse meaning of the life-giving mother is one of Feminine Manipulation. The “Watcher of the Balance” keenly guides the fate of nations to prosperity while the other half creates conflict through the corruption of mind control.
04 - THE EMPEROR - The Sovereign Rune
The possible source of Turtle, Parent Turtle, and Champion Runes
This is one that is an easy fit. The Empress’ counterpart represents Worldly Power, Authority, and Indomitable Spirit, but also Immaturity, Tyranny, and War-Making Tendencies. The True Rune of Absolute Rule also transforms into a Golden Dragon which has long been a representation of Chinese Emperors’ authority.
05 - THE HEAVENLY MASTER (Hierophant, Pope) - The Dragon Rune
The possible source of Chameleon, Angry Dragon, Fire Lizard, Fire Dragon, and Spreading Flame Runes
The Pope is a Dragon? No. If we were to reference the European Tarot it could be linked to the epic tale of King Arthur wherein the Sword of Power, Excalibur, was part of “The Dragon” which was the source of Merlin’s power linking the health of the King to the Health of the Land. However, we are basing this on the Chinese Tarot wherein the Heavenly Master is Master Chang Tao Ling the first great teacher of Taoism. “The power that tears the sky apart” depends on strong willpower and clarity of thought to summon and control Dragons. It can tap into the power of the elements (such as fire, ice, and lightning breath) and link the heaven and earth. The Heavenly Master represents Clarity, Ritual Behavior, and Mercy; on the negative side it embodies Outdated Thinking, Vulnerability, and Foolish Generosity.
06 - THE LOVERS - Rune of Unity
The possible source of Charm, Phero, Nymph, Friendship, Kindness, Hate, and Red Rose Runes
If there is such a thing as Karma in the World of the 27 True Runes this is the source of it. The Lovers represent Love, Beauty, and Perfection, and in the reverse Distrust, Separation, and Uncertainty. Jeane may not bear a True Rune, but there certainly is a source for it, and those like it.
07 - THE CHARIOT - True Rune of Divine Transportation
The possible source of Gale, Holy, True Holy, Haziness, Godspeed, Blinking Runes, Balloon, Speed Rune Pieces, The Art of Far-Moving, and Speed & Evasion itself.
The Chariot represents Victory, Travel, and Escape; in reverse it is Recklessness, and Failed Plans. Since Viki’s Blinking Rune replaces what would normally be an airship or teleport pad in an RPG it has more to do with transport than with accessing other dimensions; it is for that reason that I would put it in this category instead of with the Gate.
08 - STRENGTH (justice) - True Skill Rune
The possible source for Slash (Flash), Isshin, Titan, Ogre, Pixie, Full Moon, Mallet, Trick, Mischief, Twin Ring, Medicine, Spider-Slay Runes, Skill Rune Pieces, Skill/Technique itself
Justice and Strength are reversed in different editions of Tarot. In a way they are interchangeable, and both True Runes dealing with them will depend on Skill/Technique. The Skill statistic determines your accuracy and counterattack. Strength represents Courage, Defiance, Action; in the reverse it is Impotence, Sickness, and Abuse. These [mostly] command runes are all associated with specific skills without effects or association with animal-style martial arts.
09 - THE HERMIT - Rune of Solitude
The possible source of Firefly, Great Firefly, and Skunk Rune, and perhaps Gravity itself
This category would encompass attraction runes that have no Karmic tie. The Hermit represents Isolation, Prudence, and Counsel, and in the reverse Regression, Dullness, and Poor Advice. This could also be the source of Gravity for the world which we can assume is round due to the existence of a horizon.
10 - WHEEL of FORTUNE - Rune of Chance
The possible source of Fortune, Prosperity, Hunter Runes, Technique Runes, Fortune Rune Pieces, and Luck itself
The Wheel of Fortune unites the four aspects of heaven, Seiryu the Dragon, Genbu the Tortoise, Suzaku the Phoenix, and Byakko the Tiger. It represents Good and Bad Luck, Culmination, and Inevitability. This Rune is what makes Chinchirorin possible.
11 - JUSTICE (strength) - True Combat Rune
The possible source of Counter, Killer, Knight, Steel, Strike-Back, Multi-Strike, Double-Beat, Double-Edged,
Crazed, Exertion, Wall, Boost, and Warrior Runes, and Defense Rune Pieces, and [Physical] Defense, [Physical] Strength itself
Justice, Virtue, and Honor are represented by this card; Bias, Bigotry, and Intolerance in the reverse. These are all Effect Runes that depend on Skill/Technique as well as a possible source for Defense and Strength of the physical variety unlike what the Shield and Sword provide.
12 - THE HANGING GHOST (condemned man) - Rune of Punishment
Source of Condemnation Runes
All the associations are fairly straightforward from this point on so I will write less for categories such as this.
13 - DEATH - Rune of Life and Death, Soul Eater
Source of Darkness Runes
14 - TEMPERANCE - The Circle Rune
The possible source of Down, Balance, Banshee and Sylph Runes
Moderation, Harmony, Excess, and Conflict of Interest are represented in this card. Sounds like the Circle Rune to me.
15 - THE DEVIL - The Beast Rune
The possible source of numerous animal command runes, Violence, Waking, Fury, Howling Runes, animal control runes Groundhog, Kangacorn, and Giant Owl, and transformation runes like Rabid Fang, and Beast [Ernst’s] Rune
This card represents humankind’s animalistic desires. It represents Sexual Bondage, Addiction, and Malevolence; its reverses are positive like Ambition, Confronting our Dark Side, and Sexual Release.
16 - THE TOWER - Rune of Change
The possible source of Journeyman Crystals, Spark Rune
I have heard many people argue for a True Rune of Time, there is no need, I believe the Rune of Change to be that Rune because, what is time really other than a property of distance and decay, or “Change that affects us all”. The Sindar people were cursed to constantly run their course in one area and move onward until they reached the Eternal City. This card deals with aspects like Complete and Sudden Change, Abandoning Past Relationships, and Severing Friendships.
17 - THE STARS - The Night Rune
The source of the Star Rune, and possible Sleep, Comet, and Resurrection Runes
You could argue that Resurrection Runes care an aspect of Soul Eater being the other side, but considering where they are found and what they are used for, the Night Rune seems much more likely.
18 - THE MOON - The Moon Rune, Blue Moon
The possible source of Drain, Magic Drain, Dryad, Wrath, Poison, Ripple, and Venom Runes
All the runes that sap strength and corrupt the body. The Moon is a pale reflection of the Sun.
19 - THE SUN - The Sun Rune
The source of the Dawn & Twilight Runes, possibly Sunbeam Runes
It’s the Sun.
20 - JUDGMENT (Confucius) - Eightfold Rune, Hachifusa
The possible source of Clone Runes
There is a story about Yatsufusa and the origins of the 8 virtues of Confucianism so it is very fitting that the Eightfold Rune rest in this slot. Why the Clone Rune? When we finally get a look at Yuber’s abilities in Suikoden III, what does it look like to you?
21 - THE WORLD - True Wave Rune
The possible source of Sound, Silence, Jongleur, DoReMi, Listening Crystals, and Sound Sets
Another category that breaks the 4th wall at times being that the SFX are for the player and not for the character to hear.
22 - LIGHTNING - True Lightning Rune
The source of all Lightning, Thunder, Sword of Thunder, and possibly White Saint Runes
23 - WATER - True Water Rune

Nanami's life or death is connected to making a response quick before the message box disappears. In order to determine if she is alive, the doctor will call flik or maybe viktor( dont remeber who) after nanami is declared dead by doc
