The unmistakable sound of the Cure at their purest, IMO one of their best tracks
This song defined my teens. I was miserable, dark, unhappy but i did tap me foot to a good tune...somberly 😂
Total vibe song. The Cure moved away from the ambient goth sound over the course of their next few albums, but picked it back up again as the decade wore on. My little brother was so into The Cure back then that he wore his hair like Robert Smith. I remember one time when my parents dragged him along to visit me in college and we all took a trip to the mall together, where a bunch of school girls mistook him for Robert Smith. "Let's Go to Bed" was the first song of theirs that I remember hearing on the radio back when, but only because I tuned into the college radio station in my town rather than the rock station I usually listened to. "Close to Me" was the first song of theirs that I remember hearing on a pop station back then. It took them some time to break through in the US.
This is my favorite Rock Band. They have a fantastic catalog of albums.
This was more than 40 years ago one of the first albums I had. I think it was a birthday present together with my first record player (you know vinyls…). Thank you for giving me the feeling of listening to it for the first time.
Bro im so used to your hip hop reactions. Mindblown you’re reacting to the cure!!! I love it!
Glad I began expanding my horizons.
Highly recommend Charlotte Sometimes, Cold and Lament.
The cure's compilation album is one of my favorite albums to listen to while riding a bike on a cloudy day...
Keep digging these guys are worth it.
Amazing band all real instruments played live.
I spent too much time smoking weed and listening to the cure, the pixies, blind melon, and tons of other vibe type bands from the 80s and 90's lol.
This wasn't even my era of music. The music is just so chill tho.
Shoutout to the Flaming Lips too. They are so absurdly chill.
Shannon Hoon was a one of a time talent.
I listened to the Cure Faith SO much.
For me there is nothing like that chill.
I love this song.
one of the greatest bands to ever form
give siouxsie and the banshees a listen( band robert smith the singer/guitarist of the cure was briefly a member of from 1982-1984)
The most influential song in the entire post-punk scene
your right this song was the Cure when they were dark and atmospheric their best song without doubt .
Unknowable.
Japan, Joy Division, Wire, Gary Numan, OMD, Simple Minds, Brian Eno?
Maybe you're right to the degree that Black Sabbath was the first metal song (it was xd).
@@fuckamericanidiot r those the song titles u listed here?
I love this song by them. Great song request and enjoyable reaction.❤️✌️
This is my favorite song by The Cure. It's an album for the night... I've listened to it a lot. I like your selection, your reactions and your style. I subscribe!
The Cure, and Robert Smith are amazingly talented musicians. I highly recommend "Why Can't I Be You"; "Friday I'm In Love"; "Just Like Heaven"; "Let's Go To Bed"; "Lullaby"; and "Love Song"; and "Love Cats".
Yes Lullaby!
On of the greatest songs ever
17 Seconds is the album, my first CD back in 1986 and cost £14.99 at the time. One heck of an album. Play for today is sublime.
This song when performed live was always the high point of any show. If you've been Cured enough said.
"I hear her voice
Calling my name
The sound is deep
In the dark"
Ohh you must check out Lullaby for Halloween
Yes, c'est vrai.
The cure is atmosphere
I think the song is about the experience of someone in a search party looking for a lost little girl in the forest as night approached.
I so appreciate you not interrupting the song as I chilled with you for this moment. Thank you!
Really good band live, very atomospheric
This song in live is very better, grows in intensity.
istg this song is my favourite and it will allways be. I cant describe why I love it this much, but it makes me feel lots and very specific things. I can feel myself in a forest actually.
I am getting my 7" vinyl sleeve of A Forest signed by the original keyboardist Matthieu Hartley.

A lot of their music is New Romantic (not so much 'gothic'). This was I think 1980, quite early -- when they were really experimental. This is very ahead of its time. You hear this kind of sound a lot between 1984 and 1995, not so much 1980. (The Smiths, 1984 is something you might want to check if you like this and want early stuff. Good 1990s' options be Tool and Nine Inch Nails; namely, their song, Hurt.)
🔥🔥🔥🔥
When music to you on a journey to another plane which this song did, Atmospheric and Mystical this song has no conclusion a true masterpiece.
Can you do a reaction to Wishing Well and Sign Your Name by Terence Trent D’Arby
