    i just thought of a tip that you can use for future pine cone ornaments is to add glitter to the pine cone. I thinl it would add a very nice touch and it would look very pretty. This idea is a great project idea and an artsy way to decorate your tree.

    I used to make these as a kid. But where I come from, pine cones hang with the wider edge on the tree. You told us how to make them up side down.

    Great tip re the pins! I used to always put pins in my mouth when quilting-until I started having nightmares that I had swallowed one! Yep...don’t that anymore!

    Mathew I use regular straight pins. Appliqupe are just too tiny
