Update: This ribbon did NOT work well, it frayed too easily and kept pulling out of the pins. I would suggest using a slightly stiffer ribbon that will hold together better!

What are the dimensions of that little piece of cardboard? And how many pieces of ribbon should you cut?
For 7/8 inch wide ribbon, cut the ribbon pieces at 1 3/4 inches. That's what I done in the past and it works well.

What is the length and width of your cardboard. You said in one of your other comments that is was 2 1/2 inches long but it looks like the width is 2inches or smaller. I just purchased the material you requested and got 7/8 ribbon. If you could help that would be great. Great video easy to follow and hope to make my own soon. Thanks again
You didn't tell us how wide your card.Board is to how wide to make the ribbon.I haven't got a clue how wide to make the ribbon you didn't tell us

It really depends on the size/width of ribbon you use but I think this one is about 2.5 inches long

Very pretty, but I can see total disaster if a family cat or dog gets their paws on it and is injured or worse by chewing it up.
