Hi!! I just found your video and for the first time I made no sew Christmas Ornaments and I really like making them , now I would like to make these pine cone ornaments. Thank u for your video.
I'm going to try this with crafting (scrapbook) paper. I'll take a picture when I finish and send it to you. May be a good alternative if you have crafting paper that's not being used, like do. Might be nice also with plain brown craft paper died with coffee or burning the edges, maybe adding a jute or raffia bow to give it a rustic look. Thank you so much for sharing your childhood craft with us!
What is the length and width of your cardboard. You said in one of your other comments that is was 2 1/2 inches long but it looks like the width is 2inches or smaller. I just purchased the material you requested and got 7/8 ribbon. If you could help that would be great. Great video easy to follow and hope to make my own soon. Thanks again
The cardboard size is 2.5 inches to make the ribbons. This will vary (along with the amount needed) with the width of the ribbon you use and the size of your pinecone.
Pretty close! The ribbon is generally around 1 inch and the cardboard size length is 2.5 inches to make the ribbons. This will vary with the width of the ribbon you use and the size of your pinecone.

What are the dimensions of that little piece of cardboard? And how many pieces of ribbon should you cut?

2.5l ? 0.0w?
For 7/8 inch wide ribbon, cut the ribbon pieces at 1 3/4 inches. That's what I done in the past and it works well.
Thank you!
Nice thank you for sharing

I've made these for years, but I use 1" square paper folded in the same manner. I like the ribbon just as much.

Очень красиво, но не рассыпается ли вскоре?
The pins help keep the ribbon in place and it just depends on what kind of ribbon you use, this one frayed alot so I only made one using this ribbon

Very pretty, but I can see total disaster if a family cat or dog gets their paws on it and is injured or worse by chewing it up.
Not for me.
