An often overlooked hanger for crafted ornaments is lightweight fishing line. Just thread through a needle with a large enough eye and punch through fabric and you have an invisible hanger that helps to make your ornament look like it is floating.

Last Christmas I made these for family members using clean old shirts and ties of my husband. He passed in August 2022. Family members were overjoyed to have them for the holiday and remember him during the holidays. Some of the ties had metallic thread which helped to make the ornaments look more festive for the holiday,

This was a lot of fun to make. I did have a bit of confusion as to how to turn the points to glue them, so I researched it and noticed a sort of flip so that the opposite top side makes the point. Whew! Then I made one to figure out how the colors mix, it is very tricky. Probably most people would notice that little flip and turn, but it for some reason was not natural to me 🌝. Really fun video and I have a really pretty tree topper as I made it in a 12 inch size, and a smaller one at 6 inches.

I made one of these for an ornament exchange at work and one for a great friend at work. They turned out great. After Christmas day, but while my tree was still up I made some for myself. I also cut some squares down to 5in. Took me a few minutes to do the math for the strips and actually ended up with an extra strip. Live the smaller size. I Love Your Tutorials.

When gluing the two sides together you are supposed to pull the "arm" piece down so that there is nothing to cut off. this creates a slite tension in the middle woven pieces that gives the snowflake some volume in the middle.

A while ago you adapted a Christmas star usually made of paper into a fabric star using this technique. I took your idea and two years ago I did these snowflakes/stars exactly like this!! They are still intact and looking great. I decorated some of them with beads and rhinestones. Gave many away as package toppers to be used later as ornaments!! I was wondering why you didn't have a video like this. Thanks for this idea to adapt paper crafts to fabric using heat and bond. I will do some Scandinavian hearts next.

Love tutorials. Do not care for your acrylic nails. They are distracting and the french manicure is in the way of your camera view.
Sorry for being a negative responder but I'm being honest. Will still follow you of course.
