When all the elites in a society care about is profit profit profit, society starts breaking down. The question hasn't been "what's best for America" for MY ENTIRE LIFETIME, and I'm almost 40! All these people care about is earning enough money to insulate themselves from the hell they've created for the rest of us. Everything has been screwed over due to profit seeking behavior. Education, health care, even PRISON. Every penny they can possibly squeeze out of us has been prioritized over the well being of the country and its citizens and we're seeing the results of that. This country has been screwed from the second Reagan won his first election!

The public option? The republicans and Joe Lieberman killed it in Obamas first term.
There will be no "public option" ever, unless the democrats get 60+ seats in the senate and the majority in the house. And that's dependent on what kind of democrats are elected.

Let's be honest, Biden ran to stop Bernie from winning as did all the other dem candidates in the primary. We all saw how they were talking the same talk as Bernie to confuse voters, then drop out and rally around Biden as the "most electable" against Trump. Now democrats don't actually care if they lose because it's not really a loss for them. As long as they keep a progressive candidate out of the executive chair, that's all that really matters.

I wasn't met with a lot of understanding. In fact the discussion started out with me laying clear why people refuse to vote for Biden, and then someone calling me "fucking stupid" for commenting that. Gaza is pretty much what going to end biden. His whole voters ask him simple to change his policy on Gaza and he rejected them with cold face in exchange for the AIPAC money. It seems like the democratic party doesn't bring their best. Trump is still worse but both are becoming equally worse now

Oh yeah. Remember when he got bullied by Joe Manchin and Kristen Sinema on policy that would actually help people that aren’t the upper echelon. Remember when he passed a bill that cracked down on the use of P2P payment apps to ensure the taxation of the side hustles of the low and middle class salary ranges. He’s got a list of shit that people’s wallets are remembering now too.
