The judge advised that the jury need not and they were not, unanimous in their decision. This is an easy dismissal at appeal as it stands, because SCOTUS already ruled against doing this since it is unconstitutional.
Furthermore, the media are running headlines bragging about how Trump is the first POTUS to be convicted. I am not sure they appreciate that this undoes the January 6th rhetoric and other criminal allegations that they have already convicted him of in headlines.
This has given Trump 2024 when the case gets overturned and people have to ask why? They will then see what happened in the case. Almost corrupt level bias.

Here in the United States, that is free speech protected by the First Amendment. However, if he were to denigrate members of the jury or impugn their character or reputation, or make comments that could reasonably be expected to endanger the judge's family or court staff, that would not be protected by the First Amendment, and he would be legally liable
