- Attendees of this year’s White House Correspondents Dinner-an event honoring journalists and the free press-were met with anti-war protesters reminding them about the journalists in Gaza killed by Israel. We’ll talk about the protesters as well as the comments made by Biden and comedian Colin Jost in this video.

Absolutely true, but the alternative is dependence on the State, which will have it's own things they must ignore. At least with local news, up until so many local outfits got bought up, the motivating pressure wasn't coming from giant corporations, but from the local public.

I will not be voting for "the lesser evil" as "the lesser evil" is nothing like Biden. Nor will I be voting for the party in power either.

We talk a lot about leadership choosing to be on the right or wrong side of history. I'm just shocked that so many journalists, who write the first draft of that history, are choosing to be on the wrong side. I don't expect them to all be pro Palestinian, but not even acknowledging the war crimes being live streamed every single day is sick. We SEE it with our own eyes and we see YOU choosing to ignore it. Not acknowledging the deaths of so many of their colleagues is just depraved.

That event was what first got me started watching Colbert, and honestly, the bootlicking of this year is pathetic and an insult to every comedian who has used that platform to take the shots they can at the powerful.

There was another woman from Codepink, who also made in into the hotel. She was wearing a shirt, that said "Tell the truth about Gaza" and was kicked out because of that. There's a video about it on their yt page.
These politicians stood by and glfelt good about themselves for congratulating journalists, the same journalists they ignored when police attacked them at these Pro-Palestinian protests and Black Lives Matter protests.
Imagine being at an event like this, someone gives a "heartfelt" speech about you and their best compliment is to call you "a decent person." I guess being called 'mid' is too on the nose for these folks

When I heard Colin Jost was going to be the comedian I knew that it wasn’t going to be a roast so much as a lukewarm cup of tea. 😐
To anyone that hasn't watched it, I highly recommend Michelle Wolf's correspondence dinner roast. She was absolutely brutal and didn't hold any punches, and it's pretty funny. Sad to see bootlicking and subservience to the establishment.

I like to remind people that in 2022 ISrael destroyed AP office in Gaza, no one got hurt because for once they did call and warn, but when I see AP running headlines in favor of Israel I am just always amazed about how you can support a country that literally threaten you because of your reporting.

2. Forgave student loans... for less than 5% of the amount of borrowers he promised.
3. Extended child tax credit... which then expired.
4. Promising "police reform"... then saying "Fund the police" during his State of the Union speech.
5. "Build Back Better" Infrastructure package... including little to nothing for environmental protection and is basically a handout to corporations.
6. Saying Trump's border and immigration policies are "cruel"... just to extend Trump's cruel border and immigration policies.
7. Saying he will promote far more global security and 'Merica's world standing than Trump... then being outflanked from the left by Regan by blindly and unconditionally suppprting Isreal's genocide in Gaza and the Saudi's genocide in Yemen with direct arms sales.
8. Saying he would protect woman's bodily autonomy... then failing to codify Roe v Wade before it could be overturned, solely for the purpose of having something to campaign on.
9. Promising better and more comprehensive Covid action... only to say that Covid is "over".
10. Promising to not actively destroy democracy, and telling a room full of the world's richest CEO's that, "Nothing will fundamentally change", and running a reelection campaignon solely on the idea that he's "not Trump" ... well actually he did do these last ones. 🤷🏾♂️
