I am so deeply touched by these pet visits and your work. I lost my mom on November 11th, after her 5 year Alzheimer's fight, then my husband on November 13th (yes 2 days later) after his 20 month leukemia fight. I was so blessed to have my sweet ginger lab to come home to, to go on meditative walks and have as my solid when my world was crazy. She asks for so little in return for what she gives me. Pets touch hearts so deeply yet they ask for so little.

I"m grateful that you have your amazing Labrador puppy to comfort you . I lost my beloved kitty, Laney, on Dec,15 after 11 years together. I rescued her when she was 6 and she became my best fiend for all those years. Our furry babies are truly a treasure!!!

She’s so well taken care of that she is obviously loved by someone. Pets get out accidentally during the holidays, I would be shocked if her owner isn’t desperate to find her. Hopefully sharing her story on social media will help get her home.🙏🏻💕🐾🐾
So many people are unemployed and broke or in the world of drugs so can't take care of these pets. These things can happen quickly. Shelters are overwhelmed.
@@americafirst9144 I wish vet offices would take a few extra minutes to sit down with owners and REGISTER THEIR PETS' NEW MICROCHIPS before they leave. If a pet is chipped, that MUST become a routine part of the service. Too many owners don't know how to follow up with the registration process, or put off going online to do it themselves. And backup contact info is a must, even if it's only the vet clinic!

I’m thinking the same thing as most other commenters - she’s so clean and nicely maintained, she must have gotten lost. It’s hard to imagine anyone just dumping her, especially with such a nice disposition.
Her body condition also says she is well taken care of.

Like others, I believe she has a family that is missing her. Giving her reassurance that she is safe and loved is SO important. I know if it were my lost pup, I'd hope that a kind person like Rocky would let her know she will be OK and not to be afraid. What a God-send you are to these poor scared pups. 💞

The dogs with the underbite always make me smile. My last little one, Honey, chihuahua mix, she had an underbite. SO funny. Poppy is just a gorgeous dog, I hope she gets her forever home. If she was mine, and she had been lost, I would be losing my mind!

What a pretty girl!!! Think i could see some of the sadness/scaredness in her eyes go away once she got some pets and then move to the lap. She looks like she has been well taken care of, so maybe she managed to escape/get away from her home and will be united with them. If not, a loving home for her. I have a boxer/pit and she is the best dog ❤❤❤ I fell, broke my neck, was quadriplegic and unable to function for almost 2 years. She never ever left my side. She wasn’t always helping, but she sure thought she was 😂😂😂
Dogs are the only animal which can read the facial expressions of humans.
We owe it to our best friends to always do the same, and take care of ANY and EVERY dog who needs our help - no matter the situation we are in.

Please tell people also, once they are microchipped, you also need to be sure that the chip is properly registered with your contact information. The vet or rescue that places the chip, should be able to help register your information. If that step is not done, the microchip is practically useless.
The rescue actually had to transfer the chip registration (2 dogs) to us and checked to be sure that they are secondary contact on the info, after our contact info was updated.
Your amazing. It warms my heart so much to see these scared dogs warm up to you in such a short few minutes. I pray that her ? Family will come looking for her. She apparently has been loved, so I hope. If not, you will find her forever home. Thank you Rocky for all that you do.
She doesn't appear to have been on the streets very long. she looks well groomed and very healthy weight so hopefully, fingers crossed she is just lost and her family is looking for her. this is why microchips are so crucial. all my boys are chipped, and more impotantly registered and kept up to date then should they go astray which i consider extremely rare, we can be reunited when found.

It seems to me that if the dog with whom you are sitting seems nervous, when you start to talk to one of the shelter employees it takes pressure off the dog. He can watch you interact with someone else, watch you without being watched, takes the pressure off him and makes him feel more comfortable with you.

I lost my almost 11yr old boxer the week before Christmas (cancer). I wish I wasn't in IL and we knew more about her personality (kids, cats, dog friendly).

My cousin has a dog who has always been VERY scared of people, and with my aunt passing away this may, it's made her fear worse as my aunt was working with her. i apply what you have taught me about sitting with dogs when I see her and she is getting better!

OMG!! I just started watching this channel and I LOVE this. I'm an all animal lover even the ones under our oceans. I'm a retired scuba diver so I've seen many creatures under water. Rocky, you have a wonderful spirit and it shows through your vids. You have over four million subs... Beautiful Boxer mix Lady ! Somebody will love this lovely, sweet lady to be part of their family. I had a Male Boxer who was just the best dog, he used to play with my nieces and nephew and my neighbors kittens. He was very " Cat Like " Good luck Poppy 💖💗💞
