I had a cat (which I befriended in our neighborhood) act a bit like this once durin a thunderstorm. But I don't think I've seen a animal act like that before.
Used in Dog Fighting by the looks. Tied Up Defencelessly & attacked by others Dogs Would do that to him 😭 (Scars & his Nose r Sure Signs of it & the intense Fear, of course) 😠

I have a couple of rescues that had behavioral issues on par with this (although not exactly the same). One lived rough without human contact for the first 18 months of her life; the other was rescued from the Korean dog meat industry. So the cause of the dog in the video's fear could be as simple as unfamiliarity with humans (neglect could do this too) or as extreme as being caged up as livestock.

Lmao I knew a dog who was so terrified of everyone because a door shut loud one day 😂 I knew a dog who farted and had to be on prosac. I knew of a dog who wouldn’t eat or move because it rained 2 days before. Like dogs are very very dramatic 😂
I don't know what this dog has been thru or not been thru. I know my sister's Dog who she raised and spoiled is terrified of everything. That dog has never been beaten in his life. Sometimes fear just grabs you for no reason.
I'm happy to say that I Cannot imagine what it would take to bring an animal to this level! But whatever it was I sincerely hope that the person who brought this kind of terror upon this animal is haunted by their actions for the rest of their lives!!!

Kindness really isn't a thing anymore that people care about. Kindness is in a few of us. You can't learn it. It just is.
So I sat down and had a beer and a chat with Rafa, my local homeless person begging outside Día ( I live in Torremolinos, Spain) It was 3 Reyes. The parade was on. It was mostly Disney figures. Elsa right behind the Holy Ones. Whatever. A million people and their kids in the streets. For the throwing of caramels.
Nobody and I do mean nobody out of hundreds of passers by gave nothing to a homeless man and his dogs.
I will forever be a collector of souls. My only mission in life is to be kind. Not pretending - but being. No wonder so many give up and stay takers. Turning a blind eye. Well, that too will make the World go blind and if kindness runs out because you don't contribute, who's gonna be kind to you and yours when you need it?
My heart breaks for animals like this. Thank you for your kind patience. Thank you for helping and loving Bruno.

Like most everyone here this brought tears to my eyes. I’m sure lots of others would agree we’d LOVE to see more of Bruno & hopefully him even happier & full of life & love!!❤🐕
We really do not deserve their love and loyalty! The unconditional love of a dog is truly something special!
This is so bittersweet. I'm so glad Bruno found his loving forever family. I rescued a similar fur baby that was mistreated and abandoned in the desert. It took a lot of love and patience but love, walks and other dogs brought her out of it. She gave me 12 wonderful years and I miss her to this day. ❤
I can't recall where I heard it first, but someone said Love, Patience, other dogs is the secret to open the heart of a scared dog. So many stories like this that prove such wisdom true. I can't even imagine how horribly he must have been treated to be so afraid of human beings. May the person who is responsible rot in Hell, and to the foster mom who unlocked his sweet soul, many blessings to you. Long life and happiness to this big sweetheart of a dog.
I too rescued a dog gone thru hell, a 5 yr old Golden Retriever, crated and used for breeding. She was aloof and wary for a few months. It took a long time for her to fully trust. The only problem today is she does not want to go in the car. I know I need to take her on short trips often to win her over to the car.
Sometimes watching these videos makes me feel murderous... what type of person would torture a dog, physically and emotionally, to make them *paralysed* with fear? I cannot imagine what this pup went through. Whoever did this does not deserve to live on this earth. Arrrgh.

People can be very VERY cruel when theres no accountability for it. When someone is allowed to still pretend theyre a good person, because they can justify their behavior (however ridiculous it sounds), it absolves them of both remorse and regret.
Pitbulls, and US male humans, seem to fall to this quite often. Everyone sees them and assums the worst because theyve been brainwashed into expecting it. Society tells them such predjudice is deserved, and allows folks to premptively punish them without reason.
The result is... dogs like this for pitbulls, and the current suicide rate of the men. I guess we should be thankful people and organizations exist who give a damn about dogs like this. But his human equivalent would just be laughed at.

Bruno reminds me of my beautiful foster, Timber. He was kept in a closet while the other dogs in the home had free range and was starved to the point of extreme malnourishment. After a week of having him, he found his voice again and was holding his tail high! It’s been 2 years now and he is happy and healthy in his forever home. All dogs deserve that love and I’m so happy Bruno is getting the love he deserves

Got my Lenny Sept 8, 2018. She was an angry girl. Didn't trust people and went into Cujo mode around other dogs. Now, after 5 plus years of walking her every day ,she was crated every day for the first 4 years. She has become the most loving girl. I'm no trainer, just showed her the LOVE she deserved. That is one of the saddest and happiest clips I have ever seen. His fears absolutely broke my heart. No animal should be that frightened AND have it due to what some “human being” did to him. Just thinking of what he went through to make him that way just takes my breath away and not in a good way and certainly not with sweet and cozy thoughts of his previous “owner” . When are we ever going to take actions against abusers? It can’t be too soon or too harsh. Seeing this dog cowering in fear triggered my own PTSD and I started to tear up and have an anxiety attack. We all need that someone to show us love doesn't have to hurt.

It just melted my heart to see this scared big boy come out of his shell and start woofing and wagging his tail, playing with other dogs, and cuddling up to the person who was caring for him. How anyone can be purposefully mean to these beautiful animals is beyond me. We truly are not worthy of dogs... they are just the sweetest beings.
