You would be perfect for that because you don't have any other pets that could catch contagious diseases. They just need a quiet place while they recover from various sicknesses. And they usually just need a home for 2 weeks or a little more.

LOVE hearing about Grandma and Romeo. My grandparents had a chihuahua for something like 25yrs. He was a stray they took in, so had no info on his age etc. But Boy was always a big part of my life growing up. As Rocky always says "Dogs are AWESOME!"
I had pebbles for 11 years. She was born on Valentine's Day February 14th 2000. We were together for 11 years and she crossed over February 26 2011. I'm still convinced to this day that I was so broken hearted even the sky started to cry and it started to rain. She was 4 inches tall and 4 inches long with a heart the size of a song and I put a bell on her collar so when I couldn't see her I could always hear her. even though she's been gone for 13 years I can still hear her little bell ring and I know she is right by my side. I still love my dog with all my heart and I will for the rest of my Life!!❤️💕❤️
OMG!! The tears started flowing when he started taking the treats!! He’s so much better than when you first walked in. I feel better too. Thank you, Rocky, for all you do for these scared animals…❤️🐶❤️
That sweet, beautiful face … he needs a family desperately. My min pin was left taped up in a box with her puppy. She only weighed 4 pounds, absolute skin and bones, and covered with sores. She is the most loving dog I’ve ever had. How she can trust humans after being starved and abused is just miraculous to me.
All my aninals are spayed or neutered as soon as they are old enough. My husband and I found and re-homed 15 dogs over a five year period. We kept one that no one wanted due to his size. We also found our cat in the dumpster. Thank you for sharing these stories and helping these little one.
We have a dumpster cat, too. Most amazing, loving cat I have ever had. Still very fearful of strangers, especially men, but so loving and affectionate that I don't think I'll ever have such a loving fur buddy again.
@sharoncruzen1942 That's awesome. Unfortunately I lost my husband four years ago but I honor his memory by doing what I can to help our furry friends and I have just opened my home to my first foster dog Harley.
Rocky-your constant chatter in a deep voice while working with these little ones is a great source of comfort to them. It gives a quiet reassuring surrounding in another loud/empty cage. Thanks for your patience and acceptance is so loving for them.
Oh my gosh that poor little one so frightened. What a cutie, those eyes are breaking my heart...I would definitely have picked him up in the parking lot and taken him home.
I just rescued a little barely year-old kitten and she has changed my life completely. I was so alone before he’s taking a while to warm up to me but now she’s stuck on me 12 hours a day! If she’s not eating, playing or popping she curled up next to me!
My son found a small dog in the parking lot of dollar general. He said the clerks said she had been there for weeks they had been feeding her. So he left his name and phone number if someone was looking for her. He brought her home and he showed her to us. She looked like a small Beagle mixed with another small breed. We walked into his house my son told us she had not barked or whined. When I walked in she started crying I felt so sorry for it was like she was crying & trying to tell me what had happened. We all fell in love with this little girl she had a permanent home. We took her our Vet and he estimated she was about 8 years old. We gave her the shots. About 6 years later she had Cancer in her mouth and it was fast growing. Within 2 months the pain seemed unbearable we had to put her to sleep. I grieved a long time about my sweet Katie. She was the sweetest little angel I had ever had. Still missing her.
You rescued her and gave her her best life. My loving Gypsy also had fast growing mouth cancer. Other than that, she was healthy and active. We also eventually had to let her go. Rescues are the best! All our furbabies have been rescues.
What a cutie. Whoever adopts him will be so lucky. Terriers typically have a lot of energy and need exercise and mental stimulation. But they will make you laugh every day. So full of the joy of life.
Oh, my God, I am in tears. The moment he took the first bite from you, and then was willing to start eating from your hand. I am praying for Albert. Thank you for all that you do.
I hate his shaking. I know how bad the little guy feels. His eyes were so sad, & scared, could see the difference not long after he picked him up. Alberta stopped shaking, his eyes were open wide & looking around. I hope someone has given him a loving home.❤ ❤❤
The name Albert means "noble; bright; famous" according to Google. He's famous right now because of this video, and he is going to make someone a fantastic buddy!
I lost my big boy greyhound a few weeks ago and it broke my heart. I’d do ANYTHING to get him back so it really upsets me when I see these stories of beautiful dogs being abandoned. We don’t deserve dogs. They are so much better than us. Dogs never mistreat us, dogs never abandon us, dogs never abuse us. I love seeing the results of the hard work you put into showing these dogs that most people do care. When Rocky tells the dogs that he’s “sorry and you don’t deserve this” and “ you’re a good boy/girl” it gets me every time. 😢😢😢
@@angusvansatriani784 sorry, I should’ve been clearer. He isn’t missing, he was put to sleep, he was old and became very unwell very quickly so it was the right decision to end his pain.
I've worked in greyhound rescue for both Italian greyhounds and ex racers. They are very close to my heart. I'm so sorry for your loss. But after you take time to honor your boy, I am 100% sure you will find there are countless furkids who would love to be by your side 💜
@@violetfemme411 we are 100% adopting another. We currently have another female greyhound and she is affected by it too. She is more clingy and quieter than usual (even for a greyhound). We are grieving my boy but will definitely be rescuing another as soon as the time is right.
" To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world." Thank you for all you do! Thank you for being you. You have a big heart. ❤ 🐕 ❤
@@vtorialyn Saying you love animals more than people does not show you are a caring person like you may have thought... Lol. But nah, surely if you saw a little abandoned orphan boy shaking you'd feel compassion.
@petscraftsandwonderfulthin1279 saying she loves animals more than people doesn't mean she wouldn't feel compassion for a suffering child. Loving animals more than people is a natural response once someone has been in rescue awhile. I know you think you just did something to 'school' her, but really only made it clear you've never immersed yourself in helping animals. People are, more often than not, completely vile. And the sole reason these dogs lose their lives every minute of every day.
@@MG-pj2oo Naturally, I'd choose animals over humans any day too, but it's not right or wholesome. We need to learn how to love our own kind. Humans hating humans and putting ourselves below the animals only makes our problem worse.
Rocky I do not know how you can separate from the dogs you sit with. I would scoop that little black and white dog up in a heartbeat and take him home and love him. I just cry when I see those dogs abandoned and not shown love in their lives up to now. Please someone give this little dog a forever home, I can tell that he is going to be the most faithful, loyal, loving dog ever. I wish I could have him but I am in England!!
This sweet boy will be someone’s best friend and make them so lucky. He looks too clean to be abandoned. But who knows why people do the things they do. Hopefully he’s just lost and the owners are looking for him. Albert’s a doll. ❤️
This dog is so traumatized. He is shaking. What could make people do that do a animal. Omg he is so precious. You did good great job. I dont know how you can leave him😢. I want him so bad.
Poor little guy. He reminds me of our min-pin/chihuahua cross that we adopted about 18 months ago. He shook non-stop, hid under the furniture, and bit both of us out of fear, more than once. It took a while, but he mellowed wonderfully, and has turned into a real sweetheart. Dogs like that aren't for families with kids, though. They need experienced, adult owners. I hope he finds someone who adores him.
That little bit of, "grooming", ie, licking his paw, then stretching his front paw out towards the end, says A LOT! 🤗 I'm not a, "little dog", person, but I'd take him, if I could, because he hit my heartstrings❣😍
Doesn’t seem like he has been treated well to be so scared. I am hoping for a new LOVING family that will be patient with him to bring him out of his fear with love…❤️
You just changed that cutie pie's life. The next person to visit him might not the get 'The Wall of Fear'. Hopefully, he'll just warm right up & melt someone's heart!
I wish Albert was closer to me! He’s exactly what I need after loosing my 14 yr old rescue dog almost 4 years ago. Honey was my companion and friend for 13 years, and I miss her . I’m in the UK, but maybe it’s time I started thinking about a new fur baby. Big hugs To Albert, I hope he finds a great forever home. ❤️
I love this pup but I live in western Pennsylvania and it’s so far away. He’d probably be terrified to travel all that way by plane. Good luck Albert. I know someone closer will scoop you up!🩷
Your patience and gentle caring manner has won this terrified little dog’s trust. The moment he totally accepted you and took a treat made me cry. Thank you for sitting with these wonderful dogs, they feel so lost what ever their stories. They need to be shown that all humans are not callous and there is a lot of love out there. Please God they find the home they deserve.
I know! I hope Rocky took him home with him until he finds his forever home. I could never in a million years walk out of that kennel and leave him there. It’s just too stressful for the little sweetheart 🙏🥰
The moment you said good boy, his eyes changed from frightened pressure to relief ever so slightly. He was like he understood... ok, I'm still scared but I can trust you. He is so sweet.
Whenever you begin to tell the dogs that its not their fault and that they are loved, the world is good and that there are good people who will take care of them it just makes me want to sob because it is so bittersweet. These poor babies that are so frightened and scared deserve to be loved and told how special they are just as anyone or any species does and I love that you say this to them!! Keep up the great work that you do!!
Rocky, once Albert was ready for the scoop you could just see him feel safe & grateful for your love. He relaxed enough to notice he was really hungry. You are probably the first person to gain his trust in a long time. It reminds me of how I adopted my beautiful but terrified little Gracie. I love your ❤ , and I love my Easily Distracted by Dogs Merch! I think you just saved Albert's sweet little life. Thank you for all you do.❤❤❤
I'm going to call him Prince Albert because he seems like a super loyal and loving guy. Maybe he will find his Queen Victoria one day. 🥰❤🐾🐾🥰❤ Prince Albert is so adorable. sweet, and handsome. Those eyes are beautiful. What a cool and precious boy!
You should never leave Albert until he gets adopted! How relaxed he felt in your lap, stopped shivering, taking treats, soooo sweet! 😍 Btw love your new shirt, and the poem made me cry
About 25 years ago. god sent me a dog exactly like Albert. He was sitting on my driveway. He ate 3 cans of food. We called him scruffy boy. I bathed him and took him to the vet. 18 mos. He lived to be 18 years old and was my best friend and I still feel he was an angel. I would give my eye teeth for this little dog. I’m in West Virginia. A long way away. I hope he gets a really good family. He loved baths and brushing. His hair would split in the middle of his back and drop to the floor. He understood and protected far more than dogs should.
I'm a old script writer and I wrote in my story line.Dogs are angels without wings. They come to teach us eight things so we can be better human beings.
Wow that's the longest life I've ever heard of a dog living... You must be a wonderful owner and scruffy boy must have been so happy and loved by you. Amazing... 😍
I had a Scruffy, too, found in freezing cold on Street in NewOrleans. He was one of my best dogs. Our Maggie was like Albert in the shelter workers lap, slated to be euthanized next day - went home with us!

he looks alot like my little dog named Arlo.
I think pulling Albert up against your heart was a game changer. Your lap was definitely his safe space! ❤️
Yes. He realized how much better that felt than the cold wall. ❤🐕
Did Albert get adopted? We would love Albert...forever!!! ❤
marysarah...PLEASE DO🥰
Mary Sarah are you adopting?
😢Me gusta mucho todo lo q haces x ellos es una bendición te pareces a San Francisco de Asv
OMG!! The tears started flowing when he started taking the treats!! He’s so much better than when you first walked in. I feel better too. Thank you, Rocky, for all you do for these scared animals…❤️🐶❤️
Tears flowed twice for me! The poem then taking the treats. I'd take him in a ❤beat, but I live in Kansas ☹️. I shared to my FB newsfeed though!
@@magicatrnYou have my "like" from Poland. Yes, Poland in distance Europe. Hugs from Katowice city, south of Poland 🙂💛🤗.
Yes, you are absolutely right. All the best for you from Poland, Europe.
The tears flow with every one of these videos cause none of these poor soles deserve to be there!! 🙏🏻❤️🐾🐾 They all just want a loving family!!
That’s awesome he took that treat
Thank you so much for sitting with Albert. He's a very Handsome, Strong Boy.❤
What a brilliant name! Haven't watched the whole vid yet (but I'm crying already).
Rocky blows me away with his patience and love and security he shows to these dogs. I’m inspired
Albert was my maternal grandfather's name. They also gave it to my brother. it is a great name @@ac1646
Albert is darling….. you don’t know how many teeth Albert has…
@@suzycue9278 It's okay about his teeth
Oh, Albert. You stole everyone's hearts.
You weren't the only one tearing up, Rocky! What an adorable little guy! 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤
His eyes are so soulful but hes also sad/terrified that is really heartbreaking. Albert is gorgeous and is a good boy.
He is the cutest little dog, horrible that his people just left him.
No wonder he is so scared.
Please get little Albert some more of your treats.
Thanks for your kindness 🤙
That sweet, beautiful face … he needs a family desperately. My min pin was left taped up in a box with her puppy. She only weighed 4 pounds, absolute skin and bones, and covered with sores. She is the most loving dog I’ve ever had. How she can trust humans after being starved and abused is just miraculous to me.
So glad Albert finally found somebody to feel safe and loved and help on his learning to be a puppy again.
You have a beautiful heart. Hugs!!
Thank you helping them! I’ve done the same!
Thank you for doing the work, and loving those 15 re-homed dogs.
That's just incredible.
Most of us just buy the tshirt :)
Have a terrific day!!
@sharoncruzen1942 That's awesome. Unfortunately I lost my husband four years ago but I honor his memory by doing what I can to help our furry friends and I have just opened my home to my first foster dog Harley.
He stopped shaking because he can feel the good and the love from you. X
Rocky-your constant chatter in a deep voice while working with these little ones is a great source of comfort to them. It gives a quiet reassuring surrounding in another loud/empty cage. Thanks for your patience and acceptance is so loving for them.
Rocky is pretty great!
Rocky and all who help, you are saints, keep doing what you do, ❤ Albert
Where are you? How can they be adopted? I live in the state of WASHINGTON.
I swear to God my eyes just rain out when he starts saying these sweet things to this poor little creature. So fragile and beautiful.
Me too!
Oh my gosh that poor little one so frightened. What a cutie, those eyes are breaking my heart...I would definitely have picked him up in the parking lot and taken him home.
Thank heavens someone brought him to the shelter before he was hit by a car or stacked by a large dog. He is such a special baby!!
Dogs have a voice, most people just aren't listening!! Thank you Rocky for amplifying their voice❤
I just rescued a little barely year-old kitten and she has changed my life completely. I was so alone before he’s taking a while to warm up to me but now she’s stuck on me 12 hours a day! If she’s not eating, playing or popping she curled up next to me!
That "random dude" is the giant here. 45 minutes? Only a giant with a giant heart would do that? Bravo!
Oh, Rocky….my heart is breaking (again)….I hope he accepts your love. He has mine.
💜💜💜
💕🙏👌🥰
❤️
You gave her a happy life in her last days you are her angel 💔🙏
You rescued her and gave her her best life. My loving Gypsy also had fast growing mouth cancer. Other than that, she was healthy and active. We also eventually had to let her go. Rescues are the best! All our furbabies have been rescues.
What a cutie. Whoever adopts him will be so lucky.
Terriers typically have a lot of energy and need exercise and mental stimulation. But they will make you laugh every day. So full of the joy of life.
Yes they do I love our rescue Naomi a rescue .she's a wire hair fox breed. I see Jack Russell in Naomi too
Oh, my God, I am in tears. The moment he took the first bite from you, and then was willing to start eating from your hand. I am praying for Albert. Thank you for all that you do.
Breaks my heart to see these little dogs so terrified.
I hate his shaking. I know how bad the little guy feels. His eyes were so sad, & scared, could see the difference not long after he picked him up. Alberta stopped shaking, his eyes were open wide & looking around. I hope someone has given him a loving home.❤ ❤❤
Whoever adopts this little guy is going to be insanely lucky! He’s a winner, just needs lotsa lovin’
The name Albert means "noble; bright; famous" according to Google. He's famous right now because of this video, and he is going to make someone a fantastic buddy!
I love the idea of the fantastic little guy finding his best buddy for best buddy adventures
OMGOODNESS when he ate out of your hand, I lost it. Thank you for your kindness
Poor puppy. The terror in his eyes is heartbreaking. Hope he finds a gentle loving home.
You love to hear your talking. Affraid to be dead after 10 seconds not hearing talking?
My heart went out to him ❤
This is my first Rocky video. I am overwhelmed. What a wonderful man
has he been adopted?
Poor baby! I hope your life will be filled with cuddles and treats and toys and sweet positive words from now on. You deserve it little one.
💕🐕💕😊
How could anyone dump this sweet angel...I love him, want him!
get him :)
@@iyamwhatiyam547well…. I’d love to have him too, but I live on the east coast in Canada!🇨🇦
He is SO RELAXED in your arms.... and all the head rubs.... it's SO WONDERFUL !! God bless you both...
When Albert took the treat, I could literally hear the "Hallelujah Chorus" going through your head.
Oh no! I hope you find him! Please let us know if you find him.
I’m so sorry for your loss. ❤
@@violetfemme411 we are 100% adopting another. We currently have another female greyhound and she is affected by it too. She is more clingy and quieter than usual (even for a greyhound). We are grieving my boy but will definitely be rescuing another as soon as the time is right.
What a precious little dog…you just want to love him.
¡Gracias!
There is no feeling quite like watching an animal open up and find peace.
You must be a very good person for those traumatised dogs to accept you like that. I am mesmerized.
" To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world."
Thank you for all you do! Thank you for being you. You have a big heart. ❤ 🐕 ❤
He is shaking so hard. Makes me cry.
I know, I can barely watch the beginning when he’s shaking 😢 I love animals more than people.
@@MG-pj2ooglad you told them! And, as usual they conveniently 'missed the point'...it's always telling when someone is purposefully obtuse 😉💐
Thank you for giving him some love. I’m so happy he ate the treat! Yes!! 🥹
I wish I could adopt him. Such a sweet boy.
The second he took the treat, he transitioned from fear to trust!! He’s going to be just fine!! Whew 🐾
Anyone would be lucky to have Albert. He is absolutely precious, as are you.
He is a little darling who needs lots of cuddles and love.💕💕💕🐕🦺🐕🦺💕💕💕
Rocky I do not know how you can separate from the dogs you sit with. I would scoop that little black and white dog up in a heartbeat and take him home and love him. I just cry when I see those dogs abandoned and not shown love in their lives up to now. Please someone give this little dog a forever home, I can tell that he is going to be the most faithful, loyal, loving dog ever. I wish I could have him but I am in England!!
I would take him home right now, but I'm in the Uk as well 😥
Me too, but I'm in Scotland..😢
Me too but I'm in France.😢
You would get bitten before long
Me also but I’m in Australia.
His little worried face is heartbreaking 🥲
❤❤
It is, so sad that he had to go through so much! Just glad he's safe now, and beginning ti heal.
Even though these videos are disturbing sometimes, I can’t stop watching them. Thanks for all you do, Rocky.🐾❤️
That says a lot about you as a human being. 🥰🥰🥰😘🙏🌻😰💗💗💗
I share a lot on FB. Friends just need to repost and they don’t. 😢
@Sunknee you people are amazing 😻. You posess great 😊👍😻 empathy. Sadly it is lacking on the planet 🌎. 😰

Same!
Rocky, you are amazing. This doggo is loving "attention" from you. He is beautiful.
This sweet boy will be someone’s best friend and make them so lucky. He looks too clean to be abandoned. But who knows why people do the things they do. Hopefully he’s just lost and the owners are looking for him. Albert’s a doll. ❤️
What an adorable little pup! Thanks for helping him overcome his dreadful fear. he melted my heart with his soulful eyes. He deserves a loving family.
This dog is so traumatized. He is shaking. What could make people do that do a animal. Omg he is so precious. You did good great job. I dont know how you can leave him😢. I want him so bad.
Please adopt him
@emelydemaree4601 I'm In Connecticut
I couldn’t pass this dog by….my heart goes out to the scared, timid ones. Poor babies.
Aww, I adopted a wire haired JRT over 11 years ago. She was abandoned and carrying 12 pups. This is great to see!
You are a wonderful person ❤️ 💕 ♥️
A lot of bang for your buck there !
We are hoping that Albert gets rescued by a family. He is such a cutie and deserves a home!
Thanks
That little bit of, "grooming", ie, licking his paw, then stretching his front paw out towards the end, says A LOT! 🤗 I'm not a, "little dog", person, but I'd take him, if I could, because he hit my heartstrings❣😍
Me too!!
wow - can't stop the tears....he is a lovely boy...wish he were mine. I hope he gets his family soon. He is sooo brave, precious precious....
Doesn’t seem like he has been treated well to be so scared. I am hoping for a new LOVING family that will be patient with him to bring him out of his fear with love…❤️
It was so cute when you first started petting and you could see him thinking about it.
I know someone closer will scoop you up!🩷
Ohmygoodness! When Albert took the treat.. I just lost it! What a precious little buddy! Someone will be so blessed to belong to him!
The terrified 👀's and the shakes!! UGGHHH it rips my heart out!!!
Prayers for Albert to be adopted to a wonderful family 💖😄👍🕯️🙏💙🤍🕊️🦮🩹🤗
Breaks my heart seeing these beautiful dogs so scared 😔 I lost my rescue fur baby 5 weeks ago he was a russell terrier like Albert miss him so much 🥺💔
Whenever you begin to tell the dogs that its not their fault and that they are loved, the world is good and that there are good people who will take care of them it just makes me want to sob because it is so bittersweet. These poor babies that are so frightened and scared deserve to be loved and told how special they are just as anyone or any species does and I love that you say this to them!! Keep up the great work that you do!!
😰😰😰😘😘😘😘🌻🌻🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Rocky, once Albert was ready for the scoop you could just see him feel safe & grateful for your love. He relaxed enough to notice he was really hungry. You are probably the first person to gain his trust in a long time. It reminds me of how I adopted my beautiful but terrified little Gracie. I love your ❤ , and I love my Easily Distracted by Dogs Merch! I think you just saved Albert's sweet little life. Thank you for all you do.❤❤❤
He looks so scared!
Poor little baby
I'm going to call him Prince Albert because he seems like a super loyal and loving guy. Maybe he will find his Queen Victoria one day. 🥰❤🐾🐾🥰❤ Prince Albert is so adorable. sweet, and handsome. Those eyes are beautiful. What a cool and precious boy!
Poor baby. Thank the Lord for Rocky and his fantastic followers. God bless the little boy.
This is probably your greatest turnaround video I've seen. Such a good boy.
Agree!
You should never leave Albert until he gets adopted! How relaxed he felt in your lap, stopped shivering, taking treats, soooo sweet! 😍
Btw love your new shirt, and the poem made me cry
Albert needs comforting and feeling he is protected. He's traumatized from being alone and abandoned.😢
O.k. You made me cry again. But good tears, for his calming.
He really needs a ‘scoop’! He looks so afraid, but I think he’d like it if he didn’t have to make the choice, but could just relax into a scoop.
@annehiggins5381 very special man.
Is this little sweetheart adopted, or have a lovely home. I have a little rescue chihuahua and would love a little guy like this to be her friend.
please adopt him😊
