I tried this with WD40 but it caused the inlet to get stuck halfway open. Now the gas pump nozzle won't fit. The spring hinge must've been going bad. I'm getting a quote for the fuel fill neck replacement tomorrow.
@@juanidrovo2433 to be honest I don’t remember I think I just stuck like a tshirt wrapped in a stick in there and jammed it around until the debris got out
@@replicacity92 yes I does check engine light because happened on my car one mechanic told me to use 91 fuel when I did used this 91 fuel goes away but after 3 weeks it comes again with check engine light
Petersiksmotors I did this exact technique the message is still there and when I turn the engine key on it doesn't start, only after 3 - 4 times then it starts
I'm dying at the commentary 😂😂😂

The gas cap solves these problems, like no dirt getting in..
Man this has been bugging me for a week on my 2010 Raptor svt
I just did this, I still saw the warning right after cleaning it. Does it go away eventually after cleaning?

“You like that shit?” 😂😂😂
Won't the the w 40 get into the gas ?
That little bit probably wont do anything.
Problem with WD40 though is that it attracts more dust and dirt. 🤔
True but it worked nicely thank goodness
Like any grease or lubricant...
Like the fuel that goes in there
WD40 eats certain rubbers
I live on a dirt road can’t put wd 40 on mine it could attract more dirt?
Just spray and wipe it up good and it should be fine
😂😂😂
After how long did it take for the message to go away?
Sometimes instant depending on how dirty it is
Does this make the engine light come on ?
No it’s supposed to help it
Petersiksmotors I’m talking about the fuel fill inlet message.. does the “check fuel fill inlet” make the check engine light come on ?
Yes down the line it cause a small evap leak
@@replicacity92 yes I does check engine light because happened on my car one mechanic told me to use 91 fuel when I did used this 91 fuel goes away but after 3 weeks it comes again with check engine light
Using 91 octane is different from a evaporated emission system problem you probably have a bad batch of gas
Can I use cooking oil and a cloth instead ?
No just use wd40 it’s safer
Petersiksmotors I did this exact technique the message is still there and when I turn the engine key on it doesn't start, only after 3 - 4 times then it starts
It’ll pop back up after 2 weeks
Rip
Would brake cleaner work also?
You can actually even use gasoline to clean it with. Gasoline is a solvent. Put some on a rag and wipe it down.
Didn’t work for me
Someone said that after do the fix, to remove and reconnect the negative battery terminal to reset the computer system.
Did it work though......
Yes it did! Lol
