Hi Tupelo Glad to be of help! Falling oestrogen could affect the sinuses and dry the nose so it is possible but it could also be a coincidence as well! Joint pain is really common; I have posted a video blog on how to look after your joints so please do take a look. www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/eileens-blog/2015/12/a-vogels-menopause-mondays-joint-aches-pains/
Also, I use an Ayurvedic oil combo called Nasya Oil by Banyan Botanicals for the nasal passages and it’s wonderful. I live in desert conditions and it’s a morning routine. Hope this is helpful for you.
Great advice as always. Bitter greens are brilliant. I also wanted to mention betaine hydrochloride, a lab-made supplement used to increase stomach acid. Some health experts have suggested that it can treat conditions like hypochlorhydria (low stomach acid) and other unrelated medical conditions.
Unfortunately I am dealing with digestive system but am finding my stools are soft and at times runny (sorry for this information ) particularly in the morning along with anxiety and stress related to menopause. It's so wearing and I feel rubbish. Thanks for the video
@@AvogelCoUk hi thanks for replying. Yes I have been taking magnesium supplements. I wondering the my anixety has been horrible and dealing with a bereavement so feeling nervous and stressed
Hi Laney So sorry to hear of your bereavement. We do know that any stress/anxiety either physical or emotional can have a huge impact on symptoms and this can easily manifest as digestive problems so it’s not surprising you are experiencing this. The reason I asked about magnesium is that we all have what is called a ‘bowel tolerance’ to it, so if you take too much this can cause loose stools/diarrhoea. Check the level of magnesium you are taking and maybe decrease it to half dose for a few days to see if this makes a difference. Also, the type of magnesium can be a factor so if you are using magnesium citrate as a powder this can be very powerful on the digestive tract! You may also find taking our AvenaCalm beneficial, this is a lovely nerve soothing herb which can also calm the digestive tract as well. www.avogel.co.uk/herbal-remedies/avena-sativa-avenacalm/

I have found in the last few weeks that if I go quite a few hours ( probably today for various reasons about 7 hours ) then I suddenly got terrible hunger pangs like I wanted to be sick. It was awful , the anxiety started coming , I forced down some food but 2 has later I feel real wobbly, cold and now just swigging water . How regular should I be eating during the day .? I think I have finally realised that when you eat and what you eat really does matter. Can you advise ? Thank you xxx
Hi Sally Unfortunately, the falling hormones can make your blood sugar control very unstable leading to symptoms such as nausea, dizziness or weakness. It is really important to keep your blood sugar levels stable with the right foods. I have posted a video blog on this and what you can do to help yourself so please do have a look www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/how-menopause-affects-blood-sugar-levels/
It's all so unfair. A horrific time of life for so many women and the one comfort of enjoying food is even taken away. 💔 just too much. Not found anyone yet that can give me any hope.
I’m not in menopause. Maybe peri menopause... idk. But symptoms have been arising for a few years. What’s happened is Pains. Sharp Pains all the time and everywhere through organs. All the way down to the pelvic region. Puts me out where all I can do is lay down. I’ve always been athletic and now abdominal exercises will end up hurting badly the next day. These pains are stabbing and continuous. I will cut back dairy and wheat, and try bitters, but other than that I eat well, drink water. Teas help some, ginger helps digestion. But I cry over these pains. Help 🥺
Hi Melanie Please do go and see your doctor about these pains; they could be triggered by a number of things and until you know what the precise cause is, it's going to be very difficult to recommend something that would be of benefit for you. Once you know what is going on you are welcome to get back in touch with me and I would be happy to help, if I can. Best Wishes Eileen
Hello Melanie I know its been a year since you posted this comment I just wanted to know how are you doing have you found relief from your stomach pain.
Hi Anita This is a difficult question to answer as it is different for every woman, sorry. If foods are causing a problem then it is best to avoid them for a few months then slowly introduce them again to see what happens. If you keep eating foods that upset the digestion this can lead to more severe symptoms. Best Wishes Eileen
This is true I am having problems like this but not with constapashion blotting yes hole body changing itchey skin don't drink but can't help the craving for a nice cake gets me through the day I do not eat white flour wholemeal only even with cake's make my own no adatives you do need butter fat good red meat and green veggies 😃😉
Hi Sedonia Yes, this can happen, our skin can get thinner in the menopause making bruising more likely if you bump yourself. However, if you get unexplained bruising it is wise just to see your doctor. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Chandai Choking can be caused by a number of issues such as stress/anxiety, lack of saliva or even dryness of the throat so it is wise to get this checked out by your doctor for a proper diagnosis. Best Wishes Eileen

Hi Sharon, I’m sorry to hear that you are having an unpleasant time. There is no set time for the menopause to stop, because different women have different levels of hormones. If your periods have stopped, then 2 years later you are usually past the main symptoms. Dry eyes can be tackled with our Extra Moisturising Eye Drops, and also Pharma Nord’s Seabuckthorn oil capsules.
@@AvogelCoUk thank you for your advice I went a got some oil capsules extra moisturising eye drops plus on top i got a nasty eye infection can you get it with menopause at all never got eye infection before that why I was in a lot of pain xx
Hi Sharon, What happens in menopause is that the oil ducts in your eyes can become clogged up, making it easier to get swelling and infection in the eye lids. It is helpful to use a heated eye pad several times per week (your optician may tell you about these), to reduce the chances of the oils clogging up.
