Ugh! This is so encouraging for me! I thought I was literally losing my mind. Last year I was diagnosed with cancer and part of my treatment was pelvic radiation. Fortunately, I have had all my children, but it threw me into menopause in a New York minute. I’ve NEVER struggled with sleep until now. I’ve tried everything under the sun and end up feeling guilty and defeated. I have terrible anxiety about it. This video just relieved 99% of my anxiety! I’m not alone. I can survive this.
Hi Christine, I am sorry to hear that you are struggling just now; have you spoken to your doctor about how you are feeling? If not it is a good idea to see them as they may be able to offer you something to help. Acupuncture can often be helpful too so worth checking out.
@James Charles Try this app. It's free, but realistic sounds. I conquered insomnia. I swear!! + It has No ads. On Android Playstore, search "Cozy sleep Sounds" full name is : " Cozy sleep Sounds -relax with nature stress relief "
Hi Tzina Please do get this checked out by your doctor; unfortunately, sleep disorders such as Sleep Apnoea can appear at this time and this could cause breathing issues. Your doctor can test for this just to rule it out. In the meantime, you may find sleeping with extra pillows, so you are in more of an upright position, can help you. Best Wishes Eileen
I did not find this helpful, sorry. For years I've done my research on better sleep and for years, I have yet to find any solution. Doctors test until you're blue in the face then offer sleeping pills telling you not to worry about getting addicted. The naturopaths aren't covered by insurance and they all require additional blood work and tests etc, I get it but I can't do it. I am one of those people who wakes up several times during the night. I exercise and get sunlight, meditate, avoid caffeine and alcohol. I'm within the proper weight range for my height and age and on most days I have a decent attitude, I'm just tired and confused and very ineffective. Some nights are worse than others, which means worse days too. I wear a fit bit all day and night and it indicates that I am waking up several times during the night, I then wake up about 2 hours too early and can't get back to sleep. Not anxious, not feeling pressured, just not able to stay asleep. I once was a happy go lucky optimist. I've become cynical and cranky and I suspect it all has to do with sleep or the lack of.
I wake up every morning crying and scared to be alone and to go about my day. It goes away eventually. I just don't understand why this happens everyday. Do you have any insight
Hi Amanda I have posted a vlog on crying so please do take a look, it is really common so you're certainly not alone in feeling like this! www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/crying-fear-and-worry-whats-causing-these-emotions/ Best Wishes Eileen
Thank you your videos are so helpful. I’m having a problem with hives, is this do to menopause? I itch and scratch and my skin gets as if someone has beat me with a whipped .
Itchy skin is really common in the menopause and often caused by excessive histamine. You may find a nettle tincture helpful here as this is known as a natural histamine. Remember to drink lots of plain water every day as dehydration will make this worse and harder to treat.
