Couple things. One, those bushings have a front and back so take note which way the bracket is facing when you take it off. Two, get the suspension to approximate right height before you tighten the large bolt that goes through the bushing.
55 ft/lb on the two smaller bolts and 144 ft/lb for the larger one.
Good video….loved the “that’s what she said”
Great video, straight to the point. I like that 👍🏻
Nice. Thank you for taking the time to video this.
Thanks for the tip.
Very helpful video
You make it look easy; I'm about to find out if it is.
Was it im about to do mine
@@rickycallaway5610 It wasn't all that easy, but that's the stupid engineers fault. I have a 2011 Traverse, and the connector for the ball join has an allen screw, right under another part, and you can't get an allen wrench in to tighten it up. I had to cut half the short angle off of the allen wrench to be able to tighten it up. For some strange reason, the ones I took off had castle nuts, but the one I put back on had this. Also, it was such a pain, and the ball joints were riveted or welded on, so I wound up replacing the whole control arm assemblies on both sides. I consider that a wise move.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Funny thing is I replaced the struts sway bar links and the bushings tie rod ends and still heard the clunky noise guess what it was this 30 dollar part all along 😂😂
Guess I’ll start with the$30 part first 😃,wish me luck
My '14 enclave makes an annoying mouse on the front of the vehicle. I replaced all motor mount and transmision mount trying to correct this issue but it still there.
@@jeanpierreremond2565 you try the axle?
I own a 2014 buick enclave with less than 100K miles, i noticed this problem about 2 yrs ago. I replaced all motor and transmision mount components but the clunk noise still there its more notorious when you make a turns on either direction.
Maybe the sway bar links. Or in some other cases the motor mounts
Any torqueing specification involved on that nut and those bolts?
The torque specs say to crank it down until you almost break the bolt. Oh, wait, that's what my Dad said.
@@jameswalker3729 😂
That's a pretty important bit of info. Just sayin'.
120 to 130 Ft lbs on the big 24mm nut that secures the bushing onto the control arm threads. Have not found the 2 smaller nut torque specs yet.
55 ft lbs on the smaller bolts.
😂
Really just the front bushing... how about the rearward bushings... waste of time watching this crap.
