a portion of it probably is actually oil as well. you do oil pizzas before cooking them, so he isn’t entirely wrong. His point was it’s not a grease fest like reviews say it is, “greasy pizza” in NY insinuates low quality, like we call dominos pizza greasy here. prolly why he got all right about it

I can assure you, it’s the best pizza slice I’ve ever had. So much flavour in the sauce, light, fluffy but crispy base. The fucking pepperoni is MENTAL, way better than sex. Just an amazing experience. It’s worth going to Scarrs as well for a normal triangle slice.. my personal favourite.

Nope, Olive oil is high in monounsaturated fats. It helps lower cholesterol and its actually very good for you. Although it still has high caloric value, what the owner said is true. Its not the fat you're thinking of.

My italian father-in-law turned me on to sicilian style pizza. I absolutely love it. The dough is so delicious. If you see it on a local menu, give it a shot. I think I have to make a little detour to Prince Street next time I'm in the city and give their pizza a shot.

Went to NYC December 2019 and the FIRST place I went to from the airport was Prince Street Pizza. I'm from Georgia, Atlanta to be specific but man oh man. You know a Sicilian slice when you bite into it, that olive oil and curled pepporon. Mmmmmmmmm. It's more than just a passion for food, for pizza. It's a culture for sure.

Most people dont know, NewYork didnt need the deep dish because we already had the Sicilian slice which is like the perfect balance between the regular NY slice and the chicago deep dish, BUT!!! the Sicilian came before the chicago deep dish!

I'm not a pizza snob like a lot of the northeast. I love thin crust new York style, I love deep dish Chicago style, I love Sicilian. it's all good in its own way and I love all of them for different reasons. I live in connecticut and it's almost blasphemus to speak Ill of Frank pepes or like something else as much and I hate that attitude because just like people food is all great in its own way. live, love, eat and enjoy life because you'll be dead before you know it and if you close yourself off to things you'll miss out on the best parts of life.

The old saying if you don't like the channel change it. If you don't like the pizza don't buy it. Everybody got their spot they like. Funny thing I buy Domino's because my son likes it. I guess he's not old enough to know better. We live in Massachusetts I grew up in Da Bronx I know good pizza. He hasn't learned about good pizza yet.

Big fan of scillian style pizza. Very popular in northeast Pennsylvania. Scranton / wilkes-barre. You can find it in almost any pizza joint.
Ate there last week, the 30 minute wait was well worth it.

I have this one recurring dream, where I'm living above this specialty food place that serves Sicilian pizza. It's the perfect world for someone, like me, who doesn't like to move from the computer chair. And. Yet. If I can walk down the block, and then catch an 'overpass' back to where my rental room/pizza place is, so like 10 meters above where I sleep, I'm in Amsterdam. It's one of the all time great dream worlds. You can never be TOO close to a Sicilian pizza place, like this one.
NYC Sicilian pizza is sooooo good. I was born in the Bronx. This is the first pizza I remember as a kid. Oh man it's phenomenal. Now I'm in Colorado and I've yet to find a decent thick crust.

Went to NYC, tried a slice from this place and yeah it is pretty amazing but for the Sicilian slice I thought L&B Spumoni Gardens was slightly better...but both are awesome
Spumoni gardens is one of the best scicillian in the city hands down. The focus of the two scicillian slices are different to be fair, this one focuses way more on the pepperoni whereas Spumoni is more about that upside down action.
