a portion of it probably is actually oil as well. you do oil pizzas before cooking them, so he isn’t entirely wrong. His point was it’s not a grease fest like reviews say it is, “greasy pizza” in NY insinuates low quality, like we call dominos pizza greasy here. prolly why he got all right about it
I just tried the Sicilian today and it was every bit of amazing that I thought it would be. Dominic rang me up, he is so cool! I can't wait to go back and get more! Made my day.
I can assure you, it’s the best pizza slice I’ve ever had. So much flavour in the sauce, light, fluffy but crispy base. The fucking pepperoni is MENTAL, way better than sex. Just an amazing experience. It’s worth going to Scarrs as well for a normal triangle slice.. my personal favourite. Love from London
NO.... BUT THEY MIGHT TRACK YOU DOWN AND HAVE AN ASSOCIATE/GOON BREAK YOUR KNEE CAPS WITH A BASEBALL BAT AND FORCE YOU TO REMOVE YOUR BAD REVIEW AND WRITE A 5 STAR EXCEPTIONAL REVIEW LOL
makes me feel good. another Sicilian strong about the culinary and the ingredients passionate about a traditional art form. thanks for the video. uplifting and inspiring. ahhh olive oil..
Now I don't know if this is the best Sicilian or not since I haven't eaten there but this guy clearly loves what he does and his passion comes through. That's enough for me to want to try a slice of the pizza.
Nope, Olive oil is high in monounsaturated fats. It helps lower cholesterol and its actually very good for you. Although it still has high caloric value, what the owner said is true. Its not the fat you're thinking of.
I'm not a pizza snob like a lot of the northeast. I love thin crust new York style, I love deep dish Chicago style, I love Sicilian. it's all good in its own way and I love all of them for different reasons. I live in connecticut and it's almost blasphemus to speak Ill of Frank pepes or like something else as much and I hate that attitude because just like people food is all great in its own way. live, love, eat and enjoy life because you'll be dead before you know it and if you close yourself off to things you'll miss out on the best parts of life.
The old saying if you don't like the channel change it. If you don't like the pizza don't buy it. Everybody got their spot they like. Funny thing I buy Domino's because my son likes it. I guess he's not old enough to know better. We live in Massachusetts I grew up in Da Bronx I know good pizza. He hasn't learned about good pizza yet.
Went to NYC December 2019 and the FIRST place I went to from the airport was Prince Street Pizza. I'm from Georgia, Atlanta to be specific but man oh man. You know a Sicilian slice when you bite into it, that olive oil and curled pepporon. Mmmmmmmmm. It's more than just a passion for food, for pizza. It's a culture for sure.
Most people dont know, NewYork didnt need the deep dish because we already had the Sicilian slice which is like the perfect balance between the regular NY slice and the chicago deep dish, BUT!!! the Sicilian came before the chicago deep dish!
My italian father-in-law turned me on to sicilian style pizza. I absolutely love it. The dough is so delicious. If you see it on a local menu, give it a shot. I think I have to make a little detour to Prince Street next time I'm in the city and give their pizza a shot.
I have this one recurring dream, where I'm living above this specialty food place that serves Sicilian pizza. It's the perfect world for someone, like me, who doesn't like to move from the computer chair. And. Yet. If I can walk down the block, and then catch an 'overpass' back to where my rental room/pizza place is, so like 10 meters above where I sleep, I'm in Amsterdam. It's one of the all time great dream worlds. You can never be TOO close to a Sicilian pizza place, like this one.
Went to NYC, tried a slice from this place and yeah it is pretty amazing but for the Sicilian slice I thought L&B Spumoni Gardens was slightly better...but both are awesome
Spumoni gardens is one of the best scicillian in the city hands down. The focus of the two scicillian slices are different to be fair, this one focuses way more on the pepperoni whereas Spumoni is more about that upside down action.
Looks delish, haven't tried it but my favorite is from L&B Spumoni Gardens but I need to try this out. Wishing you continued success. Your dad must be proud. God bless.
NYC Sicilian pizza is sooooo good. I was born in the Bronx. This is the first pizza I remember as a kid. Oh man it's phenomenal. Now I'm in Colorado and I've yet to find a decent thick crust.
Square pies rock... I'm a pizza extremist... I like my pies either thin n crispy, or thick n moist (also crispy). The most mediocre pizzas always sit in between somewhere... theres something about a pan-fired pizza... makes the bite so good.
+Dom Morano Your slices look GODLIKE man. I'd KILL to be able to get a slice like that around here. The sicilian at my local place sucks. I'll need to stop by at your place next time I'm in NYC ;)
That Pepperoni is USED BY EVERY PIZZA PLACE IN BUFFALO. Its referring to as CUP & CHAR. As it bakes, it Cups up and Chars on the edge. IT IS THE VERY BEST!! It is PURELY BUFFALO PEPPERONI.
First we Feast finally listened to our feedback on these videos! More of a story than just a montage. Thank you
Don't speak too soon. You don't know what's coming next week. :)
I find your lack of faith disturbing
that was a super cool guy. you can tell he loves it.
VoteForQueso Its inspiring right!?
Ya, I love it when people are passionate about what they do.
Bro I love you
Yeah i run my fathers restaurant which he's owned for 30 years so i understand that you really have to enjoy it.
Yeah, good guy.. I think he overstated that shit about being offended by the grease thing though. I would've had no idea that shit was olive oil.
"It's olive oil! It's good for you! I promise." lol this guy is great
I mean yeah olive oil is actually very healthy.
ye but its just wrong. The peperoni fat is everything but not olive oil

"The grease from the pepperoni is actually olive oil"
Soho Jesus - Turning pork fat into olive oil
Right! I find the greasier a pizza, the better it tastes, anyway.
Unfortunately, 99% of people watching this video are gonna believe him.

Ya it was good to meet you!
I went here last week and I have to say, it's the best slice I have ever had in my whole life
When I go to New York, I am going here.

Nice collection of pictures with famous people. Love it! Seems like a cool place with good pizza and nice people.
Arian thank you🤘🏻
"It's not greasy, It's oily!"
Olive oil =/= Lard . Grease is not oil.
Max Werner that being said it is still the fat/grease from the pepperoni.
Grease = fat, no? Oliveoil is like 99.9% fat
Nope, Olive oil is high in monounsaturated fats. It helps lower cholesterol and its actually very good for you. Although it still has high caloric value, what the owner said is true. Its not the fat you're thinking of.
no, they drizzle oil on top of the pizza. he was trying to explain it's oil not grease/fat that's sitting in the curled pepperoni
This pizza looks amazing.I love those type of pepperoni & those thick slices.

Sal's Pizza in Mamaroneck, NY is another favorite Sicilian slice I have.
Those cooked pepperonis look heavenly!
Big fan of scillian style pizza. Very popular in northeast Pennsylvania. Scranton / wilkes-barre. You can find it in almost any pizza joint.
*I could go for one right now!*
This place is very good. One of my favorite Sicilian pizza places. Top ten in my book.
fabulous looking pizza, i loved to eat about five pieces. 🍕🍕🍕🍕👍😎
My grandma used to yell at me , while saying IT’S NOT GREASE. IT’S OIL AND WATER. she makes the best pizza... I would DEFINITELY eat his pizza.
Truly is the best slice in NYC. I live in the Bronx and make the trip down here at least twice a week, no joke

Try Audrey Jane's in Boulder
One of the great pizza joints in America. The classic pepperoni pie is as good as it can get.

Dear God that looks good. Also seems like one of the few places that you would want to eat the pizza where you get it.
So, is there olive oil sprinkled on top of it to keep it from burning at 900 degrees? Is that why that is the way that it is?
In Old Forge,PA
