With all the hype around of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, we have access to the preview build before the release on August 18th. Over the next 18 days until release We will break down every part of Microsoft Flight Simulator and discuss what features you all want to know.
Hey bud, is the NDA lifted? Or does Microsoft have to give us special permission to upload them on UA-cam? I'm in Beta but not sure and don't want to break the rules. Thanks in advance. ❤️❤️❤️
Must be nice to have early access. I’ve been signed up since the beginning. For alpha and beta. Nada. Seems they only give access to it to people that are on UA-cam.
Mark Emery I’ve been in since TA1. UA-cam guys like Aus and many who attended Renton or granted the right to produce these videos without watermarks to help promote the upcoming release. We testers were pretty much just here to Load test the multiplayer and system demands during the development phase. You’re not missing much. It has been a wild ride but not your typical beta test team.
A mile of runway will take you to court, and eventually to an airport closure, as cities close airports one by one because "those rich people over there don't need to be flying airplanes around us". Hey simmers. Join the fight to keep our airports. Check out your local airport. Chances are (unfortunately) good that if you are in a medium to large size city, there is a group trying to close it.
Loving these basics tutorials, and it really takes me back to when I was real world flying. You are the best flightsim UA-camr, and I look forward to the next video.
NaiveBeast The instructor told him to fly the approach with idle thrust. That's the same how my instructor taught me to fly the approach IRL. You can do that with a small aircraft. The benefit is, that no matter what, you will always make it to the airfield.
NaiveBeast 4 white all the way, then a rapid descent to make it 4 red for the landing. ‘Someone who knows how to land’ 😂. No offense to the uploaded.. love the videos and it’s just a game after all
I like that when you look right and left during the landing that the landscape and buildings is still there and doesn't keep popping into view just because you're now looking in that direction.
I love how she says that he is on the glide slope, meanwhile, at that point you would execute a missed approach because he was WAY above the glide slope as shown by the PAPI's LOL
Papis aren’t meant for GA aircraft lol it’s meant for large planes that have less control and need time to adjust. There’s things you can do in a ga to drop altitude quickly. I was taught it’s better to come a little high and adjust than to come in too low and drag out an approach with engine power.
@@FleetTech97 They are used by all aircraft from a Cessna to an A380. They are used in non precision approach environments so in that case, They would be used. The Cessna also doesn't have a glide slope indicator so it relies on the papi's for it's glide slope info.
Very curious about this. I remember hopping into a payware XP11 c152 and doing a closed circuit around my real life home airport that I train in a c152 out of, and it was dead nuts accurate, feel and all. If the flight model in FS2020 can match the graphics, I can see spending A LOT of time in this sim.
I would really like to see the physics. I would also like to see a cessna stalling, and would like to see you stall into a roll (Spin). Thankyou! (Note: full stall and spinning stall would be great to see! Maybe a superstall?) (Note 2: the stalls would be nice to see, but my request is to see the physics in general.) Edit: corrected a mistake in my writing
@@coopthaog I had to restart this lesson to get the plane to move forward after releasing the parking brake with leftCtrl+decimal point/Del on the number keypad.
got stuck here too. tutorial is complete shit. like no hint of what do do or anything. set full throttle. released brake. nothing. plane just sits there. what a piece of shit.
Love you're content. I haven't flown a sim in over 20 years but still gamed. I saw Microsoft Flight sim 2020 and had to get. Love this series you are doing.
What I saw in these few videos is far away the best than paywere scenarios on other flight simulators. If you consider this only the closed beta FS2020 going to destroy the competitors.
Thank you for the preview. It was very nice to see in my trainer. The instrument panel seemed darker than in a real 152 and side windows very small. I usually do a clearing turn before takeoff just to see any traffic. You can't see anything out those tiny windows the showed.
When Bosnia And Herzegovina is added, please visit it! It has amazing mountains, the biggest pyramid in the world which is very not known, I reccomend checking out Mostar, Sarajevo, Tuzla and more! Thanks!
When you taxi onto the runway use the whole runway you may need it if the engine quits. Don’t just follow the yellow line out to the numbers you waste a couple hundred feet.
So you had 4 whites all the way down to touchdown on the PAPI. You want two reds on the right and two whites on the left to be on glideslope. That's what the PAPI is there for, you make your landings easy. Its the visual equivalent of a ILS or GPS glideslope.
White over White, you're high as a kite / you'll fly all night / check your height / you're out of sight Red over White, you're alright. Red over Red, you're dead
I Love these videos! Nice work! Makes me feel familiar with the sim already before I get my hands on it in 2 weeks and 3 days but who's counting!?!?! Can't wait!
I really love tour channel, thanks for keeping us up to date. It has just been my 15th birthday so I'll save up for a new computer so I can play it on ultra settings😁
This is great....really appreciated. Can you dive into the menu and controls a bit? I’d love to see the basics of the view system. How to change views and create presets. Thanks!
Such kind of (in-game) tutorials just add so much more fun to flight simulators, especially for new simmers! Wish I had something like this in X-Plane when I started...
Sedona is such a clever airport to choose when learning to fly in the sim. The plateau is so visible when flying VFR! Can't wait for more content AUS :-)
Looks nice and I am glad there are tutorials. I'm excited that they will support VR when the HP Reverb G2 releases, so I've heard. I am thinking of preordering it because it sounds like a really good VR headset and it features 4K resolution, better than almost all other headsets. Also, I have to say that getting up to speed on learning all of the controls is quite a time sink.
Great video. There was one error during the landing instruction. The aiming point is not the threshold. It's the two solid marks, which are to be kept in the virtual center of the two ends of the runway, when on final. You're also actually supposed to be looking at the far end of the runway during landing. But, close enough. Thanks for the video. :)
Is that Sedona? Dang! it is! In real life, it is really challenging landing at Sedona. The winds rising due to the slope makes every landing interesting. If you try to land on 21 rather than 3, it will be rough and the mount that pops out near the end of 21 causes pilots to come steep approach to prevent hitting the hilltop. Very interesting approach. "Sedona Traffic be advised PAPI's unusable beyond two nautical miles.".
3 quick questions: 1. Will it support multiple monitor setups like the 3 monitor @ 90 degree rigs? 2. Will it support Foreflight? 3. Have they modeled ground-effect?
amazing again like always, can you use an xbox controller on PC and will you be doing a giveaway possibly when it comes out on xbox? keep it up aswell cant wait to see your first flight
I’m surprised they didn’t say aim for the 1000 footers. Also I found it funny that the virtual instructor said you’re on glide slope when the PAPI was four white. 😂 Still looks like a sensational sim. Curious to know if aerodynamics are accurate; I will be impressed if it responds correctly to a forward slip.
@@mr.martintorres5804 I was thinking the same. Seems like it would have been okay with the flaps already out, but the virtual instructor waited too long to tell the pilot to lower them. No biggie though. (Although for a moment I wanting him to do a forward slip to drop some altitude!)
I use to be a casual in FSX. I would just do IFR to learn about the systems. VFR was never something I was interested in FSX because my graphics capability would not allow it. I can say for FS2020, my main interest will be VFR because damn those graphics! I'll be building a new PC just for this. Cant Wait...
The virtual instructor forgets to mention one of the most important things in a single engine aircraft on take off. The torque of the propeller will make the plane want to turn hard left when applying full throttle. You have to combat that with full right rudder

Finally someone who knows how to land a plane. You could've flared a little longer, but that was quite good!
I rushed the landing. Actually did the same in my flight test this week. Come to think of it.
Aus Flight Simmer hey. When I see the landings people show on UA-cam. Why are the airliners so stiff?
