    Yes please review after 6 months. I also just started a subscription. I’m 4 days in and the product is cleaning out my digestive system from the extra fiber I’ve added with Kachava. I feel incredible in just a few days. Yes not as filling as I thought but possibly adding some almond milk, banana and peanut butter will help to make it more complete and make you feel fuller for longer. But overall amazing product for all it’s healthy list of ingredients.

    So, I think another few points to consider into your price comparison of your meal vs Ka’chava : travel expenses to the market, time to find, purchase, transport home meal items, water to clean items, electricity to store items in refrigerator, time for prep, cook and clean up and electricity/ gas to cook. I think time is money :) Thank you

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  Рік тому +3

      Diana, those are all good points. I made it as simple as possible because I didn't want to get into (Price of gas in your state? How many miles a gallon does your car get? How far is grocery store from your house? Do you shop at Kroger or Whole Foods? How much do you make per hour? How long does it take you to shop?, etc.). As you can see, it could get quite complicated.

    Thanks for the review! I think Kachava may cost a bit more than a home-prepared meal, but that is the time-vs-cost tradeoff. I think it's a good deal on that point. As a vegan, I sometimes have trouble finding vegan food when traveling (not that I've done much of that in the past 2 years, lol) and this really looks like it could be a great solution to take along on trips so I'm not stuck eating salad and breakfast bars.

      @@FitnessFinance4u I like Kachava and my stomach likes it too! So many shakes are hard to digest. I like 1 heaping scoop with almond milk and 1/4 of a small banana to get a boost during the 3-4pm energy drop. Fills me up and I'm not hungry until dinner about 3 hours later. I also eat a smaller dinner since I'm not ravenous.

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  2 роки тому +1

      Pianoomann88, you are right. They are not the same thing, so you can’t compare the two against each other. My suggestion is this. If you have trouble remembering to take supplements every day, or it’s just to big of a hassle, and you can afford it, take Athletic Greens (and take some Vitamin D too). And, if you find yourself in a jam and need a quick meal, use Ka’Chava. So, you can use both at the same time.

    Super comprehensive review! Thanks so much! Opinions please!! I just turned 55 and have been slowly but steadily dropping pounds for the past 10 months to the point that I'm now about 20 lbs underweight. (I feel fine otherwise and a recent 'physical' revealed no health issues). Also, though I am not weak-stomached overall, I must stagger any supplements I take thorougout the day (and only with/after food). Might this be an easier way to ensure my daily nutrient intake? Since I wish to gain weight, will this mix with something other than water? Perhaps coconut milk? TIA.

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  2 роки тому +2

      ChillBabyChill, congratulations! Sounds like you found almost "too good" of a way to lose weight. As for supplement intake, I'm not an expert on this and would advise you seek some advice from a registered nutritionist. It probably would only take a visit or 2 and you could get some solid advice about your nutrition and supplement intake schedule. Keep it up!

    I just started using Ka'Chava and I found that I'm still a bit hungry myself so I add a whole tray of ice and peanut butter and banana this seems to help with the filling up and being satisfied between meals. It definitely is cleaning up my digestive system as I don't think I get enough fiber. I have IBD and thus far is helping me out with that it also has calmed down my sugar cravings as well. I've spent more money on things that aren't good for me . I'm a mess trying to get back to a younger feeling person and gotta start somewhere in a positive direction!!

    I’ve tried huel in the past. I like the ingredients better in kachava but it’s not as calorie dense? Sodium content is a hair higher with Kachava. I can see it working as a meal replacement but I’m curious how satiated you would feel and how long that would last if you’re very active? Not sure that it would replace a protein shake. Guess what I’m getting at is… If you’re starving after a work out, drink the shake but end up eating a full meal anyway… Lol… Maybe I just need better self-control🤣🤣

    Just bought two bags to save on shipping. Still, the price of this product is prohibitive. Subscription makes me nervous unless it’s very easy to turn on/off/skip deliveries. As a true meal “replacement” I’m very hungry soon after a serving. Adding other ingredients is probably next in my experiment. I too would be interested in a six month follow up. Kachava flavors:
    •Chocolate
    •Vanilla
    •Coconut Acai
    •Chai
    •Matcha
    My go to is mixing one scoop of chocolate & one scoop of vanilla. I have yet to try the coconut acai, chai & matcha.
    Ps. Shipping is free when you order two bags :-)

    Hmm so if your only supposed to use it with a balanced meal then I probably shouldn't have bought it because I barely eat and I want a easier way to get more energy and keep my body going. It's on the way so I haven't tried it yet but now I'm worried. Is it still OK to use kachava every day even tho I don't have a balanced diet 🤔 or will it do more harm then good?

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  Рік тому +1

      Rachelynn wood, I'm definitely not a Dr. or nutritionist, so I can't answer your question as well as they would. But, I do want to let you know that it doesn't say "use with a balanced meal" on the package. It says " Used as part of a well balanced diet. Do not use this product as your only source of nutrition". I used Ka'Chava once a day for a month and it was fine. Personally, I wouldn't use it more than that, but that's just my opinion. I kind of think of it as a more nutritious "protein shake" and meal replacement drink. Hope that helps?

    Do you think it would be god to drink for weight loss or what would your suggestion be?

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  2 роки тому +2

      Jason, that's a good question and, unfortunately, I'm not a certified nutritionist or nutrition expert of any kind, so I can't really give you advice. I think it's best to consult a professional on this as losing weight is a whole "lifestyle" change in training yourself to eat right. So its a bit more complicated than just drinking something to lose weight. If you can consult an expert (that you can find a good review on from using things like Yelp in your area), they might say this is an ok "part" of it. For example, I don't use it to lose weight, I use it when I'm too busy to make a meal. Another good idea is to check out the trainers/nutritionists on YT who are "certified" nutritionists, or at least are connected to one, and know what they are talking about. They give some "excellent" advice. My favorite for that is Magnus Lygback, whose food philosophy I follow and it's very simple. He also interviews nutritionists and Dr.s on his channel. I hope that helped? I know it's a very long answer, but losing weight and maintaining it is a life long journey of educating yourself and changing old habits into new ones.

    Personally, for my body anyway (and I do have pretty fast metabolism...was a scrawny kid), I consider a meal more like 700-1,000 calories. Less than that is a snack to me. Calories make energy!! Love nutrients but I also love calories, especially the more I exercise! So I have no idea why anyone would consider a serving of Kachava a meal; I hope what they meant by that is just implying it could be (for more calories) say blended with bananas and nut butter and nut milk as a shake...or mixed into oatmeal. Or an awesome energy ball snack (hmm maybe that could involve oats too?). Oats, bananas, and peanut butter are all quite cheap. Or I'd be ok having it just with say nut milk and thinking of it just as a tasty, easy, super nutrient-dense snack between usual meals - say every other day, so that's like $70/month. Worth it to me. Those are my thoughts. I can't wait to try it!!! Looks SO nutritious and tasty to me!!! Though sodium maybe kinda high? I have a feeling it's even more addictive than Ovaltine or hot cocoa. That was fun seeing it compared to a healthy, homecooked meal! Thanks for the video.🙂

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  2 роки тому

      Flower, they definitely consider the drink a “meal replacement” on its own and no additions. And yes, not many calories, so hard to get used to as a meal, but that’s what they market it as. You sound like you hit the genetic lottery! 😀 My meals are between 400 and 500 calories max, and my snacks are less. Sigh, I’m envious 🤣

    You forgot two economic points: 1. Cost of energy to cook own meal and, 2. Cost of your time to prepare the meal. Probably makes the powder less expensive unless the cost of ice, water, and cost of energy to mix is considered.

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  Рік тому +1

      Mike L....those are all good points. I chose not to include items like "cost of gas to cook food, boil water, etc." as it gets complicated as all states and counties have different rates and the rates vary depending on what time of day you cook. Then, like you said, I would have to consider cost to make ice for my Ka'Chava shake, water, energy used with blender, etc. So I kept it simple.

    Great review brother. Im on my way to get leaner . I'm on my 40s and for some reason I stop taking care of myself. 10 years ago I was an athlete competing at nacional stages of Enduro and downhill mountain biker. I got married and after a few crashes I stop riding and started going to the gym but then stared eating horribly. I suffer from anxiety and it makes me eat to much even though I'm not hungry and can still eat tons of food. I'm gonna give it a try to replace my lunch or probably my dinner...my only concern is that you mentioned that it doesn't make you feel satisfy

      Thanks for posting this "I dont care Sapo". I completely understand how a few "crashes" could take you out of your rhythm and things can end up taking the wrong turn. I had a few shoulder surgeries and it really got me down as it seemed I couldn't get back to where I was. However, one day, I just decided to change my outlook. In my opinion, eating right is a state of mind and you need to force yourself to do it at first, even if you don't like it. Over time you'll form "new" healthy habits where you actually crave healthy food. Never thought it would happen to me, but it did. If Ka'Chava is the product that gets you started again, that's great. Also, I'm now totally satisfied after drinking it. I've learned to "sip" it slower so my stomach communicates to my brain that I am full. It takes a while, but it works! Cheers!

    Is Kachava keto friendly.?

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  2 роки тому +2

      Rpm Auto Parts Inc...I looked it up on the faqs page of Ka'Chava, and here's what it said.
      "Not for a standard ketogenic diet, but possibly for variations of keto that involve carb cycling.
      A standard keto diet requires you to consume about 75-80% of your calories from fat, 15-20% from protein, and only 5% from carbohydrates. Based on these guidelines, regular intake of Ka'Chava would likely contribute too much protein and carbs, and not enough fat.
      That said, some people take a cyclical keto approach, which involves following a keto diet for 5-6 days, followed by 1-2 days of higher carb consumption. These “refeeding” days are meant to replenish depleted glucose reserves, and some claim this approach is superior for exercise performance and muscle growth." Hope that helps

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  2 роки тому +1

      Targaryen King...good point, but getting into that would have really been too granular and tough to figure out. Some people cook chicken in an electric oven, others in a gas oven. How long do you cook chicken as opposed to how long I cook chicken? How much would gas or electricity cost where you live compared to where I live? Then I would have to get into the water costs for making Ka'Chava (did you use tap water, or filtered water? Did you buy the filtered water or do you have a filtration system at home? Did you refrigerated the water or just use room temperature water? If you refrigerated the water, how long was it in the refrigerator to get cold , and how much electricity did your refrigerator use to make the water cold? As you can see, it would have been a bit too much. 😃

    • @targaryenking8877
      @targaryenking8877 2 роки тому

      @@FitnessFinance4u I still think the cost is pretty close... The powder + water vs. car ride for food (unless you walk, but time is money), cooking food as I mentioned... So the shake saves on time which in a way is a resource (you are paying for the convenience). But I do understand your point! After watcing several reviews and yours I'd go with the meal instead of the shake. I only eat once a day for health reasons, so having a real meal and spending time preparing it is worth it for me . • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  Рік тому

      Stephanie, you are not wrong. There are many other variables, on top of what you mentioned, that could have been taken into account when making this video. For example, a couple viewers said "what about energy to cook your meal? (gas or electric)", "what about time spent shopping for food?", etc.. In order to get those costs I would have had to figure out what the price of gas was in each particular state to figure what someone might spend driving to a grocery store. Also, after that person did do the shopping, were they then going to cook in the afternoon or evening and on a gas or electric stove (to figure out energy rates which I know are different during different times of the day). That would lead to a whole bunch of other questions. As you can see, the minutia would have driven me bananas. So I made some generalizations when making this video. Thanks for watching and I hope you got something out of it.
