I've lost 70lbs eating low carb. I must eat this way because if I eat sugar, my arthritis gets worse and my body gets wracked with pain. Cutting out sugar has helped my life. There is no more pain. I am very happy to have found your channel.

Hi Mayra, I just found your channel and so glad I did. I’m 63, post menopausal, and all of a sudden, I can’t maintain my weight. (I also recently retired and right off the bat gained 5 lbs.) I’m a small person, 5’1” and my happy weight is btw 120-125 lbs. Right now I’m at 132 and so afraid I will keep gaining due to lack of physical activity and slower metabolism. You said it all when you said it’s so hard to lose weight because we can’t stick to it. That’s my problem, exactly. Mostly because I get tired of eating the same foods and then I finally give in to the carb cravings and eating sweets. Now that I know about you I will continue to watch for your recipes. The protein shake looked good and curry chicken is one of my favorite dishes. I also learned from you not to eat too much fruit because of the sugars. I do have one question: You fried the salmon and chicken; does that not add calories? I always thought to lose weight one should refrain from eating fried foods. Anyhoots, I can’t wait to watch your other videos and try other delicious recipes so I can eat more healthy! Thank you!

Here in Brazil, one of the best, most traditional smoothies is an avocado (actually, abacate, the bigger, tastier version of the fruit) smoothie. Basically, its abacate, sugar, milk, ice and a aquirt of lemon juice. It's delicious! As is avocado ice-cream. Just adapt it to keto: almond or coconut milk, erythritol and ice and you are good! It's the best smoothie you'll ever have!

    Food Mindfulness Movement
Like to add several other habitual change:
    Eat slowly
Breathing: Inhaling exhaling oxygen in between
Chew your food at least 32 times before swallowing
Decrease the volume or amount of food intake in each meal
Cut the processed sugar to zeroand carbs to minimum
Increase the raw greens vegetables such as basil, mint, parsley, green pnion, cilsntro, tarragon, spring savory, watercress
Eat various fruits such as pomogranate, blueberries, pineapples, and citrus like grapefruits
Replace caffeinated and carbonated drinks by various herbal teas like Peppermint, chamomile, and similar with no sweetener and dairy
Cut down all highly processed food and hydrogenated cooking oil
Add good nuts like pistachio, pecan, hazel nut, walnut if raw and presoaked would be better than roasted and worse if caramelized
Increase vegetable and bone broth cooked slowly by root crops, onion, garlic, and Turmeric
Add seeds into your daily meals such chia, flax, pumkin, sunflower, black cumin seeds, basil, sesame, etc...
Choose good spring lamb, young goat, deer, bison over beef or pork for protein and fat
For meat and dairy products choose free range or pasture grazed then organic if affordable
For dairy like yougurt or milk go with highest grade of fat and eat less and moderately
For dairy products go for mostly plain yogurt, feta and goat cheese with no starch, sugar, gelatin, and/or added artificial flavour or colour or additives or food stabilizer.
Think of real good food products with probiotics and prebiotics such as onion, garlic, quality cottage cheese, flax or sesame seeds and MCT oil, kafir, sauerkraut...
Consume less rich gluten products and zero down products with lectin for most part. Grain like wild oats and Rye are recommended.
For bread go with the ones that has only 3 to 5 ingredients contains no canola oil and made with kumut, oats, rye and some nutrient rich seeds and grains for fiber and good fat
Enjoy your home style minful food preparation and consumption
Be conscious about snacking time, type, amount....
Control your hunger and thirst and leave enough time between each meal 😋 😌
Stop eating after 7 or 8 pm if sleeping at 10 or 11 pm respectively
Start eating good breakfast at 7 or 8 am. Gradually decrease 3 main meals a day to two main meals with some healthy quality snacks.
Walk, move, do not stand or sit long hours and talk to others to share and exchange information to enhance and expand growing, preparing, consuming real good food and consciousness.
Think Fresh, Green, Clean, and Lean....

Ok so did you eat the big salad or just the tiny bowl of salad? Is the big one a serving? Or a meal for the family? You made it siund like you would eat the entire thing but then scooped out only a lityle bowlful. I'm confused. I live on big salads as I am growing my own lettuce.

Hi Myra, new to your channel. I just ordered the probiotic. I am on my journey to weightloss and overall to get healthy before it gets too out of control. My husband has joined me and so far it is going good. I am menopausel, have Thyroid (underactive) issues and hurt (joints). My goal right now is to drop about 50 lbs, then another 20 more. I want to do this slowly and right. I am 5'8" (I hold my weight, for the most part pretty good) however, I weigh 228. I know, cringe 😞But, I am determined and will not hold my head in shame. I LOVE my gym (as it is not your typical NAMED brand gyms) but offers everything ...everyone (even the young kids) they are are so encouraging , which is wonderful, since my husband and I are the oldest ones there that I've seen thus far!! 🤭 Lol Just wante to say, "thank you!" and I love your channel 💜

Lp.❤

I’m more of a savory person and couldn’t handle that much sweet for my first meal, but it’s easy to make a savoury protein shake with unflavored whey protein powder, a dash of plain kefir for the probiotics, a teaspoon moringa powder for the vitamins and minerals and some water. If I want slightly sweet or just a different flavor, I throw in a handful of frozen blueberries or frozen strawberries. Great way to fuel your body for the day.
