This looks like the car I have dreamed of building since I was a teen. This month I will be 53.
You still can
Its never too late! I like of foxbodys for sale on fb market for cheap
Do it
Get you one my man !
Man I wish I had the time and money to spice up my 81. But I’ll enjoy it the way it is in the meantime. Keep car culture alive people. The man is doing his best to ruin it for the younger generation.
You can do a Heads, cam, intake swap for around $2500
So glad you guys didn't use your usual Walker mufflers. The Original 40 Series Flowmaster is the only muffler that belongs on any 302 based Mustang. Dumps are just icing on the cake. Great job!
I haaaate to see a single plane intake on heads that fall off at 5500rpm, things gonna have no push out the hole and fall off before that intake does any good. Dual plane intake would be much more suited for that engine, but for free I guess I wouldn't complain haha.
Thank you. I was waiting for this episode.
Every mustang history video always forgets about the sn95 lol
That was my first and still is one of my favorite mustangs. Such a higher quality interior, but not as raw and fun to mod as the Fox (my opinion)
People look very confused when I pass them at open track events in my 95 GT.
@@HANOMotorsports most underrated body style. People sleep on it. I love mine. I'm the second owner. Bought it back in 2007.
I love that they're using the GM style HEI distributor. They're SO easy. I just finished 351W swapping my fox and the whole engine runs on about 4 wires
These cars are so great and fun to mod.
i found, especially with the long tube headers that a cross pipe can reall y help with the drone if your sending a lot of time on the highway. good old fashion round pipe about 3/4 size of the mains. just straight across, not an X pipe as they raise the pitch of the exhaust tone. i'd still balance the shaft for the sake of the extra couple dollars. is the manual pedal assembly same across the whole range of cars built on that platform? i want to do a conversion and curious if this could be an easy way to get one?
79-93 pedal assemblies, automatic and manual are actually the same, obviously the manual assembly has an extra pedal and a tube plus the arm, but you can easily convert a automatic pedal assembly to a manual pedal assembly. You can buy a kit from here shiftsst.com/clutch-pedal-conversion-kit-1979-1993-ford-fox-body.html. You can also buy a used, complete set off of Ebay/Craigslist for about the same price or even cheaper. If you want to save a lot of money for just a pedal assembly, you could also go to your local junkyard and get a pedal assembly off of a 94-04 Mustang for $15-30, then swap the pedal arm and tube into the Foxbody pedal assembly that you would already have, the pedal will sit a bit higher than a foxbody pedal, but it will still work if you have budget in mind.
Nice Mustang but I really like that split bumper Camaro
Not even an H-pipe on the exhaust?
Catalytic converters? Really?
There’s no A.I.R tubes, smog pump, or EGR so those cats are gonna do awesome.
If you have a mullet, your foxbody goes faster
Proud owners of a 1965 coup in Rangoon Red and a 2005 GT convertible in Screaming Yellow.
I'm gonna run that balancer on with an impact.....
Nothing says performance like a Edelbrock carburetor..
Ford doesn't call it a 'posi'. They call it Traction Lok. A car guy should know that.
I would have skipped the converter… 😝
@ questions. Is this episode a few years old??? Or a recent recording???? Imma newb. Thanks
New sub ! Liked 🚀👍🙏❤️
As soon as you said Edelbrock I had to leave....lmao
I remember my dad had a 66 mustang Coupe back in 79, 75 mustang 2 put a rebuilt a performance 302 V8 in it traded it for a 79 mustang
Isn't the water pump going the wrong way like that?
Straight pipe it dude then put a H pipe if you want some good sound.
“We want this car to sound aggressive. This is muscle car not weenie car.” As you put cats on a 20+ year old car.
They have to. This was filmed for tv
Some states require and check every year.
I was willing to look passed not having an H/X pipe, but blowmasters are a hard no
Why is the world would you encourage people to shorten their own driveshaft.. even if all the welds are great there is no way it’s balanced and if it not it’s terrible for your rear end bearings and your transmission let alone what you feel. You can have your local shop cut it down for you and balance it for like $150-200
only way i would have a go is if i had a lathe but even then i would still take it for balancing.
That rotor needs to be pointed at #1 not #5
i love the show you should of keep it Automatic for that mustang instead of manual transmission
I'd do that if I drove it everyday. For a weekend toy like this is a manual is going to be more fun. Unless you can retrofit one of those new 6+ speed autos with paddle shift.
$20 for a clutch pedal assembly. I need the name of your junkyard.
Wth happened to this show???? Loctite on water pump and impact tightening the balancer....wtf
Boy I agree with you.
And now they're cutting and welding their own drive shafts???!?!?
Aloominim lol
Why is it so bad picture, full off lines in the video?
Anyone else almost have an aneurism watching these guys turn wrenches??...jeez...
eww, put a holley on it.
when a ford owner says they blew their trans, they ain't talking about a transmission.
🤣🤣
These were ugly when they came out still ugly now lol
Same could be said about you 🤣
I agree. Ugly then, ugly now.
