Burt Reynolds actually played Adam Sandlers part in the original! Also doesn't hurt to have actual wrestlers and actual football players (terry crews used to play and couple others)
If I was Burt Reynolds I’d be mortified that a loser like adam sandler would be playing my character in a remake. RIP Burt Reynolds
@@nsasupporter7557 awww did someone hurt you?
@@nsasupporter7557 Imagine making a UA-cam comment calling someone a loser lmao. That’s a sad life
@@fishinman539 no, but I think you’re hurt because I called your precious adam sandler a loser
@@Worstestvideos what exactly are you trying to get at?
Not the worst movie ever made. I mean, where are you ever going to see a comedic cast this iconic ever again?
Fun Fact: Five of the six members of the rap group D12 made cameo appearances as convicts playing basketball. The missing sixth member is Eminem/Slim Shady.
Damn how did I not notice bizarre in the shower cap lol
Also there is a large number of Pro Wrestlers in the film, Bill Goldberg and The Great Khali play convicts on the team and Kevin Nash and Stone Cold steve Austin play Guards
12:46 In case anyone's wondering.
imagine Eminem being the only white guy on the courts always chilling with the black guys
mmm ...I think it has to do more with a scheduling conflict or cost. Eminem was at the hight of his career around the time this movie was made and a cameo would have cost a pretty penny. There was no controversy over him not appearing, so I have to assume it was for benign reasons.
There were some NFL players in this movie but also some WWE stars too like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Goldberg, Kevin Nash and the Great Khali.
I think the warden is a good actor for making it possible to feel mad at him. He's also good in 'Babe' .
And LA Confidential.
He also voiced Callaghan in Big Hero 6.
Another really good football movie is The Replacments!!!! Would definitely recommend. Great reactions too btw
The Longest Yard
R 1974 ‧ Sport/Comedy ‧ 2h 1m Is also good
The replacements was really good
She has a smile so warm, it can ward off frostbite.
It was a combination of NFL players, WWE wrestlers, comedians and actors. Uncle Joey in this movie was amazing.
This is actually the second remake of this movie. The original from the 1970's had Burt Reynolds as Paul Crewe. The other remake was a British version based on a soccer match starring Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham.
what are they called? I'd love to see them
The one with Vinnie Jones & Jason Statham is called Mean Machine. It’s a great one to watch.
That smile can power entire cities.👍🍺
I saw this with my father when I visit him as a middle school great movie lol in funny as hell. Didn’t knew it was a remake…
I love her Reactions She has such a genuine nice spirit a kind souled woman
She's also refreshingly refined and educated. Enjoyable to watch and listen to.
Me too
She’s married. Too late bro
RIP Cloris Leachman. A great reaction, been a long time since I have seen it.
There were former NFL and CFL players as well as former WWE wrestlers in this movie:
Bobb Sap as Switowski (played for Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings)
Terry Crews as Cheeseburger Eddy (played for Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay Packers, San Diego Chargers [now Los Angeles Chargers], Washington Redskins [now Washington Commanders], Philadelphia Eagles)
Bill Goldberg as Joey Battle (played for Los Angeles Rams, Sacramento Gold Miners, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers) (also a former WWE wrestler)
The Great Khali/Dalip Singh Rana as Turley (former WWE wrestler)
Michael Irvin as Deacon Moss (played for the Dallas Cowboys)
Bill Romanowski as Guard Lambert (played for San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders [now Las Vegas Raiders])
Brian Bosworth as Guard Garner (played for Seattle Seahawks)
Kevin Nash as Sergeant Englehart (former WWE wrestler)
Steve Austin as Guard Dunham (former WWE wrestler)
Conrad Goode as Guard Webster (played for New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Out of all the former football players mentioned above only 2 have made an impact in the NFL and those are Michael Irvin and Bill Romanowski having a combined 7 Suberbowl victories (3x for Michael and 4x for Bill).
As for the former WWE wrestlers, all of them have made an impact in their profession most especially Steve Austin who is a 6x World Champion.
Fun fact: Coach Nate (Burt Reynolds) is the original Paul "Wrecking" Crewe in the 1975 version. His jersey number in the 2005 version is also the number he used in 1975.
So freaking beautiful. Oh yes, the reaction is good too.
Lol thank you! ☺️
Calm down
@@NoxSoSubtle its the smile for me tho

I’ve said this in other reactors’ comment sections. Adam Sandler completely committed himself to this role. At the beginning of the movie, he’s his usual, pudgy, out-of-shape self. By the time he starts playing football, he’s trimmed down and looking more believable as a football player. When it comes time to play against the guards, his physique is complete. He’s athletically built and believable as a player.
Another fun sports movie with an all star cast of quirky characters is 'Major League'. Tom Berenger, Rene Russo, Corbin Bernsen, Wesley Snipes, Charlie Sheen, Yogi Berra, Bob Uecker and my personal favorite, Coach Lou Brown played by James Gammon.
Oh I love Major League good choice my man :).
Yeah, no one has done a reaction to it yet. She’d by the perfect person too.
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 there have been a few but not as many as you’d think right?
One of the few sports films that doesn't suck these days
Remember the titans is definitely something to watch . I saw it for the first time only 3 yrs ago and I’ve seen it at least 10 times since
Fun fact: In the original 1974 movie, the bomb was triggered by the light switch in Crewe's cell. That's why the camera hangs on the frame of Caretaker turning on the light with so much suspense. They called back to the original movie as a misdirect.
Love ur energy, it’s breathtaking
"Dicks Sporting Goods", lmao that's great, I'm so weak when you said that. Awesome reaction, keep doing your thing.
Adam Sandler did a golf comedy called "Happy Gilmore." Its enjoyable.
The big guy who cries saying "He brokeded my nose" is a MMA fighter by the name of Bob Sapp. And the fella who broke Bobs nose is 7ft 2inch tall Daliph Singh or The Great Kahli
Fun fact: When William Fichtner (who plays the guard captain) brought his little son to the set, apparently Adam Sandler pulled up in a golf cart, and stole the kid to show him around.
I love that they used actual former pro ball players, wrestlers and other pro athletes to film this. Michael Irvin, Bill Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Brian Bosworth, The Great Kahli, Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Bob Sapp and Terry Crews
Fun fact Terry Crews played in the NFL… 🤯 Also, I just realized-- I loved “Everybody Hates Chris”, and there’s a Chris Rock & Terry Crew connection here. Stay cool kid! 🖖🏼 Hope you don’t mind me saying… BUT you’re adorable! 😂🤣 Go Rams!
So I love the fact they used Burt especially since in the original version he played the main character Crewe.
The taller cop is Dan Patrick, long time ESPN host. Also, half of these guys are wrestlers.
She down to "see it" 🤣 killed me
My favorite part of the movie is remembering the original. ;)
It was my dad's favorite football movie, which meant that it was my favorite football movie. This was a classy remake, compared to how other movies have been tossed in the garbage disposal.
This is the first video ive seen of yours, but im definitely interested in seeing more. I like the way you format your reactions.
The replacements. Invincible. Friday night lights. The original longest yard. The blind side. And for random sports movies . Tin cup. Field of dreams . 42. Sandlot. That baseball movie with Keanu in it. And countless other’s that I’m to drunk to remember
M I R A C L E
We Are Marshall
Remember the Titans
Varsity Blues
Rudy
Any Given Sunday
Waterboy
Major League.
I'd also like to vote for The Replacements. It's a great movie and Keanu Reeves is such a good actor. The Replacements spoofs the time in NFL history when a strike forced teams to field replacement players that were termed "scabs".
Also, don't know if it's been mentioned, Burt Reynolds who is playing the coach here was the original Paul Crewe in the original The Longest Yard in the 70's.
Love your reactions, Nox. You're so cool.
so happy i found your other channel! been worried from subbing to your spirituality channel not being updated :) you look so happy!
Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor made a similar movie called "Stir Crazy" about prison rodeo. I think you'd really enjoy that one.
It ain't easy being cheesy!
"YOU CAN DO IT" was originally from The Waterboy an early 90's Adam Sandler film
“We are Marshal” is a very inspiring movie. I hope you review it!
Coach Nate Scarborough (Burt Reynolds) was the original Paul Crewe of 1974 i was so excited when i saw him again in 2005 remake.
The old guy who subs at the end is Burt Reynolds the QB from the original movie in the 1970's.
I remember Stone Cold said that library science was the hardest thing he had 2 do
This was pretty good, but the original from the 70s with Burt Reynolds is much better.
jus watched it the other day, its good but not better lmfao. this one has better comedy, better flow, bigger stars/ actors… u can say u think its better but saying it is, is jus not a fact at all.

Entourage
One of my favorite shows too
VICTORY!
I would definitely have to say my favorite part of this movie is Paul's confession to his team. Respect. 💓👍🏻
I think you are the first person I have ever seen react to this movie from all the react channels I watch
Good football related movies are Heaven Can Wait (1978), Jerry McGuire, The Longest Yard (1974), The Blind Side, Rudy, Dazed and Confused, Invincible, Friday Night Lights, and Brian's Song.
Heaven Can Wait is a great movie.
Definitely Heaven Can Wait !
“The Blind Side” is actually my favorite of all the movies you listed.
Some other good football movies to check out:
Necessary Roughness
Gridiron Gang
Rudy
Remember the Titans
American Underdog
Friday Night Lights
The Blind Side
Varsity Blues
I didnt know you were an Entourage fan. Victory!!!!.
Haha yessss! I love it 😄
@@NoxSoSubtle Johnny Drama
This is a very good remake, I think as good as the original. Along these lines, Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor made a movie called "Stir Crazy", which has a prison rodeo as the climax. I won't say more than that.
Adam Sandler did another football movie 6 or 7 years prior to this one. It's called the Waterboy. You should check that one out. It's so funny. Love to see your reaction
"Victory!"
― Johnny Chase
Yeah, Rams!!! Great game and I'm glad they won.
Victory! - Johny Drama
I’m born & Raised In Austin, TX.
When it comes to Football movies:
Friday Night Lights and Varsity Blues
Fun Fact: The Guard that kicked Adam Sandler out of the bus won 4 superbowl rings. The inmate that beat Adam Sandler in basketball has 3 superbowl rings.
that be Michael Irvin #88 the Playmaker of the Dallas Cowboys
"I'm down to see it" lol
And that guy playing basket ball is Michael Irvine he was one of the superstars for the Dallas cowboys
This movie is why pride is out there😂😂
RIP CARETAKER
HAVE A MOST WONDERFUL EVENING & AN EVEN BETTER TOMORROW GORGEOUS
You are absolutely stunning, and your reactions are genuine, it all works. Good job, im subbin for sure
"He was half a star" 💀😂😂
love your reaction. ok so that head banging guy is a X WWE star "The Great Khali" and he's from India. so proud of him.
You missed out Goldberg and pretty sure stone cold Steve Austin was in it too
@@jackhaughey6597 and Kevin Nash too
@@jackhaughey6597 yeah bro ik abt that but ig she didn't know about khali so i wrote that
PLEASE do the 1974 original. It's SO MUCH BETTER.
Good to know! I’ll definitely check it out! 🙂
"Remember the titans" and "The Gridiron gang" are good football movies
Only both are based on true story…
Lucas.. the ultimate underdog sports movies from the 80s ... i think you will love it
Cool reaction 😂😂. What makes this movie even sweeter is all the former football players in it.
Mean Machine is pretty much the British version of this film, would be interesting to see which you prefer
You've never seen the original 1974 version?
oh hell yeah I haven't seen much people react to this lol you have a new subscriber thank you for this reaction i grew up watching this movie
Please watch GALAXY QUEST. Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tim Allen....
I love Galaxy Quest! It’s one of my favorite comedies 🙂
This film is definitely not the best comedy ever made but holy shit is it fun! Especially if you're a football fan or a wrestling fan, there's just so many iconic names in here that it's impossible not to enjoy this film.
Another football comedy with Adam Sandler is The Water Boy
Love this flick, not much of a sports guy in general but sports movies are pretty good.
One of my favorites is slap shot and probably this flick, great reaction Nox. ❤️
You got a pretty smile
It’s contagious
Good review
I watched this it’s a good movie
The 1974 version is one of the best sports movies ever made and far superior to this remake
That is true, still better than the other remakes "Mean Machine" and "Captain Masr" imo, though i have a soft spot for Jason Statham in Mean Machine. I'd say it works as a lighthearted adaption for a younger audience.
Yeah nah I disagree lol. Its A LOT slower
@@YourMothersMan its got more balls than the remake that's for sure
@@YourMothersMan That’s because MTV’s audience is a lot dumber. They needed more potty humor and visual fidget spinners to get their dollars.
Agreed. I much preferred the original which i remember being called Mean Machine. Burt Reynolds had so much more charisma than Adam Sandler
I found your channel about a week ago and have been loving the content. Your personality is great as well as your intellect which works well for your reactions. Thank you for the great content and can’t wait to watch this one.
Just on a side note Little Giants is one of my all time favorites from my childhood. Right along with The Sandlot. Even though you have seen Little Giants it would still be great to do a reaction to it.
I think you might also like "The Replacements" with Keanu Reeves, if you haven't seen it already. Another fun football movie.
I think your decision to have LA Rams colors as your background lighting brought them luck tonight, Eadig. I'm happy they won.
Wooo!!! ❤️❤️
The best football comedy is "The Replacements" with Keanu Reeves and Gene Hackman. I hope you will do a reaction to it 🙂
You're so gorgeous and bubbly and enthusiastic; watching your reacts always improves my mood because you're so upbeat and positive. Thanks.
Any given Sunday is my favorite football film
I love your reaction to this movie. It was beautiful. You should do a reaction to movies like Coach Carter and Save the last dance. It sucked that Chris Rock dies in this movie. He’s my favorite actor.
“Geez! Where do they get these guys?”
Pro wrestling
Any Given Sunday!
One of the movies not commented here but is a super silly/dumb football comedy is The Comebacks. But you just have to go into it expecting it to be late the scary movie franchise where they parody everything. (Actually you might want to watch it after seeing the better ones). Primarily Radio, and Remember the Titans from what I remember.
Switowski is my favorite character too!
I remember seeing this movie the day it came out, at the same theatre the 2 cops were standing behind in the beginning before the car chase. It was in Long Beach even though the cop cars said San Diego Police.
Guards do that to inmates all the time especially in the south like texas,oh and the guy with the mustache is Burt Reynolds he is the main character and quarterback in the original movie
Best football movie...Wildcats (1986) Goldie Hawn, Wesley Snipes, and Woody Harrelson
Entourage is awesome drama my boy
Awesome Reaction and I love your smile and laughter. There's another movie called "Gridiron Gang" Starring Dwayne "THE ROCK" Johnson.
Watch the original from the early 1970's with Burt Reynolds.
What a smile.
The hornets nest, is . . .in fact, a real thing. Its an anti-riot device.
The replacements is classic ooooo and ford vs Ferrari is amazing
watch the blind side its a masterpiece
Is the "Victory" line you referenced from the TV show Entourage?
personally i want more sic fi from you - loved the predator reaction!!!!! and loving the channel in general !!!
You broka my nose is Bob Sapp grew up watching him play for University of Washington.
The one in the shower is Bill Goldberg former WWE.
The small running back was Nelly.
The one playing basketball was Michael Irvin retired Dallas Cowboy receiver.
Spot on! Such a fun flick, actually good performances! Kevin Nash on estrogen is friggin hilarious. Bet they had a blast making this!
I like the original with Burt Reynolds in the Adam Sandler role. This is a good update...
For my money... any given Sunday, is the best football movie out.
Lawrence Taylor
L L Cool J
JAMIE Foxx
Great cast
To age me, younger than my father and older than you.
The Rams are from St. Louis. ( Kurt Warner is the greatest)
