      That was what I meant in part, neither JB or MJ made their livelihood, their shows, their life by tap dancing, to Caesar what's Caesar, BB was a great show on those days. You are very right, tap is incredibly demanding and the new public now wanted to see something broader in terms of the dancing...

      I was thinking about how technology like UA-cam has killed talent such as this. What's crazier than almost killing talent by making people lazy is how UA-cam somehow keeps it alive like life support allowing the lazy folk a chance to see that Bill, was very talented at his craft.

    Michael Jackson and Shalamar did their homework! Do you ever wonder where some of the artists, authors, writers, etc. go and follow their mentors, or those they look up to? This is where the research comes in to play! This is where I firmly believe classic and history will never leave us and it is for us to do our research and homework to give honor to our late great legends who paved the way for us to keep them alive for generations to come to remember. ~ Amen.

      Man, I also love to find out very good things existed in past times. But humans are far from doing everything there is to be done. Take the upcoming Transitioning Exoplanet Survey Satellite, for example. It is expected to discover a lot of potentially habitable planets beyond the solar system. Add to that some promising spaceship technologies in development such as the Star Chip which is a nano space probe propelled by light sail principle,. If successfully completed, it could reach the nearest earth-like exoplanet - Proxima b in Alpha Centauri system - in 20 years of travel time, and send back to us the first images of an earth-like exoplanet (the data would take another 4 years to reach back to earth). Of course, it all could turn out to only become real in a future beyond our lifetime. But the knowledge about the universe is continuously expanding, and so is technology, and we can be as excited about the future as we are about the past :)

      Fernando, you obviously read some stuff but haven't did any research. These sails you speak of work, theoretically. In practice, once you get further and further from our sun there are less and less photons reaching the sail. It is impossible to reach the nearest star that way. Unless we can somehow make a controlled wormhole to an exoplanet like earth, we won't get there within the next 500 years.

    • @fernandorechia1635
      @fernandorechia1635 6 років тому

      Diepvries11 actually, it would "involve a multi-kilometer phased array of beam-steerable lasers with a combined coherent power output of up to 100 GW" (earth-based). Theoretically, it would be enough to accelerate the fleet of nano probes to 30% of the speed of light.
      I don't know if it would need 500 years to work but I agree that our generation may not live to see it.

MJ never credited himself with creating the moonwalk, he just about perfected it. The backslide and moonwalk are actually two different types of moves, in two different styles of dancing. The backslide is so much easier to do. I have a Masters in break dancing of the 80’s, both as a study then as a cardboard street corner performer 😂😅
