What I've always loved and appreciated of Jim Carrey is that he always gave the people his true self. The man made an amazing career from being silly. And I think that's awesome of course I know he also dealt with some personal issues but he's obviously a great person who still finds a way to smile and make others smile as well.
I would disagree about the statement that he gave us his “true self”. Comics are experts at putting up a hilarious front, while at the same time being some of the saddest people around. Look at Robin Williams, or Jonathan Winters. Both had that manic depression. I wish the best for Jim, and certainly hope he stays with us for a long time! What I've always loved and appreciated of Jim Carrey is that he always gave the people his true self.
The man made an amazing career from being silly. And I think that's awesome of course I know he also dealt with some personal issues but he's obviously a great person who still finds a way to smile and make others smile as well.
I would disagree about the statement that he gave us his “true self”. Comics are experts at putting up a hilarious front, while at the same time being some of the saddest people around. Look at Robin Williams, or Jonathan Winters. Both had that manic depression. I wish the best for Jim, and certainly hope he stays with us for a long time! He is also a great actor, in both silly and serious roles!
