I cried a bit in the theater during 2011 Muppets movie because not only were they got back on the big screen but it was so darn good. Most Wanted was just okay.
This was a good comeback for the muppet during the early 2010s. I remembered I saw the muppets and it’s sequel as a kid, and I really had fun with it. It does suck that most wanted didn’t make enough money and the 2015 series was short lived, but it did deliver some good content. Unfortunately we’re entering the next era where Whitmire was fired
I remember when my father took me to see “The Muppets” and my mother with “Muppets Most Wanted”. They were the only times I got to see the Muppets on the big screen, as well as skipping “The Happytime Murders”. Also, I like to humbly thank the late Jane Nebel Henson for being Jim Henson’s collaborator on “Sam and Friends”, the living Steve Whitmire for carrying the legacy of Kermit after Jim’s 1990 passing up until 2017, and new Muppet character Walter for reviving the frog and his gang’s popularity for a short period during the 2010 decade. On an unrelated note, for those who’ve watched the “Fraggle Rock” reboot, do any of you have a theory why Mokey’s original puppeteer Kathryn Mullen didn’t reprise her role?
After a nearly a whole decade of smaller projects, the Muppets returned to their cinematic universe with the 2011 Muppets movie. It was meant to show that the Muppets still had their charm and wit from the original show and the first three movies. Not only did it bring back and flesh out some characters from the original show that had been absent for decades (most notably, Uncle Deadly, Wayne and Wanda), but it introduced us to Walter, the latest member of the cast who was meant to serve as an audience surrogate. His introduction felt organic and the way he played off some of the other characters like Pepe, Fozzie and Kermit really made us feel like he was destined to be one of the group. It proved that the Muppets will always be relevant, whether a project is new or decades old. After the success of the 2011 movie, the Muppets returned to the theater once again in the form of Muppets Most Wanted. It was their first direct sequel and went for a more traditional Muppet film route. Unfortunately, it didn’t perform all that well at the box office, despite the positive reaction, and from the looks of it, it seems the Muppets have finally left the theatrical scene, permanently. A year later, ABC greenlit a new Muppet series called "The Muppets on ABC". It was done in the form a documentary sitcom that focused on the Muppets’ everyday lives. Unfortunately, it had a lot of issues during its very short run. Many moral guardians were complaining that the movie was too adult oriented and began boycotting the show, even though the Muppets are meant for general audiences. Fans were also having a hard time connecting to it. However, in the second half, the show got some major tweaks and found its footing, allowing for many standout episodes and better character development. Too bad ABC pulled the plug on the show before it could continue the story arcs, release an album or bring in characters that were absent in the show. The 2010s proved to be a renaissance age for the Muppets, but sadly, it was too good to last.
But now with the remakes no longer being billion-dollar Titans I think Disney will be doing sequels from already existing properties like hocus-pocus Tron and the princess diaries will get third movie we need a third movie for the Muppets as well when they scrap all future live action remakes
I hope part 8 gets here soon. I need as much more Muppet info as possible. This series of videos is a great influence for a college project I'm brainstorming!
And here we are with the new decade of Muppet craziness. Whether it be teaming up with Jason Segel, Amy Adams, and a new Muppet character named Walter to reunite the gang for one big show, encountering a Kermit look-alike who's actually a very dangerous criminal, or trying their hand at a modern day TV show on ABC, it looks like our heroes have a lot of work ahead of them...but can it all work out in the long run?
However the true downfall what's going to happen in an unexpected news even bigger than Miss Piggy's broke up for Kermit the Frog and that's the firing of Steve Whitmire buckle up we're reaching the end of the story
Interesting fact: the locomotive of the Muppets' tour train was portrayed by 'Captain Baxter', an 0-4-0 tank engine that was built in 1877 by Fletcher, Jennings & Co. for the Dorking Greystone Lime Company. Its now preserved at the Bluebell Railway in West Sussex, England.
No offense to Matt Vogel, but while he does well with the late Jerry Nelson’s characters and keeping his spirit alive through the performances, he’s obviously no Steve Whitmire.

Alright, this definitely felt like the time of seeing the major comeback of the Muppets, and I want to say this was a fun decade. I still hold fond memories of the two recent movies (2nd One Underrated soundtrack!) and the Muppets Tv Series later on. Although the series was not the best thing that came after the movies, I Still hold merriment to some episodes I find pretty hilarious even today. One other thing about the 2015 Muppets sitcom that really bothered me was how mean-spirited it felt sometimes. Not only was Miss Piggy EXTREMELY selfish and entitled, not only was Kermit kind of a sleazy womanizer, but the episode where Fozzie met Jay Leno was one of the most needlessly cruel episodes of any show I’ve watched. I won’t spoil anything, but you’ll see what I mean once the script comes to the words “George Carlin Candy Dish.”
I wonder if I’m not the only one, but I remember seeing the TV spots for The Muppets (2011) and one of them contained Wanda Syke’s deleted cameo and going to see the film in theaters and being confused when she didn’t make an appearance. Anyone else remembering getting confused as well?

I still hold fond memories of the two recent movies (2nd One Underrated soundtrack!) and the Muppets Tv Series later on. Although the series was not the best thing that came after the movies, I Still hold merriment to some episodes I find pretty hilarious even today.
All to say what could be next, Muppet Haunted Mansion? The Muppets Mayhem? All the Disney cartoon appearances during the time Kermit going through puberty?
Not to mention a series called Muppets now
Don’t forget their time at Hollywood Bowl.
2:50 Didn't this plot happen in another movie before?
Oh yeah, Space jam a new legacy. Which they did worse honestly.
29:46 CODE RED!! CODE RED!!
That part is hilarious for how you can use it in any scenario
The temporary successful comeback of the Muppets!
Disney sure hates the muppets, which explains why muppet vision 3D is no longer at DCA and merch is very rare. Just great 😔😔😔
@@danielgudinojuarez6729afterwards it there was a Frozen sing along show then the building was only used for previous of upcoming Disney features until a permanent use with Mickey's philharmagic but you can still find Muppet Vision 3D at Walt Disney World at Disney's Hollywood Studios
The Muppets (2011) premiered at the Savannah Film Festival on November 4, 2011 and was a box office success upon its release on November 23,
The Muppets 2011 almost made what The Flash can't.
Put Christian Bale and George Clooney in the same movie.
Statler & Waldorf: DOHOHOHO!
Statler: “Nice burn, kid!”
Ironic on how the muppets hosted SNL after the big issue they had when they first started.
I really wish they could make a movie adaptation of the novel “tales of a sixth grade muppet”
Yeah.
Yep
4:22, I kind of wanna know what that Plot-Twisted Ending would've looked like
the biggest mystery will be why Muppets Most Wanted bombed it's a mystery
One muppet movie from the 2000s that is very underrated is a muppets Christmas letters to Santa from 2008
Glad I can still watch this! This is gonna be good!
Love the muppets!
I’d say that Mat is almost done with Lookback.
Next part is the Muppets time in Disney+ and finally the honorable mention.

Can't wait for the conclusion.
History of the Muppets part 8
Please
9 years later and we never got another Muppet movie 😢
This feel like the Muppet version of the Disney Renaissance like Disney was reborn after Walt Disney's death with films like The Little Mermaid Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King the 2011 film it's when they made the Renaissance after Jim Henson's death
13:37 minimum the category has to be fill in three or five nominees other songs that could join the nomination are hello Hello From Elton John and Lady Gaga on Gnomeo & Juliet So Long by Zooey Deschanel on 2011 Winnie the Pooh or Masterpiece from Madonna on W.E. but they weren't as good enough to fight against Man or Muppet
20:14 I think I saw your green screen being cut off by the door and the light in the hallway!
@ElectricDragon505, will you please make the top 15 creepiest Nicktoon/Nickelodeon episodes and the top 15 creepiest Cartoon Network episodes for Halloween?
Unpopular opinion: I think Muppets Most Wanted is better than The Muppets 2011.
I definitely think most wanted had better songs, but I prefer Muppets 2011 overall
The Muppets is a great movie in the aspects of an introduction to a new audience, but Muppets Most Wanted was also great in terms of a movie. (I'm posting this as someone who absolutely fell in love with Muppets Most Wanted, as well as Constantine, when it came out and trying their best to not have a biased opinion.)
I thought it was funnier than Muppets 2011
I agree
Same. It had better music, and a more fun plot
2:41 Screaming?
Yeah... Walter did not take that news too lightly. To be blunt, when he heard the news, he panicked. Does this help?
I LOVE all-star casts.

the 2011 Muppets and 2014s muppets most wanted are both awesome movies as for the 2015 muppets show much like NBC's father of the pride and a couple other shows it deserved more than 1 season
The Muppets 2011 was the best Muppet movie since Muppet Christmas Carol, you can see why it's the highest grossing Muppet film to date!
❤️💖 I wished Disney could make another potential Muppet movie in the near future! 😃😀😄😁😊😉 👍🏻 💖❤️
They pulled the plug on all the remakes for good Disney will do sequels to The Princess Diaries Hocus Pocus Tron a third part to the Muppets
🐻 **in a deep voice** “Mmm, ‘wakka-wakka’, who wants to hear a funneh joke?”

Part 8 should be here next month.
I think Jim Henson himself would really love The Muppets (2011), Muppets Most Wanted (2014) & the Muppet Viral Videos (2008-today).
Unpopular opinion: I think The Muppets & Muppets Most Wanted are just as good as the first 3 Muppet movies & both 2010s Muppet movies are better than the Christmas Carol & Treasure Island adaptations.
He will be proud that Kermit and the Gang have Outlast him and even very impressed with Walter you hear it with the 2011 film they were as famous like in the days when he was alive
Fun 🤩 Fact: The Muppets (2011) was originally gonna to released in Christmas 🤶 of 2011, but it was later moved up ⬆️ to Thanksgiving of that year
Next time, Kermit gets a new partner while he and the gang try their hands at streaming.
We are going to have Muppets now the Muppets mayhem and the Muppet Haunted Mansion we're reaching the end of the story so stay tooned
This is going to be a lot of Chaos mate vogel has Kermit the Frog sound a little bit off and more Constantine
Stay tuned next time folks as we are reaching almost the end of the line things are going to be a chaos Steve Whitmire it's no longer with Kermit the Frog but on the bright side The Muppets are ready to make the next step to the future of entertainment with streaming services with a couple of TV shows and a special based on a classic Disney ride buckle up because we are reaching towards the end of the story and the show
It was amazing the 2011 feature with this film along with Walter The Muppets were back in action unfortunately Most Wanted the 2015 series and Steve Whitmire firing it's where we have a big downfall
Ps: I really love Amy Adams performance as both Giselle in Enchanted and Mary in The Muppets
Ps2 I wonder what was the life of Gary and Mary afterwards I think they have their wedding (maybe Mary has Giselle's wedding dress) they have their honeymoon and even probably now they have children probably Walter will be an uncle for them
Ps3 with the live-action remakes no longer box office hits and billion-dollar Titans like in the 2010 I think it's safe to say that Disney will move forward with sequel for Hocus Pocus 3 The Princess Diaries 3 Tron Ares and even the Muppets need a third film
Ps4 Mandeville films if the also that has producer of the 1996 live-action film of George of the Jungle and the 2017 live action remake of Beauty and the Beast in the 2022 film of Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers
And Finally ps5 2:40
Walter: AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Gary: Walter!
Giselle Walter?
Gary: Walter!
Giselle Walter?

When’s part 8 of Animation Lookback: The Muppets gonna be released?

Hey all you hardcore STH fans out there, you guys should make '07 Retroject Sonic!. Imagine if both SEGA and Sonic Team made their very own Retro Sonic around the same time the fan game of the same name itself enter the picture and it's not only an indescribable fun blast from the past must play masterpiece we've ever witness in recent memory, but it's also easily THE top-tier best of the absolute best and good funbelievably endless Classic Sonic the Hedgehog video game experience we've ever experienced yet before Mania enter the scene a decade later, period! It also features a zone/adventure story maker mode, encore mode, online and COM adventure battle race royale mode and so, so, so, so, so, so, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much stuff in this very game alone, it's an unquestionably breath-taking retro video game spectacle we will not, and shall not, EVER forget (even in our 80's/90's), no questions asked!
The muppets 9.5/10 and muppets most wanted 7/10

Nice Episode Dude
I honestly think they just don't understand how to handle muppets, this is franchise like many others, where it needs breaks for lighter content and then come back to light with better movie
Ironically I’m getting my tonsils out soon (if I can work the busted USA healthcare system).
The Muppets are back again!
I’ll continue to hope for new muppet movies until I cameo in one
What's next animat? Muppets most wanted 7/10
I feel pretty sad for everyone at the muppet studios, they thought everything was gonna go great after 2011's the muppets but then in 2014, the public didn't care anymore after Muppets most wanted under preformed and ultimately troubles occurred behind the scenes. It didn't help either that Brian henson would come back in the directors chair and helmed the worst movie of 2018, the happy time murders!!! Plus, the 2020 article showed who he really is. If he hates the art of puppetry, I do believe it and that's no cool 😤😤😤
