I have the 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4S and it's the best motorcycle I've ever owned and ridden don't have much intention for off road use but nice to know that it's more than capable, it's just a dynamic exhilarating motorcycle, everyone ride safe 🙏
Thanks for the ride Jed, Nice distraction for those of us still watching the ice melt... Nice bike. Not big on the clear clutch/brake fluid setup, but really like the idea of blind spot monitoring. Sometimes even the best riders have an oops moment.
This bike was an absolute blast to ride. It is always fun to try something new. In this. case, it was a treat. Fingers cross things warm up for you soon, David.
I can't comment on the Multi V4 S. But I had a '22 V2. Top heavy, awful sound like a bag full of rusty nails. Bad seating position. Sold it and bought BMW R1250R. Man what a difference! The BMW brought back my motorcycle enjoyment again! P.S. Yes, the mirrors on the Multi are great
Sounds fantastic. Chain drive is a no go for me. But..I know people rave about the bike’s motor, suspension, geometry and updated technology. Love the blind spot monitors too. Speaking of fit and finish. There is like a lot of plastic. Especially the panniers and their attachment points. These are not as robust as the GS and you know this. BMW’s fit and finish as you know is superior. On a final note. It’s been said BMW will have something new coming out in 2023 for GS. Reduced weight, increase in power and tech. Until then, I’ll take a 22 GS/GSA all day. In your case an RT. Nice review. Ride safe and ride often.
It's a great bike, no doubt about it. Despite the plasitc panniers, fit and finish is great, and you can order (expensive) aluminum panniers and an aluminum topcase from Ducati. Like you, I come at it through a BMW lens, so it is not my cup of tea at the moment. But for someone getting into this segment of bikes for the first time, it is a toe-to-toe competitor to BMW. With this, the HD Pan America, and the KTMs out there to challenge BMW, the adventure bike segment is only going to get better.
Great review Jed! It’s a fun bike eh, but too much like a GS with attitude for me. If I was looking for a more aggressive / sportier GS I probably would’ve gone that way. Loved the broad spread of the engine and the top end rush when pushing it but jumping back on the big old bus RT felt too good to give me any regrets. It made me realize the inherent differences in a tall bike with thinner tyres to a “traditional” sport / tourer. Plus I would’ve had the bike taken off me within the week if I got the Ducati lol
As you can see, your chances of winning the gloves are extremely high at this point. I will choose the winner on Sunday afternoon, Los Angeles time, and I will plan to respond to the winning post, announce the winner in a post on the Community tab of my Channel and also in a subsequent video. Good luck!
It could be a rocket. The best thing since the motorcycle itself was invented, but the fact like it sounds pretty much like the BMW G310... Nope. I'll stick to the boxer. The sound of the Multistrada is hideous!
Any Bike with Ducati on the side, while a miracle of technology, will never reside in my garage. Why? They are the most uncomfortable bikes to ride in the world.
We have our winner for the glove giveaway! commentpicker.com/youtube.php?id=ycp_6247a24b6eb5a6

Congrats, Ray. It’s a great choice. I keep thinking about it, and I really want to get more time in the saddle!
@@TheJedRides every time I'm riding the Ducati no matter how far it's not far enough lol, so comfortable & exciting to ride
@@raypetrocelli595 I believe it!

I absolutely LOVE these bikes and are shortlisted for my next bike…..but the chain maintenance. Really leaning towards shaft drive for my next bike.

You seem to be riding it like a GS - downshift and give it the beans!!! LOL

"...more aggressive / sportier GS" is a great way to describe the Multistrada V4S. Of course I agree with you about our beloved bus!
Great review! I want (and need) new gloves...

Cool video 👍🏼
Thanks! 👍
Interesting, but I would find it hard to swap , but the servicing sound great once every two years did you say
I think I know what you mean, Carl. i see the world of motorcycles through a BMW lens!

Hello “Uncle” Jed. Are you considering getting rid of the new RT? I want them.
Not for a long, long time! :-)
i think this bike is more of a competitor to the bmw s1000xr
Same approach to power, for sure. I think the Ducati, though, has legitimate off-road capability beyond that of the XR.
I want the gloves. (I also want the bike if you could throw that in as well).
😂🤘🏼

I've been on a few that were uncomfortable. This one was, in the brief time I was on it, pretty comfy!
