      @@KnoxArmour Yep, cinematography and editing are second to none, but you ruined the experience with the pointless invasive musac.
      Here are two thoughts you could apply to your decision making in this regard:
      Would I or anyone else sit and listen to that ‘music’?
      Do all motorcycles actually provide their own unique theme tunes?
      If you can honestly answer Yes and No respectively, carrying on with your present plan will no doubt leave you with your currently undeservedly low viewer figures.
      Ride safe.
      Peace

    I'm an early owner. Hit the 35.000km mark within the first about 1.5 years and still in love with it. I would buy it today again, without any regret.

    Great review. I’ve owned an original multi 1200S, the upgraded 1200S and the later 1260 Pikes Peak and swapped to the v4s a few months back. As you say the bike is stunning , refined but fun, great build, good
    Looking, comfortable. Best bike I’ve ever ridden

  • @RK01

    Best bike I have ever owned. It is thursty if you ride it fast, but I have had 215 miles out of a tank cruising on the motorway at 70-75mph with panniers fitted, so it does depend how you ride it. I have the full Akra system fitted which not only looks great but it sounds awesome too, it's not too loud to be annoying on longer tours adds a bit of power and torque as well.

    I need to chose between this and the Streetfighter V4SP.
    I’m 30. So I’m not old enough for a Multistrada, they say.
    But I do love how it rides and handles.
    The Streetfighter ist nice as well.
    And a thing of absolute beauty.

    • @JpOcDenver
      @JpOcDenver 2 роки тому +3

      If you’re deciding between those two bikes, then you don’t know what you want to do on a motorcycle. Speaking from experience, that’s a problem. Any Touring? Commuting? Two-up? If those are all a “no” then get the streetfighter. Two or more yesses is the Multi. A yes on anything besides commuting: Multi. Done.

    • @markholmes5695
      @markholmes5695 7 місяців тому

      Tend to agree 👍
      I’m getting one in December.
      I’m 90% sold on the SFV4 over the Multi.
      I do plan on driving Bilbao to Alicante once a year however. Short enough trip, I think the SF will be comfortable for that kind of ‘tour’ where I’ll be stopping every 1.5to two hours anyhow to look at scenery/take a pee😅.
      Will only be ever two up if my wife wants to go for a blast together without her bike…so not that often.
      Won’t be commuting at all, weekend/free time bike 👍
      The Multis are incredible bikes non the less. I’m not overly sold on the looks however.

    I have eight friends with V4S's (including my own) and we all get typically 160-165 miles until the gauge reads 0 miles remaining (very pessimistic). But then a further 14-15 miles until empty, so a real-world ('making good progress' - ahem) range of 190 miles. It's thirsty, but the price you pay for the best riding experience in the sector. Sounds amazing, but...what about the elephant in the room? What is Ducati's reliability like these days? I continue to hear stories about spending too much time in the shop.Who here has a late model Duc with some miles on it?

    The most important item that was not mentioned , how reliable is it going to be getting from a to b for many miles ,reliability has never been Ducati’s strong point , time will tell on the V4 . Of course the GS bmws have always been on top in the reliability and resale value in the European adventure bike market What is the value of a Ducati smile 😃

    It's not exactly a hardcore off roader is it. It's more of a sports tourer/adventure bike with a slight capability of travelling on gravel roads with the stock tyres of course.

    Too pricey and poor fuel economy, I hope they improve the design from the 1260 which had very poor engine paint/corrosion resistance

    I think the Tenere or Africa Twin are more off-road oriented than this, and they are miles ahead in reliability than anything from Europe, this is more of a on-road luxury tourer.

    Nah, just get the Desert X. Much better. Or wait for MV Agusta's Lucky Explorer, which might give Desert X a run for its money.
