Nice brother. Had a V2 briefly then traded it for a V4s travel radar (iceberg white btw). Concur with all you say. It really is the most amazing motorcycle 👍🤪
Bought the V2S, when I swap in I’m very tempted by the V4S but it would have to be a low mileage ex demo given the price. To be honest I don’t think the V2 lacks anything for the road…and I have had no issues with the vibes on long trips, she’s smooth for a V2.
I think we can all agree it's just too expensive. Great bike no doubt I had a go of one. To much power for the road and double the price of a ninja 1000sx tracer nt100 suzuki gas and the list goes on. If it was around 17k to 18k then fair enough for north of 22k 🙈 you can buy a bmw 3 series brand new for that
Can’t deny it being expensive. But who owns these bikes long enough to pay the whole thing off? Not me that’s for sure. On a 3 year pcp with deposit I’d be looking at paying around £10/12k for the bike I have. 😀
I do not agree. It is worth the price. Better built with better components than all other bikes in the category. If I wanted this kind of bike this would be the one.
A few reviews have commented the brakes may not be strong enough for hard/emergency type braking at higher speed for a bike of this weight. You mentioned the specs of the brakes but did you get a chance to see how they performed when you needed to bring it down from speed quickly?
Thanks Richard. Got the Ducati Streetfighter v4s releasing this Saturday and then there will be the M1000R coming next Thursday. 😁. Hope those are what you were looking for. 🤣
Good review matt.seems like this one lives upto the hype!what would you buy if you were looking for a tourer though?africa twin looks good,gs?triumph the multistrada? Not ktm!
Thanks Mart. So I almost got the AT after the GT but was as impressed this year round as I was last. The GS took the first place out of those two. I’m yet to ride triumph so i won’t make an uneducated guess on that. But right now my money would be the Multistrada. The engine gives you the excitement over a parallel twin or inline four. Full satnav capability, good wind protection and luggage options. What’s not to love?
@@DSR1YT umm,the price😂ive decided to sell the superduke next year and i need to get something suitable for 2up and doing long distance.ive never really paid much attention to the tourers, but i saw an africa twin with all the boxes on in the red white and blue and thought for the money it looked really good.havent tried any yet though. Probably buy used and be looling at no more than15k,which might rule out the multistrada depending on how they fair depreciation wise.
SDR didn’t do well in the service bay then aye 🤣. I know some people do rave about the triumphs. AT at 100bhp can feel lacking sometimes. Especially if 2up with luggage. Maybe a GS is in your future 😃. Welcome to the old man’s club.
@@DSR1YT No,sp motorcycles are brilliant, but ktm have royally stitched me up.i wont buy another ktm put it that way.still love the superduke, but ktm as a company are shocking to deal with. I may pop to dick lovetts and have a look at the bmw's.i had read the AT lacks abit of power.
@@mart7798 Sorry to hear that mate, KTM have some work to do behind the scenes if they don't want to go belly up. I see these times as opportunities, means more demo rides and the fun times of a new bike 🤑. Dick Lovett has a great selection of demo bikes for sure. You never know, I might be there filming one day when you go there.
Sadly no PP edition at the dealer. They do have the rally version which I’ll be jumping on soon. Streetfighter v4s video is coming this Saturday to help you with your decisions 😀
@@DSR1YT sf seemed pretty comfy but idk if it's all day comfy, especially with a bit of buzzing through the bars that makes my hands fall asleep, a throttle lock would help there since there is no cruise control, and the legs are much more relaxed than on the tuono which is my main source of discomfort.
@@volodymyrshoniia2424I have a 23’ PP and I’m super happy with it. Just got back from Deal’s Gap/Dragon and the surrounding area roads and it was a beast for a all day comfortable touring bike. In the end, it was a 3000 mile total road trip and it only reaffirmed that I got the right bike for me.
@@SpecterSeventy2 the young lunatic in me loves the streetfighter with it's aggressive ergos, looks, and engine, but then the old and sensible man in me tells me mspp would be better on highway, more comfortable, and still have all of the performance that I'll ever be able to use on the road, streetfighter really felt the need for a track or absolute lunacy on the road. You made a great choice for your trade in. It might replace the GSA at some point, I will have to see what the new GS1300 is like when its released.
@@DSR1YTI’m sure the new GS is going to be another seriously amazing bit of kit. Enjoy when you do get a ride and look forward to the review👍🏻😁

There’s always some deals to have on ex demos when the times right. I’m glad you’re enjoying the V2. Ride safe.
Beautiful motorcycle. I'd also be happy with the v2 though.
Ill take the V4, you take the V2, compromise :)
