  • These Chewy and Fudgy Chocolate Crinkle Cookies are so easy to make. The cookie dough are rolled in powdered sugar for a beautiful crackly surface once baked. These cookie is a perfect holiday gift for any cookie lover on your gift list.
    INGREDIENTS:
    Yield: 40 cookies
    - 2 cups all purpose flour
    - 2 teaspoons baking powder
    - 1/2 teaspoon salt
    - 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    - 1 1/4 cup white sugar
    - 1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil
    - 4 eggs ( room temp )
    - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    * Cover and freeze for 1 to 2 hours or chill overnight
    - 1 cup powdered sugar ( for coating )
    * Bake in a preheated oven at 175 C for about 10 to 11 minutes.
    * Allow to cool completely on the baking sheet
    * Cookies stay fresh covered at room temp for up to 1 week

    I tried making it I used hersheys powder and instead of using white sugar I used brown sugar, I used avocado oil instead of vegetable/canola oil. I didnt have vanilla extract and it came out really hard. I didnt know what I did wrong. I followed the measurements but it didnt came out great.

      May be you over baked them a little bit, try to bake them a minute less next time.

      Yes! They’ll be soft when they come out!
      But the quickly harden slightly and there chewy and fuggy 👍

      Parchment paper or baking paper ang mas mainam na gamitin. Ang pagbe-bake ay nangangailangan ng espesyal na papel na kayang tiisin ang oven temperature nang hindi nasusunog o nasisira.

    1 cup of flour is how nany grams?. Mine turned out like a dough. It was so dry not like the ine you make

      1 cup of flour is 120g. Sorry to hear that, I've made this recipe over a dozen times and consistent result. I also received positive feedback to those who already tried this recipe. May be you over-baked them, try to bake them a minutes less next time.

    Ask lang po sana bakit yung akin hindi fully covered ng powdered sugar after baking? Like madami siya spaces hahaha may tips po ba kayo?

      Depende kasi sa klase ng powder sugar na ginagamit or sometimes, kung nasa pinas ka masyadong mainit madaling i absorb ng dough yung powder sugar. Ang gawin mo i-shape mo muna lahat into a ball para sunod sunod mong ma iroll sa powder sugar then bake it right away.

      Yes Karla pwede kaya lang matagal ang baking process kasi by batch ang gagawing mong pag bake dahil maliit lang ang oven toaster.

      Hindi pa naman nangyari sa akin yan when baking chocolate crinkles. I'm not sure kung okey ang resulta kung sa dry ingredients mo naihalo yung sugar. Importante kasi ma melt yung sugar kasama ng oil, eggs at vanilla.

      If you dont have any on hand, you can omit the vanilla extract without impacting the final texture of your choco crinkles.

      Hi Mary! Chocolate crinkles will last for about 6 days when stored in an airtight container at room temp. Kapag nilagay mo sa refrigerator it will last up to two weeks.

      These cookies baked from a lower oven temperature because it gives the dough time to properly spread. A different temp can make a huge change in the outcome of your cookies.

    Nag try ako nito sa ibang recipe. Pero failed cya. Same ingredients lng naman. Ang dry niya at ang hirap imix. Tas di siya nag spread. Bakit kaya? But i will try this again.😊

      Hi Mabel! When you added too much flour this will cause the mixture to have a dry texture. Kung mapapansin mo yung mixture ko medyo sticky, nilagay ko pa yung cookie mixture sa ref before ko bilugin. I hope these recipe will turn out successful to you.

      At room temperature they will last up to 1 week basta they kept in airtight container or sealed bag. If you want to keep them longer keep them in the refrigerator.

      I hope this will help, you can roll the cookies in granulated sugar first then in powdered sugar to prevent it from melting when baking.

      I recommended using room temp eggs, as this helps to mix much better into the cookie batter.

      Recipes that call for room temperature anything is to ensure all your ingredients are the same temp for better blending and emulsion. If temperatures differ it can cause your ingredients to split in some recipes.

    Tried the recipe now and it was really messy forming it into balls. Recipe calls for 4 eggs and I used large ones which is what I always use for baking. When I read the comments, turns out she used medium size eggs. The size of the eggs made mine so sticky and moist even after leaving it on the freezer for a few hours. The cookies came out flat

      Sorry to hear that, make sure to stick to the ingredient amount the recipe calls for otherwise the dough could be too sticky to work with. Try using med size egg next time and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours, or freezing them for minutes to an hour makes them more manageable to work.

      @@christine_hp6665 Thanks for subscribing, Christine! Mag bake ka muna ng ilang batch check mo kung fudgy ang result kapag 9 minutes ang baking time. Every oven kasi is different in terms of temperature, it vary from oven to oven. To make the crinkles stay white after baking at hindi ma absorb ng dough try mong i roll muna sa granulated sugar before powdered sugar or confectioner sugar.       Hi Nacer! Mahirap talagang haluin dahil medyo sticky yung dough. Next time try mo na I-flatten ng konti yung ibabaw ng crinkles bago mo i-bake.

      May be you over-baked them a little bit, try to bake them a minutes less next time or may be you over mixed it or may be there is not enough fat in the batter try to add a bit of oil instead of egg.

      Baka po sa klase ng cocoa powder na ginamit mo, Di ko na po mabilang kung ilang times ako gumawa nyan pero so far wala namang naging mapait.

      Hi Earl! I used cacao puro ( la chocolatera ) but you can use any brand of your choice as long as it is unsweetened cocoa powder.

      Glad to hear you had success with this recipe. I haven't tried it but i'm sure you can use this for matcha crinckles. Try to adjust the amount of sugar.

      The most likely reason kung bakit hindi moist yung chocolate crinkles is that they've been overbaked. Kapag sumobra kasi kahit isang minuto lang, it will result in dry or slightly hard cookies. Mainam na mag timer ka sa phone mo para accurate ang baking time.
