That’s so weird. I watched a random video about this game a couple nights ago and didn’t think I’d see any new video about it because it seems so underrated. Nice to see it getting more attention. The character design, spritework, and gameplay are top notch.
This game is wacky. The game has so much tech and weird interactions. This game was actually a playtest that was never released. We are looking for a board of it to get a better dump of it. Cool video.
VERY interesting since it DID get a Saturn port (complete with anime intro) but that wouldn't be the first time this happened since if I recall, Final Fight Revenge was also a playtest that got ported to Saturn.
@2d fighter fan I mean, theres quite a lot of people saying that older things were microtransactions and are mostly fans of micro related business like gacha and such, that kind of shit should end.
@@jironamos7650 It's LITERALLY a microtransaction. It was impossible to pay once and play forever. Do you think people would be happy if you had to pay 25 cents every time you died in Battlefield?
@@aolson1111 Get good, many people have payed once, and played forever. Saying that this is an issue is trying to redirect the blame and protect modern scam companies.
The fact that you reference Loony Toons more than once, makes you my favorite fighting game streamer. 😆 The game does look good. I love fighting games, but I am way below average skill wise, but I love watching good players play. One of the few genres I enjoy watching others play.
This is definitely a hidden treasure. The sprite work is gorgeous, the animation is smooth, in the gameplay is definitely ahead of it’s time as it’s like the precursor to anime fighters.
I got eliminated round 1 but I had a blast with this game. I would love to see it on original hardware. The flicker and audio issues really didn't do the art justice.
Hey bro, love the video as always. Just wanna say when I asked about how you stay calm while losing on another video you gave me a good response. And I’ve been incorporating your attitude of learning as a goal instead of winning, I’ve actually managed to calm myself down and enjoy the games I play a LOT more. I used to only be able to tolerate a few games online before my clammy hands and heartbeat made me want to get offline. Now I can chill and play fighting games while enjoying myself, and it’s in part because of your instruction. So thank you!
@@AdriAhmad His response (far as I can parse), was just explaining his own process, you have to actively reframe your mind to set the goal of learning from your sets, not winning them. By doing that, you set yourself up to spend the energy you waste on getting mad about a loss you can't undo on looking back on your decisions in the set and thinking about how you could have played better, where you made mistakes, or what you weren't prepared for that you might wanna keep an eye out for in the future.
@@AdriAhmad Yes I will try to go find the comment and I’ll tell you what he said. I think the most important thing I did was deliberately and VERY consciously started taking deep breathes and telling myself to calm down when I felt like I was getting worked up. I really did try to take every match and feel happy for the things I did right, and not worry about the things I did wrong. It took a lot of deliberate effort to retool my brain into having fun, I at one point couldn’t play more than 1-2 matches without getting so angry/worked up that I would get offline. The best tip he gave me was to take each match as a learning experience, and it was hard to feel that way at first when I would lose but now I genuinely am doing that.
@@AdriAhmad Verbatim this is what he said "I think it's 50% experience and 50% attitude, after you've played for a long time each individual win or loss feels like it matters less. SFxTekken had big stages to make up for the high corner carry in the juggle combos, but it had the unintended side effect of giving characters way too much space to retreat and lame out opponents. This would be awesome in a remake. Re balance and redo all the sprites for the characters. This is the crazy kind of fighting games we deserve. We lack any new wacky weird fighting games.

I have done a video about this game on the Saturn. A great game for sure. Too weird that the boss isn’t playable in the Saturn version ( at least I didn’t find how to unlock him)
There should be a mod to replace the game's timer with an actual real timer that lets you know how much time you have left instead of making you do math based on the assumption of the clock ticks in-game. Sorry I just got triggered cuz that timer doesn't make sense to anyone. Unless I'm being dumb
I think it’s more shocking that the matches could go on this long without anyone losing all their health. This is way longer than most games that aren’t tag based. Feels more like the run away options were just a bit to good.
