I remember being at the big day out in 1999 in Sydney and after Marilyn Manson played everyone left in great floods and droves while Hole was playing... it was like the outro music
I still remember going to the Heineken Jamming Festival in 1999 in Imola, Italy, if I remember correctly, the town known worldwide for the Ferrari, exclusively for Hole. Let's say - to put it mildly, like MM did talking on the drugs topic - that under some points of view i have a vision of Life different from CL, and that I feel like she has quite some double standards (not only on the substances abuse) - but I vehemently love her work as an artist . . . I barely knew MM and Placebo, at the time. And discovering them, along with seeing for the first time Hole live, has been a truly great experience.
I hear you & I hear MM too, & I am a former Heroin addict myself & NO ONE to judge anyone! However, what people seem to be forgetting or just didn't realize is that she had VERY recently become clean herself, sounds like her entire band did too, & it's VERY difficult to be around drugs & addicts AT THAT TIME, & of course she later did drugs again. BUT it was never a question of a "double standard" ~ it was a question of vulnerability, & the slippery slope of relapsing, especially in that environment, & how this tour did so well & lasted so long? I'm SHOCKED, because under those circumstances? I find it MIRACULOUS it lasted longer than a WEEK!!! I've been on BOTH sides of this issue, too ~ when you're using, you don't want to be around anyone who has become clean ~ even if you love them & are HAPPY for them, you still feel like they're judging you, so there's resentment, naturally, & maybe even shame. So I don't blame either side for feeling almost betrayed. I'm sure you know of many bands who go clean, like Aerosmith, who won't even let anyone in their CREW do drugs, let alone any fellow artists ~~~ no one accuses them of a double~standard. It's just too tempting if it's right there, is my point, LOL!!!
@@crisssledge8351 maybe i'm sort of an exception, but in my clean moments seeing someone getting drunk or high just gave me a sense of relief for not doing it. And in my non clean moments i had problems with non using people only if / when judging me, above all pretending not to understand that i actually had chronic pain issues, at peridos, before i even touched a psychoactive substance - but had no problem at all with non judgemental people. Maybe i'm such an exception because i've been around drug users since before i started myself. Prohibition EVER attracted the attention of people on drugs. As simple as it sounds, the "charm of the forbidden" is a trap for the consciousness and for the body. Imagine what should happen if TRUE prevention instead than repression should be used as main tool. I know that in the US prevention campaigns reduced tobacco smokers about 50%, without outlawing cigarettes / tobacco. You know why? Because fear mongering is one thing, prudence is another. On all Life aspects.

For real. They basically have the same "rise to fame story" with the exception that Madonna didn't use a high profile man to pave her way. Madonna used a musician and boyfriend she had when she first moved to NYC that hardly anyone knows about named "Danny". Both just want all the lights and attention in the free world on them at all times. Interestingly, in mid-1991, Hole had started getting major label attention and Maverick was one of the first. Maverick is a subsidiary of Warner founded by Madonna and a prestigious music executive. Courtney declined their interest partly because she didn't want to share the spotlight with a label tethered to one of the industry's iconic female performers. Oh, and they both can't sing, play guitar or act. (Courtney winning the Golden Globe for playing a junky hooker with AIDS, in "The people vs. Larry Flynt" does't count. She was also fucking Edward Norton, the lead actor, at that time. Screwing the lead and then getting an award....coincidence?)

Imagine trying to live new life while people can’t forget your past and are smearing it to your face every day and call you a murderer and don’t want you to see be better etc
@@annapsom.9 Well, Courtney IS the one who ordered a hitman to kill Kurt. At this point it's pretty obvious.
@@annapsom.9
It’s not judging, she was all over the news for being fucked up, and I’ll be the first one to say that the hole/Manson 99 tour I wished I would’ve gotten to see, I’m a fan of the first hole record, live through this. Malibu is a killer song off celebrity skin. And let’s not forget of her portrayal of Althea Flynt in The people VS Larry flynt. She done an amazing job. But watching this footage of her trying hard to act like her shit doesn’t stink. So I’m not judging, she’s infront of the camera wearing the hypocrisy on her sleeve. And it’s nice to know she gotten her head out of her ass and pulled through.
The original i don’t know her
Oddly enough, it was the commercials that really dated it and made me feel sentimental.
muy bella kourtney , y bien rockera lo que es aun mucho mejor
i wonder who won that alanis off tour contest?
I remember being at the big day out in 1999 in Sydney and after Marilyn Manson played everyone left in great floods and droves while Hole was playing... it was like the outro music
Lol marilyn manson
@Takeover TV Lies !! I was there too at Sydney show.. the place was PACKED.. Hole was the headliner, not MM. Anyone can find this footage.
I'd come for Hole
this is funny to see. I was at the Portland show that she is talking about. I dont doubt that she didn't want to talk about that one 😂
Right??
EPIC memories
Love the 90's
@@crisssledge8351 * i wanted say "carefulness", not "prudence". In my language "prudenza" means "carefulness", so I just f*cked translation up.

The famous grouppie in rock history
Courtney’s not a groupie
You forgot Black Widow with a contract, and I am not talking about a Recording contract...
@@paigemarie5586 Yes, he START like a grouppie, before get married with Kurt
@@dianayz4644 I don’t like Courtney but she was never a groupie. She’s been doing music projects long before Kurt ever formed nirvana. Look up pagan babies. It was a group she was in with Kat Bjelland from 1985 - 1986. She was even in Faith No More (there’s footage of that here on UA-cam). Nirvana formed in ‘87. Hole formed in ‘89. She was in hole 2 years before she ever officially got with Kurt. She has a lot of shit qualities but at least criticize her for the ones that are true, like how she’s a racist piece of sh*t.
@@paigemarie5586 LOL yes she is and EVERYONE knew it.
Manson in his prime in 1999. Wish I could have seen him back then
I like how she calls him Brian. Courtney probably bullied the fuck out of that guy
I went to this concert but hole dropped out and I never got to see them
I did too) I'm chocolate dude) they replaced Courtney) with band called Nashville pussy) they weren't nothing as good as hole) mm was real good) he scared the shyt out of us) the shock rocker😅
“I don’t know her”

I love the 90s ads!
9:52 Alanis Morissette in a comercial after Courtney Love Hole after show interview..... isnt it ironic?? The90s was the best period ever.
How is that ironic?

God. I wish I had a time machine!
"and they all have black hair and little turned up noses" 🤣
I remember when they called this tour in 99.
I laughed at 21yrs old.
"No way it works."
Hole is more alternative/indie-ish..
MM was completely in yo face. Sell everything
always have always will love manson.
Never seen this before and don’t know why this wasn’t sighted as reason why the two had beef for soo many years lol! It’s pretty clear here She was throwing shade hardcore!
If Kurt never died this tour could’ve been even crazier with both Kurt and Courtney and Manson that would’ve been even more epic
i wonder if kurt knew or knew of him
can someone tell me the song at 11:08 from the Doritos commercial??

14:20 Marilyn Manson's performance
She was supposed to be at Nassau Coliseum! Only Manson showed up.
I love Courtney's shallowness... Lies about not knowing Manson's girlfriend as if they didn't tour together, that's hard to believe... And she goes on to judge Manson and bands drug use... LIKE SHE WASN'T MARRIED TO A TRAIN WRECK herself.. I just opened a dictionary and yup low and behold right under hypocrite is a picture of 90s Courtney
She also paid Allen to kill Kurt
Married to a train wreck?..She was the train wreck
Yes, "interesting" choice of words to describe Kurt Cobain.
“Yeah her nose is cute”’😊
“Yeah but it’s turned up a lil bit”😮😂😢 THE SHADE
How'd that work out

Danny carrey from tool is in this? the tall weird man in the band

Wow that trailer for Go is really misleading! That movie is absolutely not about Katie Holmes' character

When Courtney talks she gives me Madonna vibes 🤣
Considering what we know about McGowan now, that’s even more cruel. Awful when women hate on women and treat them as objects as much as anyone
Wanted to make it 333
“Is she the actress?” Bahaha - savage
Why would they tour together if they didn't like each other?
They did like each other their both divas though. At least Courtney And Manson, Twiggy were friends. Twiggy & Courtney were more than friends actually...
@@Sindollx666x so this was made up tv drama?
@@TheeMrsGrinch they literally say in the interview even they don't have a problem with each other, did you watch it?
They have had their own drama time to time, but they always make up. Even when they both were on Sons of Anarchy they were burying the proverbial hatchet.
I saw this tour in San Francisco and she cut her set short and got boooed off stage because she was complaining about "Brian" It wasn't a 50/50 tour at all Marilyn Manson's 'Mechanical Animals' was the #1 album on Billboard in 1998 and she was just a Mess who had delusions of Grandeur and nobody kissed her feet that's why she Quit the tour.
Courtney Love got fed up with guys acting evil when she's like actually evil.
John should have asked her about that Seattle cop she was cheating on Kurt with and who helped her cover up Kurt's murder.
"Cindarella, they want sluts like you" is such a vitriolic line, it's fab.
