If you watch Marilyn Manson in this interview, one of his later interviews, he is much more comfortable and he even is trying to joke around and have fun. Also, Bill Maher is with him, which Manson has been on his show in the past, he clearly likes Bill and is comfortable around him. To me, this is somebody that was bullied and not treated fairly, probably his entire life. It looks like he realizes that people are actually accepting him as he is, so he is more relaxed, which is freaking awesome!

I think he was at his most confident during this era. Golden Age was the height of his mainstream appeal to the much younger millennials who were 13 when Golden Age hit. He had dita, his biggest partnership and sponsorship deals and that tour saw the band doing some of their largest performances of their career
This of course doesn’t undermine the smash hit era of mechanical animals but I think he was just really vibrating on max during this time

The most amazing thing about this entire video is Maher sitting with Leno...
Two entirely different worlds of political views, but good friends.
And had to add that the second amazing thing is how much nicer Jay was to Marilyn than David Letterman ever was...

Letterman was a dickhead to many of his guests, and it got worse over time as he became a cranky old man.

ik this comment is so random and no one will probably see this but Marilyn Manson is a very talented musician and is a huge inspiration because of how much he made a statement back then. Yes there was a lot of negative feedback but he was just able to fuck around and just have a laugh. That's what I love sm about him.

The host takes the piss out of him because its tv and viewers want to see that. Backstage they are having normal conversations and probably friends. On the set when the camera is rolling the mood is different for the audience, its called tv.
