I’m an interior designer. I loved this series. Every detail was carefully considered and beautifully executed. The amount of work it took to make the absolutely stunning plywood walls should make most craftspeople be in total awe. Many can’t get drywall to match perfectly. What you accomplished is amazing. I’m so glad you were able to keep to your inspired vision on the inside. It is really a design crime that your HOA caused you to change the exterior so extensively. The original exterior was beautifully designed. You made the best possible look with their requirements. The most ridiculous part is it appears from the video like the only people who can really see the front of the tiny house are the ones living in the main house - you and your family. And on top of that the HOA wanted extensive trees install to make it completely hidden. I hope you build that forbidden sliding door screen one day.
You guys are inspiring! I really want to lower the costs of some of these home projects. My teenage daughter and I are planning on painting her room and eventually I want to tackle the exterior. Seems like a daunting task
Great job all around! Used a sprayer for the first time last year when I painted my 24x40 shop and 16xx16 storage shed. It's REAL easy to apply too much paint. (My Graco really throws out the paint!) The key is staying consistent with the tip distance and spraying speed. I did great on the lower levels but had to spray in awkward positions for the peaks and did get some runs that I didn't notice at the time. Agree that the 3M masker is awesome! Does take a bit of time but painting is super quick. Also had the metal shield ... worked ok but got me in trouble a time or two. lol
This was fun. Much like a lot in excited to get back to the shop to see that progress. How much of a relief is it to have family come over and not have to stay in the main house? 😄.
Is there a skirting plan around the base of the house? I’ve been interested to see how you were going to deal with that, if at all. I don’t know what the standard practice is in your area but around here it’s generally not terribly attractive and I figured you might have a better option.
@@craftedworkshop that’s interesting. Here (north Texas) it would be expected to be closed in to keep animals out and help keep pipes from freezing on those rare times the temp drops that low. But like we’ve seen throughout the series, what’s normal one place isn’t the next, and that’s fine too. The place looks great!

What's with the 1980's wood panels on the walls and ceiling. Also NEVER use Home Depot brand paint! Spend the extra money and use Sherman-Williams Paint....ALWAYS! And why not a Graco sprayer...almost 1million subs and you go on the cheap...WTF son!
First, though I agree that sherwin williams has the better paints. Home Depot higher end paints are still very quality. Second, I would like to know what you mean by graco. If you are talking about they’re magnum line then there is no difference. The Wagner is a great homeowner sprayer. If you are talking about something like a 390,395 or higher, then it is just a waste of money to buy something that won’t be used that much. Also Wagner is owned by titan, which makes pro grade sprayers.

As far as the Graco there are others like the Graco Magnum X7 for around $400, even the X5 @ $317. Either one of theses would have been better than Wagner sprayer. I think they may have sent him the Wagner to try out. IDK And lets be honest, Johnny is bringing in a good amount of $$$ every month from his UA-cam channel, I'm sure he can afford a quality sprayer, even if he only uses it every few years
Pro tip use paper and mask off your spray shield so when it gets loaded up you can just rip of the paper and remask it.

@@chasestout7491 Didn't really have any problems with it - nothing leaked. It was the X5 model. I bought the longer hose to avoid moving it so much.

Landscaping is the main plan. Nice shrubs and other plants should look pretty great once they grow in.
