CHONKIE BLANKIE!! 😂 I havnt made as much this month, but I have made something I really really love so I’m a happy girl. Love you lots Wendy!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve made scrap blankets with 2 different yarns also. The blanket is very thick and warm. I plan to donate it to a shelter human or animal❤ I live in Houston Texas 😎
I’m really loving how mine is working up! I’m so happy with my scrap blanket so far- and every one will be different! What a lovely idea to donate yours. So pleased to have you here 😊
Check out Comfort for Critters. They give handmade blankets to shelter animals to help with their adjustment to shelter life and once the animals get adopted the blanket goes with them. It is a wonderful charity.
Hi. Love your blanket great idea. I make crochet appliqué with scraps of yarn to go on my dog clothes. Look forward to seeing your yarn haul. Love from Jacqui 🏴🐶mad dachshund lady
Recently, I've made a couple of baskets with leftover variegated yarn. I love them but it is hard on my hands to work with three or four strands of yarn at once. My favourite thing was when I took all my leftover baby yarn from making blankets for friends' & relatives' babies, magic knotted it into huge balls of yarn and made myself a shawl with the result. I generally don't wear pastels, but the shawl is warm and cozy, and I love it! It looks a little like a tree trunk with multi-colours. Have fun with your blanket!
Hi Alice ,I have been making granny squares out of my left over yarn, but after seeing your scrapghan would like to give that a try,so I will have 2 projects going on with my scrap yarn ,thanks for sharing, hope you don’t mind me copying you 🤗🤗
Looks awesome! If I did it, though, it’d be c2c, I go bonkers doing rows! Although, when I started crocheting, I made a scarf for friend with one row of each (well, a friend had her 5 year old cousin visiting from a different country, who was absolutely delighted to get it… she had suggested it when I saw her, so I whipped it up in 2 days… just in time for Christmas!)
Hi Alice! I just discovered your channel, after seeing a video about chaos blankets for shelter pets. YT directed me to Kiera‘s dollhouse, where she talked about that & the organization she donates small scrap blankets to (called comfort for critters in the U.S.) Then YT directed me to you! The algorithms are fun sometimes. I’m going to have to look for progress videos about your lovely scrap blanket (I see this video is a year old.) So many things I want to make. Love your energy!
I’m now on my third scrap blanket and my aim is to make one every year using the scraps from all my projects! So happy to have you here- it’s a bit chaotic at times but if you can cope with that then I hope you’ll have a fun time with us 🥰❤️
I've made several scrap blankets you never know how they are going to turn out I just put my scraps in a bag n pull on out n add it to the blankets some time I try to match colors but it's fun to see how it turns out great wayvtobusevuo ur scraps
I make lots of scrap blankets for animal rescues I love them I always double strand my yarn when making animal blankets ( I don't like thin yarn like dk but it goes further than chunky yarn ) have fun doing yours x
That's a really great idea Alice, might try that myself... but I'm so bad with WIPS, I currently have about 6 going on, two that I've finished but need to weave in ends and a box full of scraps! Can't wait to see your end of month finished projects, the cardigan your wearing looks great! 🤩
Cool blanket Alice, I honestly don't have left over yarn🤔 I do keep yarn ends to stuff legs of amigurumi and necks, but scrap yarn I just don't have any. I'm not sure why, maybe I need to crochet more

Brilliant idea! I defo need to start to make a blanket out of my leftovers! I also keep all the trimmings that i cut off from projects once i’ve tied them on and no idea what to do with those! I was thinking using them for stuffing for amigurumi but i don’t think it would be squishy enough! Any ideas? Looking forward to the ali express haul! Take care ❤️
Ooohh I actually used my yarn cut offs when I made my ‘Mr scraps’ dragon (pattern by Ami amour). Hence the name Mr Scraps! He is actually lovely and squishy and holds his shape really well 😊
You are a wonderful spirt and I am glad I happened across you channel!

I've made countless scrapgans over the years, they are the most loved and used blankets in our house.
And each and every one is different!! ❤️

I’ve crocheted a few “scrapghans” now and they are my favorites actually. Probably because they end up being so colorful and cozy!

Appliqués are a fab idea for using up scrap yarn- especially when they’re going on such cute items 🥰

That sounds amazing!!! It’s quite satisfying as well when you make something beautiful out of ‘leftovers’ ❤️
I'll try to use my leftover yarn for amigurumi and sometimes for a blanket. Always great to see you Alice😘😘🤗🤗

You’re lucky if you don’t have any scraps! I have so many from finishing projects and then not having enough leftover to make a whole new thing!
Just found your channel and cannot find that shawl you are wearing!? I love that pattern! What playlist/video title is it under? Thank you!
Yes
